KIM CHIU Gets Renewed with SISTERS

I guess it's true for Kim Chiu to say that when it rains, it pours! She's unstoppable as she gets another feather to her hat as she gets renewed with Megasoft Hygienic Products Incorporated's brand Sisters Napkins and Pantyliner. 

This coincides with Megasoft's 24th Anniversary. Aside from the endorsements, they have spruced up the packaging on the premiere product line. The event was also attended by Megasoft Vice President Ms. Aileen Choi Go whom we've seen a couple of times during events from their brand.

She laments "Kim has the same values as us at Megasoft. You've seen her doubly work hard in the different projects she's in including shows like her recent hit series Linlang and What's Wrong with Secretary Kim. During out small talk while shooting the material for Sisters, you could feel her enery and how she lights up the set whenever she's there. She's very fun to be with, and still stays quite humble, and always takes good care of herself. Needless to say, she's admired by countless people who know her across the country!"

Kim was ecstatic and said "I am so thankful, honored, that Megasoft trusted and believed in me eversince. Being part of their brand and their advocacy of empowering women across the country, I'm excited on what we could do more this year. It's another partnership with Sisters!"

Kim will be part of Sisters efforts as they take their different roadshows and events in Metro Manila, Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. They continue to educate women about hygeine. All of these are very meaningful initiatives which they will also talk about on Kim Chiu's vlog. They will also make sure that their products will be affordable, but still maintain quality at the forefront. This is just the beginning of another fruitful year!

KIM CHIU for HELLO! MELO Beauty Drink

At a packed space over at Blue Leaf Cosmopolitan in Pasig City, noted brand Brilliant Skin Essentials just launched the new "Hello! Melo Beauty Drink" and their endorser Kapamilya Actress Kim Chiu.

Kim has been teased a lot on Brilliant Skin Essentials social channels lately and seems mighty proud of this new endorsement. Brilliant Skin Essentials Hello! Melo has vitamins and minerals that aims to improve your overall skin health, relieve joint pains, prevent bone loss, improve gut conditions, strengthen hair and nails, and support weight loss.

Cebu Lawyer and Viral It's Showtime Searchee OLIVER MOELLER Gets Signed with Cornerstone Entertainment

You've seen him in It's Showtime as a searchee Lawyer from Cebu, but we all know he's got the looks and physique to make it to showbusiness and yes, he's actually doing it as he just signed with Cornerstone Entertainment today. His name is Oliver Moeller, and he's just starting.

He is a real deal lawyer, one who graduated from University of San Carlos in Cebu. He took the bar exams in 2016 and passed, so yes, you can call him Atty. Oliver for all the right reasons. 

He didn't stop there though, because he also took his masters degree in Public International Law from University of Queensland Australia back in 2019. He also worked in Brisbane at Little Lawyers who's specialty lies in compensation cases before he went back to the Philippines. His specialty is corporate law.

He's also into sports, fitness, strength training and coaching. His Filipina Mom Joy Moll, German Dad Heino Moller and his siblings were all at Kao Manila club that afternoon to support him. He was born in Deutschland but grew up in Lapu-Lapu city in Cebu. He has a lot of potential so we wondered what he wants to do in show business.

He was welcomed by Cornerstone Vice President Jeff Vadillo and their President Erickson Raymundo. As for now, Oliver will be flying back and forth from Cebu if ever he has projects in Manila. He also is open to do workshops and training for acting projects, and maybe delegated hosting stints because he's quite eloquent in English.

JAKE CUENCA Grabs Role in "What's Wrong with Secretary Kim"

Had lunch with Jake Cuenca this afternoon as he talks more about Morpheus, his character in the hit show "What's Wrong with Secretary Kim" (Philippine adaptation) on Viu. Obviously he's attacking this role differently and when he watched it, he eagerly wants to do justice with the role.

Jake says "If I make you cry here, it's not because of heartbreak, but this man is calm and done differently. PSJ is a great actor, so is Cyrus, but the effort here is even more than my previous role in Ironheart. I really prepared for it emotionally. This time you are bringing this to an audience, I had to look for things in between."

