Red Fox : Truly Redefining Innovation

Red Fox has been known nationwide as the premier affordable brand for desktops, laptops, computing machines and accessories. We took an afternoon to take a look at some of the best items they have in store and check out what they have been doing these past few months. A few products have also been released in the Philippine market. It's one of the things I was excited about whilst visiting their Innovative Technologies Center in Quezon City.

Since the 80's Red Fox has continually made efforts to put out its brand and technologies in very affordable rates. With their corporation concentrating in the early years in manufacturing and research for boards - computer peripherals they made necessary production systems that have high standards but made each of the quite cost effective. Just take a look at the AMD Main Board lines they have and you'll know why they've been number one since early 2000. Do you remember the Red Fox Vengeance? It was one of the noted gaming PC's in the past that was successfully launched by the same company. Computer shops were obsessed with these and the AMD processors that it came with. Graphics wise, it performed quite well with others in the mainstream market. They won numerous awards and garnered high acclaim here and abroad.

AMD Processors

They gave us a short peek at the new products from AMD. The best retail gaming and entertainment processor impressed us with better memory switching technologies and its utilization of discreet GPU. It's something never even thought of being used in the past but now they will be releasing more models that can make this work through AMD Dual Graphics technology. GPU is utilized so that the processing speed would be pumped up to almost 120%. Just think about overclocking... ooh that and your gaming addiction, this is bliss!

If you are ready for a high-definition gaming experience, do it with AMD Radeon HD 6870 graphics processors.

By the first week of October they will launch 6 and 8 core processors. That's something to look forward to in their AMD Client PC platforms. AMD FX is the only 8 core CPU processor available in the Philippines. It is the only one that can support the directx11 enabled graphics card. AMD btw is also being used by its competitors but they just don't disclose it on manufactured laptops and desktops. If the GPU is significantly good for them to even use it, you should get the obvious. So the next time you think about boards and processors to use, make sure it's AMD.

Gigabyte Motherboards, 8 phase power VRM design with Dual Power Switching Technology. Tech geeks just drooled on this one. I'd like to test this out soon.

Watch out on this site reviews about the WIZPad and other Red Fox Devices. This is going to be good. We're gonna pit this together with the performance of the IPAD2 and tell you how it fares.

Meeting Mishaps

Today I went to a special meeting of minds. I met some of my masters in photography and checked a lot of their work. I have to learn and emulate some of their techniques. I try to at least see if we can get some of our businesses to grow since they probably have more connections than me. If you think about it, I will need another day with them to close some deals. I literally had no time for this hobby but I did my best to attend these big ones since almost everyone in the fashion industry is there. That's the ideal place to meet people. One of my biggest mistakes though is not getting enough business cards. I wish I had 123 print make them for me so I wouldn't be problematic. In times like these you need a lot! The office just makes generic ones that are not related to what I'm actually doing. It'll be funny how they'll find out that a geek would actually be their photographer. They'll probably say "It's a weird day!" and I wouldn't tell them otherwise.

I met the best photographers, fashion icons, designers, stylists and make-up artists. I love how the day ended because I definitely learned a lot. I got a couple of people in my phone book and we're doing bigger projects in the next few months. My regret though is not having that much cards to give out to prospective clients. I learned the hard way. It could have been more money for my business. I will have to rethink my strategy next time. Here's hoping for more transactions with the greatest people in the industry! The Card Incident

