KUMAGCOW MOOOSIC REVIEWS: Bob Sinclair and His Awesome Music!

Thursday, April 16, 2009

I never thought I was a fan of Bob Sinclair.. well I like almost all his songs except maybe those little unknown ones because they are not that familiar. I go to clubs and these songs are mostly played there. Some are remixed, some are not. I like the beat and everything that he makes, it makes sense they even use it for my spinning class at gym. This is something I won't get tired of listening too, it even has inspired me to blog today so you guys reading this would know. Love it so much that it makes me smile (^____^) !

His music is re worked with classics too, I don't like that idea but some of them work. Some of them fail miserably though like this one which sounded so much of an 80's genre new wave song even after all the effects put on it. The one above though is better since that is by Craig David.

I am actually a little stressed today because we transferred offices from Technoplaza One to ICITE. This place is cramped and hot. Good thing a little inspiration from Bob Sinclair perked me up today otherwise I could have turned this place apart. I'm inching to lift these tables and throw them damn cables at folks here. I am happy though that we get to meet other people from our department. I don't like them looking at me though, I feel like I'm in a fish bowl or sumthin. I hope they get to read this sometime soon hahaha.

I also enjoyed the video Gian made in her multiply account for Leo... those guys are mushy heheh...maybe they got inspired by Sarah and John Lloyd heheh ^_^.

Some weird looking guys are lurking here, I wonder who they are... well I don't care anyway hahah....

The Secret to Success and Riches

Tuesday, April 14, 2009

I am a skeptic; I only bow down to facts that make sense and things that are not out of the ordinary. There are some times that I doubt my self because there are unexplainable events in this world that even I could not comprehend. Science has tried for centuries to explain this phenomenon but to no avail. There are things that are decided by fate and a certain amount of luck.

Have you heard of FENG SHUI? The Chinese have been using this to arrange certain elements and things in their life so that the outcome of every thing that they do convert into streaks of luck. I remember a GEOMANCER once told me about how I could literally change the way of life that I have just by re-arranging the furniture and construction of my house. I was totally against it at first because I was naturally born fictional writer and what seemed to me what he was doing was quite similar. He was telling me to make certain pieces moved inside my house so that the flow of energy would be smooth and not stagnant. I was not into spirits and all that mumbo jumbo but my folks told me to give it a try. My reasoning just gave me ample amount of courage to give it a chance and so I did it.

There are also some recommended water elements he wanted to introduce but I was not into taking care of fish and livestock he might have in mind. I used fountains instead which made that corner of the house more relaxing, a thing that I need to do most. Today, I'm living an easy life but I don't think it was attributed solely to that, so I'm willing to read a couple of books about it and see what it has in store for me. Maybe there are feng shui ebooks that would be able to explain these weird things I have been hearing. I wish I could say "I believe" one of these days though.

Would you do the same just for luck? Let me know!

Philippines Issues Travel Advisory for Thailand

The high and mighty (pardon the sarcasm) Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) has issued travel a negative travel advisory to Thailand in the midst of the Red's occupation of government offices in the said country.

The DFA strongly suggests not to go to Thailand if the matter is not of pressing importance. Thailand has issued a state of emergency in Bangkok because of political tensions that even halted the ASEAN summit a few days ago. They seized a hotel and threatened to do more harm if the Prime Minister does not step down.

Filipinos are warned not to go where protests are being held to prevent them from getting in the plight of danger. I wonder what will happen with my former boss's vacation, I was supposed to go there too but it seems luck is with me. I think there would be some Pinoys that will lose a lot with their businesses if they buy things from that country. Specifically in the retail RTW and food businesses.

New CABAL Online Game Signature!

I just created my own CABAL Online Signature... and wow I really like this one. It has all my information on it too so it doubles as a business card ha-ha!

Good to know I still have it, I haven't been doing this thing since I rested using my desktop computer and used my ASUS Laptop. Well it is much better in graphics obviously so I have more control over lag and disconnections that my desktop usually does when it could not handle the memory requirements anymore. Aside from that, the processor is too slow I guess. Now my Aunt and Sister are the ones using that. I still have a lot of movie space in my laptop computer's hard drive. If I have time I'll put a few movies there so I could use it. Nice signature huh?! heheh

Making Money Now

Monday, April 13, 2009

I am a skeptic but I study small businesses I could venture these days because obviously we are in a very problematic situation. The US President even recognized that the recession is inevitable and we must face it head on. We deal with it with a pro active response and if there would be a place to start, I would rather go the route online to have a broader audience. The ordinary consumer in the Philippines lost their purchasing power so if there is a better alternative on running a business, this would probably be it.