He adds that after the pandemic, he wanted to work with the best people including the late Deo Endrinal. He would've regretted it because they were able to tweak the character for him and it's a different take in the Filipino adaptation. When I read it, it was interesting. I do flourish on an off beat role especially Eros, on Catleya Killer it's always very interesting and meaty. I've come to embrace that they put me here for a reason, and I can elevate it."

They thought it was going to be the typical Jake Cuenca but they will talk about the portrayal after the show. He is grateful especially for the audience that comes with it. Jake knows how hot KimPao is. He says "When I'm in the set I don't look at romantic scenes, but I'm really blessed to have been able to work with Pau, and with my best friend, I feel I've had more growth. If we did this when we were young, it would have looked totally different."

KIM CHIU at the Hairfix PROfessional Line Launch

 

It's been a while since I've seen Kim, last time was a press conference before the pandemic. But I've always taken an interest in everything that she's doing especially with her relationship with Xian Lim who's also a warrior (we both are from UE). Kim has always had that bubbly disposition, something that you can't really find much in the industry. I wasn't surprised to see her land big roles in a few series in ABSCBN, and as of recent, Linlang on Prime Video. Kim has been long gone with those teeny bopper roles and has already been the apple of the eye of various brands that want her as an endorser. And now she's a part of the LifeStrong family, and is endorsing the new Hairfix PROfessional Line.

Before she arrived, there were a few people that Hairfix had on the event to tell their personal experience with the products being launched. I guess this was done so people could connect with ordinary people.

Mom Chris says "I truly love their products til now and I've been very experimental when it comes to my hair. My hair is aging and it gets damaged a lot, I need to take care. I love the Collagen Peptide and Castor Oil leave on hairspray. I don't use conditioners but these combo is effective for me especially with coarse hair. Popular hygiene brand Sisters just announced their newest brand ambassador this evening and yes, it's the one and only Kim Chiu. Sisters has always been the go to brand for sanitary napkins and panty liners in the country and this is under trusted parent company Megasoft Hygienic Products Incorporated.

Kim they say has always been synonymous to someone bubbly, inspiring and down to earth. Coincidentally, she's also celebrating her 17th year in showbusiness and feels this has been a great opportunity to send the message across women, of all ages. She remains an important part of leading noontime show "It's Showtime!", Sunday noontime show ASAP and upcoming show "Linlang".

KIM CHIU For LifeStrong Hairfix and a Good Cause

Lovely Kim Chiu seems to be on a roll as her career comes into new heights with the recent movie entitled "Always". It's a Korean film adaptation which she has done with real life partner Xian Lim, sort of a comeback piece for KIMXI fans worldwide.

Aside from that, she's the face of Lifestrong Hairfix together with Ms. World PH 2021 Tracy Maureen Perez and current Miss Hispanoamericano PH 2022 Queen Ingrid Santamaria. They were flanked by several influencers from the beauty niche and shared their experience in making Lifestrong Hairfix the perfect solution to wavy and straight hair. Kim knows she had to make sure whenever she's out of her house, she still had to look good out in public. Kim also took part in the recognition of European Hair Factory and our very own Philippine General Hospital as the brand is also supporting cancer patients who are undergoing therapy through hair donations for cancer patients that the brand is also sternly supporting to this day.

Kim says "I've been witness to the goodness of Lifestrong and Ms. Margaret Lee. Her wish to have great hair for all was a noble cause and knowing how hair is needed by cancer patients, I'm glad they are helping a worthy cause so they too could bring back their self confidence. KIM CHIU Stars on BAWAL LUMABAS the Series

 

This is under the production of Dreamscape and iWant TFC and yes they are not stopping in creating more all original content. This time, they're banking on Kim Chiu's very controversial statements during the pandemic which became a hit song and now becoming a new series, now isn't that a good thing?


