The Fountain of Youth

Man himself tried to find the fountain of youth since medieval times. They tried to find a solution on immortality or how to even look ageless. Nobody really had succeeded in doing so but there are definitely some remedies that can let you look younger from soaps, lotions and other procedures where doctors are concerned.

No one should practice medical procedures without proper training and education. Doctors these days should always be updated with the latest procedures so that they can do it safely and efficiently. There are horror stories I know but these can all be prevented with education. American Idol 2nd Round 75 Pushes Through!

American Idol's Ryan Seacrest just announced that there's about only 75 people left in the second round eliminations. The famous ones who was booted out were the bikini girl Katrina Darrel, Nancy Wilson who was confronting the judges so much, Austin Sisneros who was fine with anything, Rose Flack who was homeless barefoot and dreadlocked girl, Southern lady Deanna Brown, and David Osmond who's a son of an elder Osmond Brother.

There were 104 singers that started this particular round and they performed with other singers in groups. Those who did not perform well obviously had tears and stories to tell about other people so they were all booted out based on their performance. Others were given the chance if they obviously are just being pulled down by other people in their group.

I wonder what if I joined American Idol, that would be just hilarious hahahahah.... Maybe season 9 would be better for me right? Hehe My friends tell me I sing fine so I'd probably be conquering Pinoy Idol first wahahaah...Dream on dream away!

All Out War Against Termites

My house stands 2 floors each about 12 feet high. This is normal considering how big and tall we are in the family. We got our house painted because my brother was coming back from Ireland and we wouldn’t want for him to see our house not taken cared of. We had some parts of the house identified as problem areas. Much of the material used to build the house is wood on the upper floor. Even the walls were of the same material because that was normal when it was renovated in the late 60’s or 70’s.

We did not have time to deal with that then but parts of the roof were already falling off because water was already seeping through and termites were worsening the wood rots. We usually change just small parts when we repair them back then. This time the repairs called for a major overhaul because the framework itself was getting chewed by critters and termites. We used anti termite chemicals back then but I guess they pretty much have worn off. Rain water also made things worse. Before we could paint the house, we would need to deal with this major construction job. I hated the part that we were only expecting a few thousand pesos on repairs but it turned out to be an expensive one because of that. We even used materials for the house that not only is water resistant but termite resistant as well. Carnie Wilson Hosts The Newly Wed Game

I remember singing along with the Wilson Phillips back in the days where I found them truly mesmerizing. They sound so good together and the songs were just making me and my friends remember everything. This also was played numerous times in Videoke bars we went to and I have this same particular video in my PSP playing almost everyday.

This was released in the early 90's and if you didn't have their music playing among the greatest of the late 80's singers, then you are considered a loser then. I don't consider their sound new wave but it was together with that genre. This was surely feel good music back then and I watched their concerts in videos because MTV was booming then. We didn't really get MTV asia or MTV Philippines until later on. Almost 80 percent of our MTV's were all from the US and Europe which probably is one of the reasons why we are at par with their talents today. Carlie Wilson of the Wilson Phillips will be hosting The Newly Wed Game which was established in the 1960's. This was the show millions in the US watched because of the couples who participated in it almost knew each other until they were asked about it. I'll surely be looking out for episodes of this because I love Wilson Phillips, and I love the show's re runs. You can even tell who she is on the video and see that a lot has changed but she's still that beautiful voice behind Wilson Phillips. I wonder what happened with the other ones.

Advertising No More!

It’s a great day today and I’ve got lots of work to do. My day to day activities and work puts me online almost 18hours a day. With the tons of work I do for multinational companies, I often visit other websites. I also use websites for proxies so I could visit those that are not allowed by office filters since our connection is limited. I encounter a lot of problems and it takes me a long time to do that because of hundreds of ads that I encounter each day. I’ve been dealing with those that pops up and those which just re directs me to other advertisement sites. This not only compromises bandwidth, but my precious time as well.

I did not know what to do because most ad pop up blockers available in the Internet has malicious software embedded in them. That would not really work for me. I tried one that did catch my attention because it was similar to my website’s theme. It’s called AD MUNCHER and it works great with almost every browser I use for maintaining websites. 43 American Idols Booted Out Hollywood!

I watched American Idol eliminations today and boy a lot were given the boot. Among the 147 people who were given the golden ticket to hollywood, 43 were sent home packing as the first day of eliminations commenced. This particular day was pure unadulterated voice in acapella. No music, no backgrounds, just pure voice. There were lots of them filtered because they were plainly inadequate.