You Can Be Making Money 15 Minutes From Right Now and start changing your life. There are materials you can use to harness greater knowledge in the aspects of affiliate marketing, easy cash and operating huge businesses. The options are endless because of the various opportunities you can learn through their videos and tutorials here. There's no harm in trying!

‘Prayers sustained me during captivity’ By Milet B. Mendoza

My Aunt Milet Mendoza was kidnapped on September 15, 2008 together with other humanitarian workers Esperancita Hupida, Ludovina Borja-Dekit, driver Dionisio Estandante and their companions Romeo delos Reyes and Sahida Alasa. She however was released after a grueling 61 days. I have featured her in my site a couple of times here, here and here.

Our family were worried souls when this happened. I just can't describe how ecstatic we were when she was released after 2 months. Now in this article she recounts her experience in the hands of the Abu Sayyaf. I hope victims and families would be able to learn something from her experience. This came straight from the kidnap victim so if there would be someone to tell us how it is, as is... check out her story here:

We all ask things from God, be thankful for the little things he gives you. For the millions of people that ask from him, at least he gave a little more time on you.

The Genuine Article

Friday, April 10, 2009

I'm trying to put my room together and I need a couple of things to organize my space. It's not that big though but I've thought about a theme. I have pieces passed on from my folks and I would probably use those existing ones and purchase additional furniture that would be able to complement what I already have.

I was not taking it lightly because I even watched a couple of designer shows over at the DIY channel. I know the concept of shabby chic but I think that was a little to feminine for my taste. However I really love the wood work that came with that, so I made an effort to make the hand me down furniture look new by sanding them off and putting in new coats of lacquer stain. Now it looks aged and I purposely put scratches on some of them too. With that in mind I also checked out the wood furniture over the Internet and see what else I could purchase on line. Taking that inspiration from my loft I saw the ones at Scenic Furniture and saw the ones they have that looked like natural wood. I love the raw lumber look and the mere color of it. I'm considering getting a piece but I need to probably do favors with my folks for quite a while before I can get it. Ha-ha!

Pistachio Crisis is My Crisis

It's my favorite nut of all time, I even eat this flavor of ice cream and cakes for cryin out loud. There is a huge problem with it now because of salmonella, which they say is laced about it.

The result for the food tests in pistachio products will be released anytime next week. BFAD has been heading this endeavor and I will be one of them guys craving for it now so it is a huge thing for me.

Up unitl now, the recall for products with this ingredient specifically Setton pistachio of Terra Bella from the US is being held for the same reason. I wonder if the middle eastern ones have them too.Health Secretary Francisco Duque said he has made his people in BFAD go overtime for testing local brands of pistachio products since monday where there would be a 6 day incubation period needed to test if this has affected our supply.

He strongly suggested not to eat it for the meantime. This is just making me suffer a lot! AW!

Working with Fiber Optic Cables

Thursday, April 09, 2009

I've been slaving these past few years configuring Cable and DSL Internet connections for home and small business offices in the US and elsewhere in the globe. There are also other types I configure for common users such as satellite connections, microwave and fiber optic modules that would make ordinary people squirm a little every time the geek in me utter technical jargon for breakfast. I know how it feels and difficult it was when most switches, L1 and L2 Routers do not work as advertised and only to find out that the problems would be traced with the fiber optic cables that have breakages. It just would be arduous to check the line manually like the last time I did it for a multinational company. It would have been easier to just have it replaced immediately but thinking about the cost per feet of this material it would not be economically appropriate. The GBIC devices used to connect these switches to other SOHO and Network devices are also pricey so if there are times that it could not be replaced anymore because the warranty expired, most consumers would not dish out money for it and rather buy a new "more advanced one" instead.

I also had to work the 50 meter LC to lc multimode Duplex Patch Cable they bought for another site and have the logistics set up for that. I'm confident that I could get that to work if they had the right firmware but the one I sent them previously seem to have bounced the initial electronic mail address they gave me. The secondary one went through so we had the manageable switches updated then POOF! We have network and Internet connection working smoothly. I have not checked the status of that since I'm in a different department now, but I'm glad that worked in spite of using other brands in the network. I was afraid it would not be able to do it since the design on the GBIC connectors is proprietary with ours.

I wonder if I could take a peek at that case number I have in my notepad with the help of some of my peers who still are in that account. I fervently hope he did not have problems anymore because that was really a hard one to resolve. Lucky me they bought TCA Fiber Optic, CAT5 and CAT6 Network Cables. The mileage would definitely tell us what its worth.