It's called BAWAL LUMABAS the Series and during the presscon, Kim says "I play the role of Emerald, the eldest of 4 and I became an OFW for 10 years and when I came back to the PH, I thought it was going to be happy, but unfortunately, the dynamics became different. I was still the cool sister, had to go back to school, and also became the classmate of my youngest sister. I thought it was just money to solve things, but I had to bond, to communicate, and cherish the time together. I got to renew my contract with Star Magic and ABSCBN. I wanted to stay at home but I ran out of cash during the pandemic, so I was afraid to go out. I guess we all suffered, we had about three months normal, the rest was crazy. My parents were not strict when I was growing up, I learned a lot by following only a few things from them, they let me be when I needed to. I got to be independent early, I can cook, I can clean because if I was hungry they did let me learn how to cook. It was only when I was told by my grandma not to go home late. I have a phobia with cats because there was a time that I was chased by 5 of them."

Direk Benedict Mique added "This was actually pegged to Vilma Santos' movie Anak but she was the sister since the parents perished so it would be a lot different."

Kyle Echarri says "It was hard during the first few weeks of the pandemic.  I wanted to go to Cebu but it was hard, I got to go there in the nick of time and had been able to stay with them during the past few months."

Trina Legaspi shares "I got to develop a new skill during lockdown, I didn't know I knew how to do vlogging. I found ways, love was so nice too. I got engaged with Ryan, we now have a venue and church, he just proposed in the barbershop and invited my family."

Paolo says "During ECQ, I think it was a nice experience for me because I got to really be with my siblings, we had anxiety but I think prayers helped during that time."

Giselle Sanchez said "I had to go out because I had to buy food for my family. I partnered with a convent so we could feed the homeless during that time too. I got to renew vows during the pandemic so there was always love."

Maybe you'll get to see more funny and dramatic stuff from this series, at least Kim had a lot of things that she didn't expect to come from those times she got bashed for it. She's thriving, she's on this show and you'll probably watch it. I didn't get to ask questions as we were so crunched for time. I also didn't get to hear when it would be shown because I left the conference after I heard them saying I wouldn't be able to. But it's probably going to be shown on iWant TFC since this is a series.

Kim Chiu, Dennis Trillo and JC De Vera for One Great Love

I was expecting an installment of Shake, Rattle and Roll to come from film production Regal Entertainment Inc. but I guess they had different plans this 2018. One Great Love is their official entry for Metro Manila Film Festival this year and it stars Kim Chiu, Dennis Trillo and JC De Vera who will play star crossed lovers who wished for an ideal relationship, in a journey that would take them to various depths of love, friendship, breakups and moving on. This is under the direction of Eric Quizon so it is already interesting to see they dynamics of this new pairing.

Kim says “ I am Zyra, who only wanted to find love. There are different kinds and forms of love, but it’s the one that you won’t forget, even time wouldn’t be able to erase it. At first I didn’t want to promote this because of the love scenes, I don’t want to label it that way because it is a movie that doesn’t exist just because of the love scenes. You will see it because it is needed in the story, I was challenged, they took care of me and I was secured, remained to my core that it is just essential. This is rated PG and not R18, I won’t be scolded by my grandma. I was really nervous so I didn’t talk to them, it started with us back to back. Are we ready to fall in love again? That is the question!”

Dennis adds “ Ian is secretly in love with Zyra. It’s when you love less of yourself and more of them. It was fun and exciting to do this because I got to work with her even if we came from different channels. I was a little nervous during the first few days so I really talked to Direk Erik just to shake that off. I had to had help, and also helped Kim so we would be comfortable in both sides. Kim’s kiss is gentle. For those who are confused like we are in the movie, this is a nice place to start. If you get hurt you will get to realize a lot of things, that pain will always be there. You will remember the good and bad things.“

Marlo adds “I play Bryan, the one great love of Miles. Everyday you want to spend time with her, it’s the greatest feeling. This is the first time I am doing this role and we only talk when we are on the scene. They should look out for the sofa scene. She is literally light to work with.”

