WEB HOSTING

The World Wide Web has its flood gates open to thousands and thousands of web hosting companies. These are the guys you go to in order for your name to exist in the Internet. I recommend service providers to my cyberspace friends and family since I am the local version of geek squad. Routers, Wired and Wireless Devices, Internet Service Providers, Domain Name Servers are all but second language to me so where else should they turn to? One good thing lead to another in my site so I'm spreading the news and let them have the convenience I got from purchasing my own domain.

Today's online services can get you limitless ways to customize your website and add in widgets that would grab the attention of your chosen audience. Since I have a more personal site, my experience and day to day struggles are all out in the public. My musings of self expression has never stopped since day one. This is much of an outlet where other people can tell their own version of the story. It makes you understand how powerful the Internet is. If you plan to get acquainted with what's happening with the rest of the world, you need to be online.

When I was looking for a web host a year ago, I was asking local Internet Service Providers about it. They dealt with me with standard bills that reached a couple of thousand pesos just for maintenance. They did not even have single software to use so I could easily customize my site. I knew right from that start what I want so I went ahead and applied for go daddy. There are similar packages available at http://www.hosting-review.com/ and the site recommends other excellent web hosting providers that can match your need.

With their services at around a couple of hundred pesos (a few dollars), you can have your own domain and have them host it too. No other Domain Name Service configurations needed to start your own site. This was the best package I could get at that time when I started this all and I never looked back. My site and its success relied on the web host for its logistics. I plan to put up another one because there's still is a lot of work to do. I need to improve it, but I’m quite sure they won't be going down anytime soon. That's what I learned from their site, you can't tell anything just by looking at their prices. You need something more that that so they let you understand unbiased, valuable content in their site and reviews. If you want plain English, with no sugarcoating of anything under the sun, you should take a look at Web Hosting Reviews. You won’t regret it young web master!

Rihanna too Sexy for Malaysians!

Tuesday, January 06, 2009

No attires like this in her Malaysian concert. This is too sexy for them. We have to understand their culture! ^_^

RIHANNA has turned back to Good Girl to perform in Malaysia on February. She's gonna be shying away from skimpy outfits because of the strict rules on performers' dress in the Muslim Majority country. Gwen Stefani and Avril Lavigne had huge protests from conservative Muslim Malaysians over their taste of clothes. Gwen had to even dress up to minimize show of skin in her concert.

Female performers in this part of the world must be covered from the top of her chest, including her shoulders, to her knees. I hope Rihanna brought along her pyjamas ha-ha. Pussycat Dolls concert in 2006 was fined $3,000 after they was accused of indecency. They did not dance in pyjamas. Hahaha! Avril Lavigne's moves were adjudged "too sexy" last year said in an online article. They warned everyone there that Rihanna was even sexier and more dangerous than her. Avril was better than their girlfriends. Hahaha! joke!

Rihanna's show in a 16,000-capacity Kuala Lumpur stadium were selling like hotcakes when local newspapers announced the event. It was cancelled late last year because of these protests from conservatives in Malaysia. I wonder if they also sang "Umbrella," "Pon de Replay" and "Unfaithful" there too. (^^,)

Toys for the Big Boys

This is a big secret that I will tell you, I was skinny and dark when I was kid. Don’t laugh at me now okay? I just played a lot in the streets, out on the scorching sun because I enjoyed being with friends at that era. I was even called names because of that. But all in all, I really loved my childhood. I can tell I was never a dull boy.

Everyone recognized me, even the folks of my playmates. We didn’t have any formal playground at that time. We just drew things on the pavement, rolled marbles on the afternoon soil and went home filthy. I know my Mom was mad every time she saw me go home stinky ha-ha! But that was just me and I still clean up nicely after all that. Being the good looking boy that I was (as the title indicates on my site) at that time was a little hard because it meant I had to go to adult occasions like weddings and programs so they have someone to look forward to when the time comes I need to make everyone laugh. I even had some short stints in TV shows and acting workshops but I wouldn’t brag about that now because it’s just too old.

