We're still not out of danger, the pandemic is still there. For most people, we suited up with face masks and try to follow protocols for work and play. You get to be the best, and teach people how to do it too. That's something you can pass on to generations so they too would be able to teach the next ones about it. Who's that HIPON?

Social media has been flooded with images that are supposed to be seen in summer. Tons of Hipons bare mounds and mounds of Spicy OISHI Prawn Crackers on hand and funky dance moves over at Tiktok, IG and even on Facebook. What is this? Where did it come from? Why?

His name is HOT HIPON, the newest influencer around town and he's been making the moves noticed via the #HOTtawChallenge which he also did with celebrity friends (yes he's got that hooked) namely Rayver Cruz, Riva Quenery, Maverick Legaspi, Ruru Madrid and Gabbi Garcia. There are actually more, but for starters, the #1 spicy seafood snack in the Philippines is just inviting you to join in the craze by doing the same thing on your social channels. There will be a huge face reveal to see who this guy is, so now go to TikTok and Instagramthen tag @hothipon so he knows what you're doing. There's an AR for it too, so those who feel like being a hipon for a day, it'll be doubly easy. 

While you're at it, go chomp on the Spicy Oishi Prawn Crackers and see how it makes your moves even hotter. I did, but not dance, I ate them all LOL!

Ianna Dela Torre’s PINAPA Dance Challenge

Pinapa was released on May 2019 and has been popular among vloggers. ABSCBN ad prom thought it was right to make this song about family love into a contest to share positivity and good vibes. 

The prize was actually Ianna’s own 18th birthday fund, but thought this would serve better if they got prizes for people who are confined in the comforts of their home, to help them through the pandemic. The contestants are of different age groups, some are dancers, some are ordinary joes, alone in their rooms and dancing to the beat. 

During the zoom event, they awarded 10 consolation prizes to several groups. Then proceeded to give 3rd place (10K) to Kwader Knows, 2nd placer (20K) to Sugar and Space, and the grand prize (30K) to Mastermind. 

Congratulations! I hope this helps a lot of people, aside from the cash prizes, they also received gift packs and Ianna’s merch. Jonathan Manalo also announced the most creative award and gave it to PhilXpose (who did the dance number while at sea!). 

Later on, PhilXPose received the Best Dance Cover and Best Choreography award, getting them a total of 18K prize pot. 

All well deserved!

TNT Tropa Challenge Qualifiers Today!

So last year TNT invited various groups they call "Tropas" and registration ended on November 15, 2016. Today at the Quezon City Memorial Circle, we're going to see tons of them vie for the Tropa Challenge Champions today after registering through http://tntph.com/tropachallenge last year. This isn't a joke because the prizes are crazy good, as TNT will be giving away almost 2 Million worth of prizes. In the quarterfinals alone, they will be given a couple thousand of pesos if they get to place today so it is as equally important to do good later in the games.

Aside from the cash prizes, they'll also get the chance to join stars such as VMiguel, Jhonh Hilario, Loisa Andalio and the newest TNT Teen Tropa!

If you are not doing anything today, make sure you head on to Quezon City Circle for the Qualifiers set to be held on this day at 10am onwards. It'll be a whole fay of fun and amazing prizes plus your favorite stars in one place! They also get to help the school where they come from so it's just a start!

Glucerna 1-2-3 Challenge Update

I've been able to replace one meal per day using Glucerna SR. As with some of the usual high blood pressure and  heightened sugar levels, yes it did make a difference. I also lost a couple of pounds. Initially I had problems coping because I usually eat a ton during dinner when I only have a glass of Glucerna SR for lunch. I adjusted and tried to eat less after a while. Sugar levels as used in strips go around 130-180 but I remember having 240+ before I did this, so in that regard I did make some improvements.

A few weeks ago, I ran out of it so I kinda had to go back with the usual lunch. I haven't checked yet with the doctor what my current levels were after the series of Glucerna replacement meals. Though I'm sure it was in the normal levels because I've never felt so good even if I was losing a little weight. I wasn't even grumpy at all after a few days which means I've probably adjusted already.

This new batch of boxes arrived just today and I am excited to flood my self with Vanilla. It's not too sweet, it's just right. The chocolate is actually the favorite of a lot of people I know that take Glucerna SR too and I can't blame them because it's also really good. Plus if they have cravings for Chocolate, that word alone would really get them going. 

As for me, I'm having this gigantic mug of Glucerna SR with lots of ice. It dissolves really well in cold water and it tastes just as good when I last had it. Hopefully this time, I'll lose more weight in the process. I must say that 1. It works, 2. It doesn't raise blood sugar levels and would be perfect for those who are having issues with diabetes. I strongly suggest though that in any diet, you must first consult a doctor that would exactly recommend your regimen. 

I'd like to take this bit and thank the good people of Glucerna SR who's taking their time to take this journey with me. Thank you also to my friends who also help me NOT crave for lunch every time we go out. I'll do my best to stick to the plan and further normalize my sugar levels. Blessed be.

I'm on the Glucerna 1-2-3 Challenge!

I have to get you in on this one. I've been having some problems with heightened sugar levels and it's been bothering me for quite some time now. I haven't been a good boy when it comes to softdrinks, juices and desserts. Add to that my hard headed lifestyle of not drinking too much water too. Plus I've got a whole clan afflicted with a lineage of diabetes. Hope springs eternal as they say. Well, I just downloaded the Glucerna PH App on the App Store this morning and tried out the Glucerna 1-2-3 challenge. They gave me a few boxes of Glucerna SR Vanilla and Chocolate a few days ago to get this started, thanks to the great people at Abbott Laboratories. Together with my goal to shed a few pounds, I'll be replacing one of my meals with Glucerna SR and see if it does wonders to my sculptured German physique and washboard abs LOL.

This isn't magic so I would need a couple of things done like managing my diet and a little exercise. Since I quit gym a few months ago, it'll be a little hard. I know people will tell me things and call me names but I don't care. If it's going to get my schedules, meals and activity fixed I don't mind going through this Glucerna 1-2-3 Challenge. I'm a warrior and I don't really back out of challenges. Plus, who doesn't want rewards right? The HardieMan Challenge 2013!

A few days ago, I was really happy to be in the midst of men clad in jumpsuits, work goggles, hammers and saws. They were all "builders" from all over the country and they converged at the posh Rockwell Tent in Makati. They went here to show who's the best in building a HardieMan home through various exercises and tasks of the HARDIEMAN CHALLENGE. Let's take a look!

There were about 12 teams who had to battle each other through skill challenges and I was so glad I didn't go through this bout with them. They had to put up walls, ceilings, floors using the same amount of equipment. But the first to finish isn't going to win this. They have different criteria to follow in order to be regarded as the best builder in the Philippines. Check out the leaderboards when I got there.

It was exciting seeing them all putting up the walls, floors and ceilings. But on the board there was also a part for the QUIZ. Imagine these brute men pushing pens. It tests not only their strengths, skills but of course their geniuses too!

They were also required to wear safety gears. You'd get disqualified if you won't wear them all. Then the action continued.

In the end, it was announced. Winners comprised of 1st place - Shuttershield, 2nd place - Cabico, 3rd place - Gentry, and some Special Awards were given to Best in Workmanship - Shuttershield, Best in Teamwork - Dreva, Best in Safety - Jonzlib’z, Best in James Hardie Knowledge - Shuttershield. I thought it was going to be CABICO because they were leading earlier but I guess the one who got the James Hardie questions right won it in the end! There were new stuff also introduced in the show. It's waterproof, fireproof and so easy to install. Make sure the next time you are building something, give James Hardie a call or visit local suppliers nationwide!