Miles says “I am the younger sister of Kim in the movie. I always ask myself about it, unless you feel it you wouldn’t consider it to be the greatest one. Actually One Great Love isn’t just because of that, it has deeper meaning. We all went through it at one point, you will relate with the characters and this will bring something for anybody.”

Eric Quizon says “When you say great love, it’s the truest one, the one you spend time the most. The script was by Gina Tagasa and it was just given to me, at first I was asked to change the title but I didn’t want to do it anymore because it was a great script. It was made and given to kim solely. She read this on the plane and agreed. Casting was a different process, the casting was thought about because this is out of Kim’s comfort zone and JC and Dennis had to sync because the managers wanted the opposite role for them but I wanted the other. Originally the kid sister was the sure one, it’s why they ended up giving advise. I did several jobs before this so it was easy because they have initiative. They talk in one corner and very professional, I heard Kim scream every now and then. Zyra went through waiting, hurting, the happiness, realization so you will go out crying and happy at the same time.”

The film also stars Marlo Mortel, Niña Dolino, Jenny Arteta, Clara Del Rosario, Fiona Yang, Mich Ligayu and Joric Pecson. They are also introducing Lauren Madelaine Cabugas and also including 80’s-90’s star Maila Gumila.

Xian Lim for the Key of X Album

You must have really missed him to actually read this article. Don't worry though because you're going to be lucky because we're posting a LOT of photos of him during the album promo he did at ABSCBN for his newest album KEY OF X. It only has 5 tracks, giving his fans and supporters a little bit of everything in this album that has been patterned with his sold out concert of the same name. I feel I also have to support him because I am a fellow warrior, as he's an athlete of UE in basketball. Other than that, he's half of #KimXi which I adore as well. This is a little different from his past ones because he was able to personally handpick everything. He also was able to dip his hand in arranging, choosing the songs, doing his own spin on it together with suggesting a ton of songs that wasn't included here. Those will be kept in a bank and will come out in future albums they say, also a couple of rap numbers which he'll also be performing in his tours (one is in Eastwood this month so go there!). Now here's what he said during the blogcon. 

Xian says "If only I could choose the 5 songs, Star Music actually gave me freedom to do that. I am actually very happy listening to these songs so I really planned to include these things from my youth. I am currently in the process of filming a drama, with Coleen Garcia. This is under Direk Gino Santos."

"I think we will be having a schedule with Star  Music too because Kim is also launching her album. There will be revivals but different and unexpected treatment, it won't be like the original jukebox vibe. I like April Boy and how he performs, on how he communicates with people when he sings, because you'll feel like you are singing with him while he is performing. The track "Manhid" has a lot of my work in it, you will hear most of the lyrics I contributed - and perhaps to get to know me more. To be able to sing a variety of songs is but an honor for me. I tried to also put in a little something for everyone."

He adds "I love acting as much as I love music, my Mom is a piano teacher and I have been exposed to classical music and piano ever since I was a kid. I couldn't choose between acting and singing because it's like you are asking me to choose between my Mom and Dad. I think I like songs of passion, it has nothing to do with my personal life. I talked about it with my producer who loves these kind of songs by the way and we love it. I have worked with Maxene in the music video and quite impressed because I made her run in Binondo, and she did it without hesitation. I know my fans are understanding because I really talk to them even on social media." 

About the album he says "I sent a lot of songs, but the concept of the album had us limit it to a theme so it won't become repetitive. I talk to Kim about the charts in MOR and we laugh about it. It's fun (singing and songwriting), but I always ask the people around me for advise and I love listening to constructive criticism. It keeps me on my toes to always pursue my dreams, like writing, I do that when I'm alone and the creative juices flow when I listen to love songs, Bee Gees and Bread. I like the track called Download, it's something the people enjoy too so I think that's my favorite."

The thrust of this album is to have strong individual singles and not a lengthy albums because the attention span of people online are actually less, that a new song comes out every Friday but Xian wishes these songs he handpicked would be good for you.
