The Snickers War VS Hungerlings!

Wednesday, April 20, 2011

You know that time of the day when you already had lunch, dinner or snack but you still feel hungry? I often end up either sleeping it off; because I go all grumpy and rowdy/really if not violent when I see other people happy. I need that certain sugar rush to bring me back to reality and keep me sane in this crazy world. Would you believe I look like this when I'm possessed by a hungerling?! >>>>

You won't see me smiling or making jokes or worse I play tricks on ordinary humans so I can get satisfied with whatever I want to do that day (like throw bombs and fake candies!). Oooh and it only starts from there!

Last April 15, 2011 we were invited to an afternoon of fun and games over at Snickers. Yeah it's the candy bar everyone loves. I was thinking this might be the actual cure to this hungerling symptom so I signed up and got in the mood for war!

Our main tools for warfare: Laptops and Internet connection.

Mommy Bloggers also held the same armaments as we did. They were real troopers!
This is really serious... real serious! They did not let their guard down!

Even after their turns, they watched from the sidelines.

When they finished, everyone was happy and there were no signs of hungerling exposure!

There was only one winner when we went on full alert! How did we win? That's easy!

We played the Snickers Hungerlings Attack over at http://www.snickersgame.com/ ; you can choose to play via keyboard or via your webcam and you'll have the chance to win these fabulous prizes!

Playstation 3 consoles, HP Mini and GSHOCK watches... Need I say more? So go ahead and point your browsers and get those hungerlings a dose of their own medicine! Just register and play the online game now, if you get the highest scores you'll surely win all these goodies!

BUM Equipment's "My Story" Collection

I just recently attended an intimate bloggers event from makers of BUM Equipment. What's great is that I'll be joining the contest too so you must make sure you don't beat me okay? Ha-ha! Seriously, I felt so special when I got there. Their niche market is EMO/slightly dark rock style and this is what they hope you would be able to communicate through photos while wearing their new line

It's called the "My Story" Collection... and it's available now in your favorite department stores nationwide. You can easily identify them on labeled swing tags that come along with it. If you join you'll have the chance to win gadgets like an IPAD2!!! Nope not an just the ordinary IPAD but the new IPAD2!!! OMG! OMG OMG!!

My photography friends, you now know what to do! We've got to get our creative juices flowing and make sure that our fashion shoots would coincide with this theme. We'll be winning that hard to get IPAD2 I'm sure!

Here are some of the highlights that evening!

Dino Imperial graced the event together with the designers, web masters and marketing managers of BUM.

Dino Imperial also shared his views on his own fashion statement. The clothes are easy, mix and match with your existing ones while keeping your individuality through the dark/emo vibe it exudes. He loves prints of graffiti, skulls, things of that nature and this was a perfect fit for him!

Make sure you get the store's branch where you got it from so you would be able to fill up the form completely online!

Belated Happy Birthday Dino! =)

Surely the Best Comedy Film of the Year! Pak! Pak! My Dr. Kwak!

Wednesday, April 13, 2011

I am so lucky! I don't really meet celebrities that much these days but I was so glad I got invited in the press conference of Pak! Pak! My Doctor Kwak! at ABSCBN's Dolphy Theater. Watch this!

Star Cinema and MZET Productions finally released this great film from the one and only Prince of Comedy "Bossing" Vic Sotto and Romance-Drama Princess Bea Alonzo. Directed by Tony Y. Reyes this surely will be another unforgettable comedy film for the whole family. I got there on time and boy I was really star struck with Bossing. Just look at this humble, handsome guy up close when they walked in the venue.

I was thinking "Oh my God! There he is! Ang Idol ko! Heheh" as Bossing (which he is fondly called) walked inside the ABSCBN Gardens. He is a household name and everyone knows him weather they belong to class ABCDE. Not that there is a caste system here but I was just pointing out he is loved by everybody!

Look at who he's also with on that press conference... the pretty Bea Alonzo. She's an eye-catcher to say the least and we know here from her films and TV team ups with local cinema hearthrob John Lloyd Cruz. Apparently this is very new and who would ever thought they would be in the same movie together. There was a lot of discomfort from the movie press and the viewing public because as you can see in the cast, a lot of them are from GMA which is an arch enemy in Philippine television of ABSCBN; Star Cinema's parent corporation.

