foodpanda gets Nod at 2022 Marketing Excellence Awards

Looks like another laurel got placed in foodpanda's head as it just copped the Silver Award at the 2022 Marketing Excellence Awards. This is for their efforts on the recent campaign called #Cravingfor Emoji Engine which they ran on the Twitter platform last year. 

This was through the handy work of Entravision MediaDonuts (a partner agency) and is considered as one of three grand winners. This is under the Social Media Marketing category. foodpanda's Head of Integrated Marketing Communications Ms. Lorelei Olalia says "There are lots of food related talk on Twitter and it has helped foodpanda to reach our intended market." Entravision MediaDonuts being the ad arm of Twitter in the country provided needed awareness and engagement through their #OnlyOnTwitter format which gave foodpanda users the ability to get vouchers and see tons of partner restaurants they have on the app. This has also given them positive brand sentiments which is part of foodpanda's goal to build strong  relationships. 

Guilherme de Moura Porto the Director for growth of foodpanda Philippines thanks Entravision MediaDonuts Philippines and Marketing Interactive for the recognition and is optimistic that their partnership with Entravision MediaDonuts will bear more fruit in the coming years.

KRISPY KREME Opens Blue Ridge Branch in Quezon City + HALLOWEEN Donuts!

Folks at the Katipunan -Eastwood and Blue Ridge areas should be jumping for joy as the good folks from Krispy Kreme just set up a Krispy Kreme Factory Branch at Blue Ridge (along Katipunan Avenue in Quezon City). This means it'll be easier to get those lovely, soft, pillowy donuts that's loved by so many right here in the north.

For those who don't know, a Factory Branch is different from the usual Krispy Kreme kiosk you see in malls and establishments. This means that the store caters to the area, cooking donuts fresh so you get the best ones when you go to a Krispy Kreme branch near you. 

I made these! :) One is a garden, a monster, and a flower bed.

During the event, they also had us make our own Krispy Kreme donuts, and since it was Halloween, the 2 floor space of this store was full to the brim of other bloggers and influencers dressed as their favorite character for the season. Krispy Kreme also arranged several performances from real deal actors and actresses a whole musical filled with our favorite songs from Broadway to Disney.

We also got to talk to the Chief Operating Officer Sonny Tiong from Krispy Kreme Philippines and here's what he said about the new store!

Oh and when you see the HOT LIGHT turn "ON" on this particular branch, you can get a FREE glazed donut on the house (for those who are also buying of course!). The cute Halloween themed donuts will only be there for a limited time so make sure you get them all. They serve coffee, juices and other beverages too, so make the trip down Katipunan Avenue to get them fresh off the factory! Look for the Krispy Kreme bow tie sign, you wouldn't miss it!

Derek, Piolo and Dingdong for Dunkin Donuts Delicious DD Bar

Two muscled hunks, all dressed up, laying you down in bed, approaching you with a tray full of your favorite sweet treats they call Delicious DD Bars from Dunkin Donuts. Ease in as they pick it up, touch your lips as you take it in these  lovely soft bars in flavors of Eclair, Tiramisu, Lady Finger, Matcha and Split Royale. 

Enough of that, because as hot as that sounds, it’s just Derek Ramsay and Piolo Pascual giving you the 5 newest flavors which Dunkin Donuts presented in an intimate dinner this evening at the posh Fairmont Hotel in Makati. They surprised us with a new commercial, and a new endorser. Yes they added Dingdong Dantes in the mix!

Dingdong Dantes says “I have always wanted to work with these guys, now that I’m here, thank you! When I went home and gave my daughter products from the shoot, they loved it. My favorite is the eclair, dark chocolate and bavarian. I seriously went on diet because I am going to be with these two! They welcomed me to their fold like family, they are like family and I felt that. I can’t wait to know them more.”

Piolo says “Off and on cam we just talked all day. We shared all our stories and we almost caused delay. My favorite is Tiramisu, but everything is good. If it’s about memorable commercials, it’s the new one where I was dancing with a coffee cup in my hand.”

Derek adds “I am biased with Boston Kreme and I think I can have 5 in one sitting. I have it almost everyday, I have it delivered on set but maintain an active lifestyle. They ask me personally how I am, it’s not just business, they are concerned with my well being and they build relationships with their ambassadors. It has always been like that, and I’ve been with them for 7 years.”