There would be some times that I enjoyed staying at home playing alone. Not that I had a world of my own and became a special child, but I had plenty of toys I could spend time with. Cars, Trucks and gaming consoles were some of the best things I had when I was a kid. I had it all figured out what story to tell and role I’d play when that was the only thing I could do when my parents are out working. I had some of the best times of my life doing that. The toys were just like treasures for me; they were the ones that kept me sane the whole time. Those were really memorable for me because it did something that made me who I am today. Toys today are now made with the thought of making a kid’s interest grow. It has evolved to a whole new level and things like these could hone the interest of your child. Like this one for example, it can bring the music in your child’s life.

These are called MAG NEXT toys, which can start developing your child’s mind early. This can get your kid into music, they are called Smart Builders. Wouldn’t you like to have your child the advantage? You know what to do about it now that you read what I’ve experienced. The benefits are enormous!

New Price Rollback for January 2009

Uyyy...Ang sweet! Hahaha!

Good news for everyone! The Department of Energy is expecting a major rollback in prices of diesel and gasoline this January. This has been the expected outcome since the prices of oil has not risen significantly in the last few months of 2008. Prices are still too high as to what is computed as fair in the 3 big oil companies.

Energy Secretary Angelo Reyes formally contradicted newbie local oil player Flying V that there would not be a rollback this month because the trend of oil prices is going up in the world market and they have already given the discounts as early as December of last year. They are also warning the public that the oil prices will continue to gain momentum and raise a few dollars more in the coming months. Reyes defended this stand stating that the prices of crude oil in the US was higher even in November which justifies the expected rollback for this month. If it's not given what's due, then an investigation will push through for these private companies he stated.

I just hope he does what he says. ^_^

The Importance of Insurance

I was at the gym yesterday and getting back to my old routine of lifting weights, running 2 hours and sweating off what I ate from the Christmas and New Year feasts. While I was around my second set, I decided to go back to my locker and check my phone for text messages. I powered it back up and got surprised my phone was ringing, it was my sister calling and I wondered why. I was telling myself what it could be that would force her to call me this early. This is not a regular thing, when I talked to her she was already screaming and asking me to go back home. Our house was on fire.

Shocked and awed by that, I immediately packed my bag and ran out. Grabbed the first cab I could hail and asked the driver to kindly get me to our house as fast as possible. He stepped on it and within 20 minutes, I saw flames and smoke from afar. Something was burning at the back of our house. Fire Trucks immediately came in and swept the fire out in a few minutes. Fire was out, but all I could see was a burned third floor of our neighbor’s house. There was no wind at that time; thank God it did not reach us at all.

My family was safe and so was our house, but our next door neighbors was not that lucky at all. I was thinking where we could have been if it was windy that day. What would happen to my family if our house burned down? We did not have motorcycle insurance, insurance for the house, the car and even some of my family members. We could have lost everything in a few minutes and suffered a lifetime if that fire dealt with us.

It’s now a priority for me and my family to sit down and talk. We need to take care of our lives and our property. We need insurance from those who we can trust even at these times where there is an economic crisis. Good thing there is http://www.autonetinsurance.co.uk/ that we can easily call and go to ask about it. They have the best deals and an excellent customer experience! They really know what they are talking about, so why don’t you start thinking about your family’s safety and call them right now. It’s something you wouldn’t regret!

Filipinos in Gaza Strip unable to Evacuate

This is a building hit by Israeli Planes in Gaza.

There are about 47 Filipinos reported that were unable to evacuate the war stricken Israel – Gaza Strip border, this has been the latest update of the Philippine Embassy in Tel Aviv, Israel to Malacanang.

Deputy Presidential Spokesman Lorelei Fajardo said that there were about six more Filipinos that were about to flee with the convoy of the Red Crescent through Jordan but they were unable to do so because of the fierce fight between the two factions. Aside from that, Israel was not allowing any unauthorized entries beyond the border of Gaza Strip. It’s sad to know that this has now affected our migrant workers too.
Because of this development, they are forced to stay in the fire lines and await further instructions from Red Cross, Red Crescent and the Philippine Embassy. This is a voluntary evacuation only because most of the Filipinos in the area already have families of their own. I just pray to God they are all safe, and can return home soon. I hope and pray the war will end too.