From L-R Jose Manalo (GMA), Pokwang, Direk Tony Y. Reyes, Wally Bayola(GMA), Vic Sotto (GMA), Bea Alonzo, Zaijan Jaranilla and Xyriel Manabat.

The cast ain't no small thing too. The best comedians from both channels are in this movie. You can expect a riot from Jose, Wally and Pokwang. The throwing of lines and antics will surely get you in a strain of laughter once the movie starts. Did you know Jose and Wally are named Phil and James? Yeah I know! The AZKALS must be jealous! LOL!

Bossing Vic Sotto was serious before the interview of Ms. Korina Sanchez in TV Patrol.
See how pretty she is up close? That's Bea Alonzo for you!

This film wouldn't be possible without the help of Ms. Malou Santos, the Head of ABSCBN Entertainment Group. This must be her pet project!

Bossing and Bea laughing it out while being interviewed live on TV Patrol on this snap shot.

This movie is all about Vic Sotto, a quack doctor that fell inlove with a real doctor played by Bea Alonzo. Zaijan Jaranilla (who played the role of an Angel) fell from heaven and made the miracles true. The story revolved around this but I wouldn't want to give away the details. That, and the great comedic cast... you should really watch this movie. You won't see anything like this happen in the near future because it is so hard to get people from different networks together. Make sure you buy tickets once it opens on April 23, 2011. Yes that is Black Saturday and this feel good movie will surely be a treat for the whole family!

The cast and director of Pak! Pak! My Doctor Kwak! Vic Sotto will surely make you laugh all throughout the movie as the Quack Doctor. Please watch it! I know I will! =)

This film is Directed by Tony Y. Reyes.

P.S.

I saw one of the greatest models in the Philippines interviewing them. Ms. Angel Aquino, please let me have you in one of my fashion shoots! Pushing my luck here! Ha-ha!

It's UNISILVERTIME!

Monday, April 11, 2011

It was just a typical evening when I suddenly found a friend posting a promo in Facebook. It was about UNISILVER TIME and to tell you honestly I haven't seen any of their watches yet. I know Unisilver for obvious reasons like the silver products that I absolutely adore. I probably have bought hundreds of pairs (no joke!) because I gave some of them away to friends too. I knew them by name recall with that but I was glad to have known Unisilver Time... why you ask?! Take a look at this! >>>>>>

This is actually one of the most stylish good looking watch I've ever seen. It's not too glittery or fancy. It's interior even bears the map of the Philippines which I absolutely adore! The black and white finish on it makes it the perfect accessory to pair with any relaxed/outgoing clothes, non-formal or formal outfits bar none! To tell you honestly I don't own a watch now because they usually get ruined after a few days. I'm one of those guys who sweat profusely under the sweltering heat of the sun and with leather straps plus metal casings it wouldn't paint a nice picture. This was definitely perfect for me so I did the deed of joining their FB page's contest and shared it as well to my friends.

A few days after, I received a private message from Unisilver Time's Marketing Manager Ms. Cathy Ygoña and the good news was... I WON!!!!! =)

Instructions on how to claim the prize was all there and it was nice because I got to hang out with my folks afterwards because it was in Binondo (haven of the best Authentic Chinese Restaurants and Savory Chicken). When I went to the building I actually remember it from a previous photowalk I did with some of my fellow photographers. Let me just get that photo... ahh here it is!

They got me balling when they gave me the watch! Oooh I was so excited about it! It was right there! It was true! They gave me my own Unisilver Time watch!

As a matter of fact, I sooo Love it! It's so perfect for me, I was ecstatic and even decided to wear em right there and there! My Dad was envying me all the way to the restaurant and wanted to have one too! I'll probably buy him one soon. Let me just take this chance to say THANK YOU to Unisilver Time I love the watch so much I'm going to wear it everyday and tell all my friends I got it from you guys! Again thank you so much! =)

It's Unisilver Time!

Providing high quality watches for every Filipino at very affordable prices.

They Must Be Crazy!

Sunday, April 10, 2011

The actual reason why I named my site in such a way is because some people think I'm crazy. I self diagnosed with bipolar disorder. I am extremes since when I feel depressed; my whole world collapses. If I am happy I can turn gray ones into clowns. People have been telling me that I should still seek professional help. I actually did but they said I'm normal so let's not spend too much time on that issue. I am worried though because there are people who take medications for psychological conditions that is really harmful. Imagine pregnant women having irreversible birth defects, unusual bleeding here and there, vertigo, hallucinations and a lot more horrible things that can happen upon intake of it. I would never recommend it to any of my relatives or friends and if I have to I'd participate in depakote lawsuit then say my piece against the medicine. The bad effects obviously outweigh the good and if I were in their shoes, I'll never even think about it.