The judges so far were keeping it real, I mean you wouldn't want to get the others joining the rest of the batch if they were not qualified. I watched TMZ also yesterday and one of the IDOL hopefuls said she was still in the competition but that really was not allowed for her to tell that. It was a girl, wait let me see if I can get a clip of that. I think this is her, the bikini girl....

Everyone in youtube was comparing her to Catherin McPhee but I don't think that's gonna do justice really. Maybe she got through but it wouldn't be nice to see her in the finals when she did only get attention through her racks right? ^_^ She should show up with the voice!

Take Me Out of the Dark

I've been a fan of third person shooting games. I do very well in them most of the time. Since it started in the late 90's the country has produced some of the world's best gamers. Some of them even were battling it out on the world cyber games representing the Philippines versus the rest of the world. With the reality games kicking in, people have been setting up war games here and outside the metro. I've been to several places in the outskirts of Manila to attend events. Their gears were outstanding. Some of them even carried true to life air powered hand guns and long rifles.

Protective gears were not far because they came complete with chest plates, body armor and helmets. In the dark, some of them used urban warfare devices like night vision goggles. In the heavy forest, it was a little useless because they had to depend on low light. Rich kids had these devices flown from the US or Europe. They now use thermal imaging to compensate for the loss of light and have them detect body heat instead. That was extremely useful for this terrain. If they threw in a flash bang grenade, it would probably have blinded us all. The setting was great, the terrain was nice and the players were having fun. Iran Launches Own Sattelite

I like the rest of the world is worried about this recent development. I'm not against it but when Iran launched their own satellite yesterday, it would only mean that they are indeed capable of creating huge rockets that can carry nuclear warheads. That would just be uneasy to the current world powers, the US and its allies.

If you think about it, they can now easily launch their own nuclear missiles to any country in the world. How did it get to this? What if they do it? Would there be anyone that can stop them from doing so? and at what cost? A million lives maybe?

I hope not. I hope it won't happen in my lifetime. It would really be painful to feel radiation and the shockwaves if that would happen in my place. Don't you feel a little bit terrified?

The Importance of Internal Cleansing

I remember the good friend, office mate, seatmate and webmaster I had here in the company I’m working for. In all the years he spent here, we had so much fun together with the Knowledge Management Department he’s in. With a couple of guys and gals, I even grew to know the people in his family. His wife, son and his newborn daughter were all part of his life. They also became part of ours.

We often meet at parties, events and short gatherings here and there. He was a very good man, adventurous and assertive at times. He led a lot of people into doing their best in their jobs specially the team he handles that does graphics design. He knows what to do in times of meeting hard deadlines and outrageous demands from clients that we have. All of these were taken away in one blow.

He passed away last year and left his family widowed; and orphaned. The root and cause of all was colon cancer. He enjoyed eating a lot of things that were a little dangerous for normal consumption. It was street food, grilled meat and a lot of other things that may have contributed to this ailment. It was already late when he knew he was already at stage 4 of this cancer. I learned a lot from him and his legacy. I try everyday to take care of myself too.

We all need to detoxify and cleanse ourselves often. The benefits of having fiber rich foods in our diet definitely struck me because I had the same symptoms that people who have poor digestion have. I was not taking care of myself then, but I realized I need to do it now. I would not want to find out later that I’m going to get sick because I did not watch what I eat now. It is true that you are what you eat but this sad story of a friend made me realize how precious life is. We’ll never know if we are truly clean inside. LPG Taxi bursts into flames

This just happened yesterday while along Buendia in Makati. A cab who was about to send off a couple of passengers to the airport suddenly had fire in their airconditioning unit. This was attributed to a supposed leak in the LPG tank of the cab which immediately had the fire spread throughout the vehicle. Alejandro Villanueva had just crossed Buendia terminal at about 8:55 p.m. when he saw flames from it. Now, the cab is only going to be seen as smoked junk along EDSA.

A man was also injured when they tried to put out the fire with water. He was a part of the Metro Manila Development Office Rescue Team, but he was not rescued in this case how ironic. I knew these things were really dangerous, I'm sure this is not going to be the only LPG ran taxi that's going to explode. I just hope it isn't me on the passenger seat when it happens. I have lots of places that I go to in that vicinity but I never wished to be barbecued hahaha.