Memories of Citizen

When I was a kid, my Grandma used to carry me around their church to attend Sunday school so I could get along with other kids. I was pretty excellent when it came to speaking, writing and the English language. I was personally taught by her before I even started school. I know I was the best at that early stage. When she dresses up for occasions she never fails to impress people. Even if we didn’t have that much then, she was quite presentable. I remember she had this gold watch I used to look at that time. It looked expensive but I never asked who gave that to her because I was oblivious about brands and stuff.

On a day where we were doing our English lessons, I was looking at it one time and she told me a story about it. The watch was given to her by her brother, so that’s like my Grandpa too. She always was bragging about it back then because obviously that same gold slim watch I was looking at was one of the best ones the country had at that time. Other people know how classy you look then just by looking at the brand. I remember it clearly, that it was Citizen.

Aside from the name and fame it got being citizen watch and the biggest, best watchmaker in the world; Citizen made the first slimmest Liquid Crystal Display watch. They also were part of several Olympics I know. Today, they also have been known to lead in the field of timepiece technologies. They pioneered voice recognition which only was seen in science-fiction movies back then and dive watches with electronic sensors. It’s now part of most watches today, but you and I know that the original still is the best. I remember my Grandma when I hear this brand of watch, because we still have that watch at home even after more than 30 years. Wouldn’t you want that watch of yours be an heirloom too? Trust the Citizen Eco-Drive to do that for you!

Israel Pushes Through Gaza

Israeli soldiers look over Gaza, when will this war stop?!! (-_-)"

Israel seized control of high-rise buildings and attacked houses, mosques and smuggling tunnels as it pressed its offensive against the Gaza Strip's Hamas rulers while just today in the news, I heard that the U.S. joined the countries pushing for a cease-fire in the region. Palestinians also say that there are about 540 dead and nearly 2,000 wounded since Israel struck war on Dec. 27, including at least 200 which were said to be civilians.

There are three demands to be met to stop the Israeli operations in that region:

1.) An end to Palestinian attacks
2.) International supervision of any truce and a halt to Hamas rearming.
3.) While Hamas demands a cessation of Israeli attacks and the opening of vital Gaza-Israel cargo crossings, Gaza's main lifeline.

President Bush and the US reiterates Israel is just protecting itself. The situation in Gaza was caused by the terrorist group Hamas. Hamas still is defiant and daring Israel to continue to make this a bloodbath in the streets. Israel is overwhelming everything since they are experts in urban warfare. US is taking a back seat in this case and is watching over the EU to settle this dispute in a major way. Obama is in the sidelines where he should be since he is not yet in power and letting Bush handle these things. What do you think people should do to stop this war? This is just sad. Comment on this please!

The War In Gaza Strip and Israel

Monday, January 05, 2009

Thousands of people suffering from wars, why wouldn't they just STOP!

Okay, so here I go now telling you what I think about the war in Israel and the Gaza Strip. Some of my fellow bloggers would not probably discuss this on their site because they’re like 1.) Don’t know much about it or 2.) There are other things to worry about that war in this world… I dare now since I’ve been itching to speak about it since I’ve heard it over CNN.

The Gaza Strip, tanks are already going through towns!

I am no war crime expert, but I’ve weighed the pros and cons of this particular war and why it happened. As a background, let me tell you what happened to my Aunt a few months back as she was part of MAJOR HEADLINES. If you are a follower of my blog, you know that my Aunt Milet was kidnapped by armed men from world renowned terrorists/kidnappers Abu Sayyaf. My Aunt was doing preparations to work for an NGO from Malaysia to help the people of Sulu, Tawi Tawi and Basilan. The surrounding areas and provinces included. She however is Christian in a Muslim centrifuged community so she was treated a little differently (I think) in that part of the world. I hated them (Abu Sayyaf) for doing that to the few people who make life better in the southern Philippines because of the fact that there are only a few of them left. How I wish I could just bomb these terrorists so she could be set free because it was just a BIG nightmare for me and my family. We were merely spectators in this case because we knew how dangerous these men were to start with. People were talked to and arrangements were made so she could be released. Yes ladies and gentlemen, she was weak and suffered a horrible ordeal in the treacherous jungles of Mindanao. She was released on a Friday, November 14, 2008 so thank God! Thank Allah for that! (article about it here)