Fun at JCO Wonderland!

Spent the morning at Glorietta 2 to see what our friends from JCO Donuts have prepared because they promised us in the invitation that we will be taken to JCO Wonderland. If you buy JCO donuts from November until today and saved the receipt, you get in for free. You get to participate in the fun games and win a couple of prizes including FREE donuts, Coffee and GC’s!

JCO also has been helping a charity organization called Concordia Children's Services as they take part of their sales profits to fun their education, living costs and supplies. Aside from that, they want to give back to their customers through these special activities, all for the love of donuts!

Tim Hortons Double Choco Creep Donuts

My family in Manitoba got the shock of their life when they learned that Tim's is actually here in the Philippines. I wouldn't blame them because we are in a tropical climate but since they are a global brand, it wouldn't be a good idea to leave us out on having the great donuts, coffee and just about any of the sweet treats they have off the kitchen. This Halloween isn't going to be a let down as they introduce something good for those who would want a fright.

Tim Hortons just came out with their Double Chocolate Creep donuts. The donut and donut hole combo made to look like spiders is just so good to pair with a cup of coffee, don't pass on the double doubles if the kind counter guy or lady offers you one. 

It's packed and baked fresh every day and by golly this donut I got from them was just absolutely filling and surprisingly not too sweet, perfect for me who is trying to cut down on sugar intake and just wanted to have a piece or two. I am not even joking.

Ooh and yes if you've got kids they won't be jumping around that much because of the sugar high, so good job Tim's! Now make that holiday special by getting these chocolate loving dream donuts that match every arachnophobe's dream. I also saw some really cool stories they have on their Facebook page so they'll take care of you too. Go get creepy with the donuts today please!

Tim Horton's Starts Warm Wishes Today!

It looks like Tim Horton's is starting to understand that Christmas season in the Philippines starts when the BER months come in. Just today, they just launched three new Coffee drinks to usher in their Warm Wishes campaign. Aside from that they also had us try a new donut holiday flavor which you will see in a bit.

They'll be sprucing up the stores as well because they want you to feel right at HOME. Those red and white Christmas decors would fit in here nicely and I'm sure you're gonna have that fuzzy feeling while having their cup of joes.

The three new flavors are Merry Berry Choco Chill (my personal favorite), Merry Berry Hot Chocolate (which is equally good), Rudolph Red Velvet Latte (if you want a stronger brew) plus their regulars which they serve all year!

You won't be leaving the store hungry either because for lunch they've got humongous BAGELS which I find so good and filling too. 

Plus don't leave without having their Christmas Log Donut. I already felt full after eating one for my cheat day. It was a bit sweet, had tangy strawberry streaks and a tougher donut dough than usual. One piece would be enough for one person, but really who's stopping you!

They have this in Uptown Mall in BGC but there's some other branch in SM North I think so you should find them there too! :)

10 Awesome Years of Gonuts Donuts!

Gonuts Donuts is truly the best locally founded donut company in the Philippines. It was established in 2003. The Trillana - De Ocampo families wanted to franchise Krispy Kreme initially but was denied. They decided to put up their own after 18 months of planning and now it's a huge success. Since then, they have already put up a lot of stores here and abroad and thousands upon thousands were sold more on these joints to the amusement of now their - competitor. This year sparks their 10th Anniversary and they celebrated in a simple way after Typhoon Yolanda hit the country. Simple, yet very irresistible... much like their donuts which was a welcome sight for sweet tooths like me!

10 Years? How about 10 NEW DONUT FLAVORS! 

Here's Green Tea and Smores

I love the Strawberry Sunshine, the White Chocolate Glaze Lite runs a close second.

They don't come as sinful as this. Peanut Butter Caramel and Hazelnut Crunch.

Lemon Lite and Sea Salt Caramel Mmmmm....

Last but definitely not the least... the Chocolate Mint and Mocha Lite Donuts... it just makes your mouth water... arghhh..

But wait, they didn't stop there. There were a few more bottles on the table that looked quite nice. I especially love the Mango... but trust me, everything's really all good!

This one's sweet and full of that Mango goodness!

The Orange Juice is a little tangy, sweet and really refreshing. Love this!

The Iced Tea was good, but if we're to choose something... the Mango is the clear winner. Now, you've got more things to pair up with your favorite donut... and it's all on the same store. Awesome idea than going for colas right?