It was a warm Saturday afternoon when I went to the mall with my Mom and Dad. I do food reviews for some of the best restaurants in the country and I must say I get a lot of my friends to see them. I recommend the good ones and ask to try the not so bad ones. I have more readers in Manila than outside the country and I get some surprises every now and then. I went to one restaurant on the top floor of EASTWOOD MALL. These posh establishments are what mostly get rave reviews on my site and I was surprised when we sat in the Manager literally knew me. I haven't met him nor have I ever stepped into the restaurant before so I was really surprised. I think he got to see my photos in the site but that and the DSLR camera probably was a giveaway that I review restaurants. I tried to keep a low profile but on some instances they kind of talk to you even if you don't want to. He asked for my business card but I didn't have one that time. I only have one for work but not for my site. I know I need to get custom business cards so I would be able to identify my self every time I get to review institutions like that. They had a cooking school together with the restaurant and I am impressed about how it looked like. Though the next time I get there, I know I have to identify my self after wards. It was kind of awkward I did not have any cards with me that time. I looked very unprofessional. I want to go back there one day and present my self differently I guess. It's a hard day but I think I'll try and solve it one at a time. The card would have solved it all.

I Should Have Brought Cards!

Have you ever felt something might go wrong in a business meeting? When was it? Have you finished presenting projects and sometimes think they are not enough even for your standards? Were you unsure about some deals you made in the past? You wish you could follow up with supporting documents but it's too late. I was not able to leave contact numbers because I ran out of business cards too. All that just happened yesterday. This was one of the most humiliating days in my entire life.

Remember a few articles ago when I wanted to get a little serious about my photography? I tried breaking a deal yesterday in covering an event for a former boss. He saw my work on a social networking site and got impressed enough to ask for it. If only I had some cheap business cards then I could have managed things smoothly when we parted ways. Of all the things I should forget, it was that minute detail that made it all miserable for me. If I got one, then I would not have looked unprofessional to clients. They might think I am not ready to go main stream. I just hope I did not lose this opportunity; or worse made an impression that I could not do it at all. I don't know how important business cards were until yesterday. I am willing to make amends with myself now. Where do you think I should get one? Do you have any suggestions?!

An OMG Moment

I was with my Mom and Dad in a local restaurant in QC. It was a quick break in the afternoon which was meant to be just a simple meal to satisfy my craving and fix for PANSIT MALABON which is a local noodle dish. Little QUIAPO which was founded in 1947 (a posh restaurant) was there; so we went in after a submitting a couple of papers in City Hall. I was surprised because right after we opened the door, my former co workers and bosses from Social Security System were all there. To make matters worse, I was in rags that time; sporting a worn out shirt and expensive slippers I usually wear when I do not want to dress up. They on the other hand were all clad in business wear, coat and tie, the whole nine yards. I almost backed out of the store but they already saw me. So I got my Mom and Dad to follow suit. I said hi and they said hello. They do remember me still; but I had some really funny things in the back of my mind about how I looked like. We were exchanging stories from across tables because we were all waiting for the food to be served. When they did and it came to a point they were asking me where I was and who I worked for, they asked me for a business card. I was shocked and tried to find one on my wallet, when it suddenly hit me... that in the 6 years I have worked for the corporation; I never had a single business card ha-ha! I should have commissioned the other department to make me one or get business cards online instead. It would take me a couple of months if I wait for people in the office so I think I am better off with ordering one on the web. That was a really humiliating situation so I suddenly just made an alibi that I forgot my cards in my laptop bag. It was good because they took it, brushed it off and proceeded eating in the restaurant. That was a complete OMG moment for me and I was just lucky I got away with it. I hurriedly ate, said goodbye and went home to find a place to order cards after wards. I needed one obviously and it is quite appropriate to have it too. Have you had one of those OMG moments too?! Merry Christmas Dear Readers!

Hi there! This is KUMAGCOW greeting each and everyone of you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Maybe you have been wondering what this post is all about and what I have been doing the past few weeks. I got to shoot with the NOCTURNALS again this weekend and boy the AVANT GARDE wedding shoot was a blast!

We got the beautiful Ms. Jinri Park again for this shoot because of her spectacular performance last time in the urbanista shoot. This particular shoot was non conventional. I'll try and show you pictures once I have finished post processing them. I just kinda not have time to do that because I have tons of work left in the office and I needed to double check a couple of numbers off of our report. Imagine an excel file with around 30 tabs and full of numbers on it, that is what I was trying to decipher first before I begin the post processing for this shoot.