Now, with that horrible experience from terrorists you should wonder what I would feel about this WHOLE WAR between Israel and the Palestinians in Gaza. First of all, I hate terrorists because of obvious reasons. Hamas has been launching 30-40 rockets into Israel these past few weeks before these whole ruckus began. The Palestinian authority has a few people working with this group and some who only purely work for the people and the government. They say they are a different entity in the beginning but they never denied that some of them are from Hamas. They were all part of the fight before as we all know. If we want to point an accusing finger WHO IS TO BLAME for this war, it’s a HEADLESS chicken and egg hunt! These factions have been fighting since B.C. and A.D and the 21st century for crying out loud! Now it’s blowing out of proportion because you know both sides could not be handled by the so called super powers of the world and the UN.

Palestinian Authorities were blaming Israel for killing women and children…making them hungry and isolating them. Israel on the other hand blamed Hamas for launching an unending barrage of rockets to southern cities so they have ongoing operations and plans to stop Hamas permanently. Israel was looking like sitting ducks there for a while since they did not do anything in earlier attacks of the same nature. Hamas in this case was just doing too much.

Israel had to defend itself and its people from the terrorists. If the Palestinian authorities could not do anything about their own internal arrangements with these groups that some even call heroes at their homes, then Israel had to go fight them back to make sure their people are safe. The same case would be done here; we need to also get rid of our own terrorists to eliminate this problem. When do you think this would stop though? Israel is also hurting civilians but they are treating them as “needed casualties” for their own concerns. Who is right or wrong in this case? Who is to blame for the hundreds and thousands of people dying and suffering? Something has got to be done because it is just not enough to ask them to stop fighting. You need to weigh both sides before you can put an end to this. First, Palestinian Authorities must take control of their own territory and Hamas. Police their own borders first and stop whatever radical Hamas militants are doing to hurt people in Israel. Then Israel, after making sure that Hamas would stop what they are doing, should also stop their military offensive. They already have their own marked territories, the only thing both sides should do is work the land they are in and get on improving the lives of their people. Israel is getting alienated in that part of the world not just because they are “Christians and Jewish people” but because they are Israelis. Look at the countries around them… they are all super powers too if you ask me. This is just unending, what do you think both sides should do to stop this war and keep it from escalating? Comments are welcome! So go ahead and click the comment box! This is just my opinion, I need to hear what you think.

Bargain Basement Priced UK Domains

You sometimes wonder how expensive it is to maintain a website. You thought everything is free in this cyber world; a statement which you hear from everybody else, but no. Economies have downsized and a lot of corporations are showing their wares so the general public may benefit the low priced services in these hard times. It’s just the rightful thing to do.

I was presented with this problem when I was in college building websites for people and companies. The fact is, domain name registration is very expensive. For a single lad who only had enough money to get within the day, I had to do extra work for other people so I can finance my own projects. I didn’t know much where to get the services because initially I thought these things were provided by local companies. As books came in and the Internet booming in the region, I have harnessed information that there are several options. One of them is http://www.uk-cheapest.co.uk which even provides the domain for free over 2 years if you purchase hosting services from them. Unlike other companies that inconsiderately grabs your money at the first bite; they only charge a few pounds and even register your name with the domain. This proves ownership of the site and is not provided by most third party companies, so if it’s your turn to renew for the service they hold on to you forever. Single click management of your Domain Name Server is also available weather you are with Google.com, Mobile Me or others. Setting up email is a cinch and they even provide this for free. I know a lot of my friends will surely be excited to know about that! Imagine they’ll have their own email addresses spelling my own domain on it!

If I only knew this was available at the time when I was hooking up 4 companies online then I would have recommended their company instead. I’m sure if they’d ask me again, I’ll tell them of someone who doesn’t have hidden charges and not sugarcoat anything just to buy a domain name. If you want true people that tell you they offer no extras to purchase, if they priced correctly and give you the figures upfront; then this site is the best one you can get pound for pound. I strongly recommend their services so you won’t get the feeling I had when I read about them in the web, regret!