It is horrible that babies could just die like that. How could they still prescribe this legally? Life is so precious; and if someone who undergoes depression needs it but later on gets the horrible effects that would be so appalling! What would you do if you were in that situation? Would you still take the bitter pill if it would cost the life of your child? I know you know the answer to that question.

Good News and Bad News: Taal Volcano

Well in some not so special news, Tagaytay is really nervous because of increased volcanic activity and Phivolcs have issued Alert level 2 on the volcano. People don't actually know that the island in the middle of the lake is the actual volcano. That should be a no man's land but there are approximately 8,000 of them living in it. Imagine what horrible things could happen there if it does erupt. I'm not surprised but government should make laws to get this done soon. I wouldn't want to see Tagaytay, our land and our house there just go to waste. There must be some other way things could get better soon.

Tourism is their main industry and if they don't take care of their people the industry would just die a natural death. Agriculture also is trying to recover but this situation wouldn't help. I'm as worried as the people who live there. I have relatives who are permanent residents there and if there are no permanent solution given to them, it'll just be an unending cycle that also would cost thousands of lives. I hope the volcano ceases to do anything and releases its pressure because as experience taught any volcanologist, any active volcanoes that don't erupt for a long amount of time turn out more destructive afterwards. My prayers go out to them too. Hope nothing big would happen soon.

Do you have relatives in that area? I suggest you call them and tell them to be prepared. You need to remind them. I'm telling you!

Playing the Game and Risks in Day Trading

Saturday, April 09, 2011

I'm a newbie at stock market trading and the risks are generally high in my side of the world. The fact is I barely know the ins and outs of day trading and initially I'd rather stay on blue chip stocks and play the waiting game for most of it. The process though takes quite a lot of time and it does outweigh the conveniences of earning a lot in a short amount of time. There are institutions that can give you day trading tips but I have not pursued it yet. I have quite a lot to learn still and if you read the fine print on most of these on line you would definitely feel the big picture. This is not for the faint of heart and the playing of liquidity can make or break you in a single day. Getting informed of the trends and making necessary steps to understand the market from day 1 is one of the keys in successfully playing this game. The irony is; it isn't a game after all.

If you observe in the beginning, take time to see the trends and make sure you have months of data before you invest money. The liquidity pays but if you think about it; it can also ruin your financial stability. If you have lee way and quite an amount to back you up it could end up in flames just like a jet plane. Understanding this type of trading is the key. Without getting informed of the metrics first or the corresponding risks involved posts a much greater one so make sure you get reputable corporations that indulge in this business like large well known financial institutions. They have way bigger funding and it would be better for any individual trader to rest in the bylines and wait for these guys who have more resources to do the deed for them and just plainly decide later on key factors how to make the risk work for you in the long run. The day trading center can tell you a lot but just like anything in this world you have to educate yourself no matter what. Life is as great as they tell you but it could be the worse for some people too. Stay safe or remain bullish in trading; but make sure you don't run out of money when you plan to earn a hefty amount too. Everyone is playing with the volatility of course!

Willing Willie Statement

Friday, April 08, 2011

Willie Revillame on a barrage of complaints against him made television history. Almost all his sponsors pulled out of the TV program after a huge scene in TV5. Manny Pangilinan's TV station carried Willing Willie these past few months after detaching himself from network giant ABSCBN and made the switch to them but it has all been dealt with complaints since the beginning. Court orders here and there, TRO or whatnot but they still tried to air it despite all of this. When a child contestant was humiliated on public TV one evening thousands upon thousands and government agencies filed complaints to the Channel and local media board because of violations and issuance of child abuse raps aired nationwide.

I know this is going to be big. He even said things against celebrities who sided with the complainants and threatened them with lawsuits. Unfortunately not everyone sees him as a god if he'd like to portray one, or feel like it. Maybe there will be some things he needs to fix on his own yard. Even Lea Salonga of all people were trolled on twitter by his (maybe) newly formed army.

I don't know where this drama would go to. I don't even really care now.
