CHIE FILOMENO is the Face of SkeenCare

Looks like Chie Filomeno is on a roll as she had us excited during the Glam and Glow event of SkeenCare, a new brand of personal care essentials founded in 2019.

Their story is so inspiring. Imagine starting with a 10K capital, venturing into reselling, then later having their own brand appearing in various online platforms. With the arrival of their premier peeling lotion, it catapulted them in the forefront of the beauty and wellness industry.

Aside from their peeling lotion, their current line of products include Sunscreen Creams, Lotions, (NEW!) Rejuvenating and Maintenance Sets, Healing Balms, Soaps, Deo Mist, Feminine Wash and Underarm Cream.

Also at the event was SkeenCare COO Lei Langamin and their CEO Nars Cabellero. Ms. Nars was a bit emotional and said "I know I'm not the perfect CEO, I do have shortcomings. Know that I come from a place of making sure you our partners, and the company would benefit both ways. This is al; for our success. This is me out of my comfort zone. I don't usually talk in front of audiences. You are the reason why I got my Dad to Japan, he mentioned how thankful he was of just being there. You are the reason why we are achieving our dreams, which is why we pushed for this anniversary celebration to happen. This is one way to thank you all!"

Behind the tears, the excitement of having a new endorser, this once small business is now flourishing. They also have new products launched which would make sure you get to maintain the good things you've done to your skin. Showcasing Hard Work and Brilliance: The Brilliant Awards 2023

Just got off the Brilliant Awards 2023, The Brightest of All Time. Brilliant Skin Inc. holds events like these annually to honor the regional leaders, franchisees, distributors of their cosmetic products in the country. Clad in their most gorgeous white and pink shimmering outfits, they were all welcomed at the Newport Performing Arts Theatre in Pasay City by Brilliant Skin CEO Glenda Dela Cruz.

Ms. Glenda says "This night is all for you, I know there are a lot of people who came from the Cordilleras, Region 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, Bangsamoro and NCR. You are the ones who are really brilliant."

She adds "We have been able to weather through the challenges of 2023. We had fears, uncertainty, and I thought everything would be gone. I learned to be grateful, and to tell you honestly, I'm a better version now. My life is an open book now, I let go of people that I loved and accepted it even though it was difficult. We made waves when we started our Pinakamakinang events in Araneta, and now we are in Malaysia with our TikTok shop, and with our online platform in countries like Dubai (UAE), Malaysia, and soon in Singapore. We did this because of you. We continue to work hard, and I hope this goes the same with all of you. This proves that no matter what they say, you stand behind me all the way. I won't be wasting your trust. I thank God for saving me so many times, and he has done so much for me."

 

After personally thanking the "Brilliants", a term she coined for those who support her, she began showing her gratitude with the tons of celebrity performers she prepared for them. With the likes of Mariel Padilla and Luis Manzano as their hosts, model and actor Daniel Matsunaga, song and dance numbers from international stars 4th Impact and talk of the town Andrea Brillantes, everyone was just so glad to be in the midst of their endorsers who went there to just perform for them. Add to that singers JK Labajo, Kyle Echarri, Jason Dy, good looking actor Paulo Avelino, our golden boy Alden Richards, rock phenom Kean Cipriano and KZ Tandingan brought the house down as each of the winners were announced on stage. It was really nice to see how the crowd reacted when people from their own region was called, and how proud they really are.

Ms. Glenda was so thankful that despite her recent health challenges, they were all able to gather in one place so she could personally spend time with them, to take photos, talk and thank them for the hard work they put in for Brilliant Skin.

Movie Producer Rina Navarro's Kids (3 and 8) Contracted COVI-19

The Producer of epic film Bonifacio: Ang Unang Pangulo's and Unfiltered Skin Care CEO Rina Navarro just recently posted that her kids Rain (8 years old) and Theo (3 years old), has tested positive for COVID-19. 

Her kids are currently at their residence and showed no symptoms (asymptomatic). They are now doing tests while self isolating. They are on their way to recovery. Though the kids have not left their home, they have traced their driver who have gone home his family on a weekend, who then infected their kasambahay, who got the kids at risk. The family is wishing for everyone's recovery and hope others who have people who work from outside do extreme caution because getting this virus is no joke. She also would like to send prayers for kids who are undergoing the same fate as hers and follow protocols set by IATF and the government.

Ms. Rina adds “I'd like to ask people to PLEASE stay at home. Try as much to not allow visitors at home because we are all vulnerable. It's not just the old folks, but even kids and babies are affected. Remember, getting vaccinated doesn’t mean you are totally immune or won’t be able to carry the virus. Please wear your face masks and face shield especially if you have kids and elders at home.”

So if you're still hesitating to get vaccinated, please see this happens to kids too. They need to be safe, so do the right thing!

Prince and Jenzel Endorses "The Perfect Beauty"

Just left the event this afternoon at The Perfect Beauty Clinic in Pasig City. It's an aesthetic and derma centre that is owned and managed by doctors. They also do the procedures so you get to see and feel how professionals do it. They are located at the Mission Medical Plaza, Room 404, 4th Floor, Km.17 Ortigas Ave, Pasig, 1609 Metro Manila. Today we witnessed the clinic's first salvo of endorsers which consequently includes hunky kapuso star Prince Clemente and the beautiful Jenzel Angeles. The two are currently doing the Philippine adaptation of Descendants of the Sun and have in fact posted on their social media channels some excerpts of the series. Prince is part of the Alpha Team while Jenzel is at the medics. Their skin and body all look good, but this time, they'll get a little help with this new clinic.

Of Antioxidants and Great Skin

I’ve been called names, bullied when I was a kid because of my skin color. You see, I go out a lot and play outdoors. It’s like second nature for me, where I could have fun with friends or sometimes, alone - and I don’t really mind.

My skin has had mishaps here and there, a slight bout with burns, the teenage laden with acne, but I always go back to the basics to heal them all with the nicest moisturizer I could ever find, drinking water inside and out. I envy people who glow even during daytime, and I think it’s the L-Glutathione content that makes this happen. Now don’t get me wrong, I love how brown I look sometimes but I feel a little more good looking if my Spanish blood shows a bit when I’m a bit lighter skinned. It’s a great day today. Been busy covering events left and right and honestly I didn’t know how celebrities do it. I’m a man, I don’t wear make up, I don’t put a lot of things in my face because I want to maintain it clean and simple. My schedule is packed, I go from morning events til evening movie premiers. One Pampering Day at Ellen's Aesthetic Centre

It's been a while since I had a facial as I have issues of other people touching my skin. Believe it or not, this is my second facial... in my entire life. I usually just do it myself, at home and I think I do a pretty good job at it. Yes I am that vain. Thing is, I might not be completely getting it cleaned so I did the next best thing by visiting Ellen's in Timog Avenue corner Tomas Morato in Quezon City. Ms. Ellen was there and she got me immediately going up her skin center, laid on the beds and be made up by one of their experts. I was in for a nice facial. (Warning: Selfie Heavy!)

I always take care of my face and try to maintain a less oily T Zone since that's my problem. Gone were the times of puberty and I'm so glad I got over that phase of acne because of hormones during high school (which happened a few years ago). I also learned the art of taking care of my skin early on. How? One rule, moisturize, moisturize and moisturize. First thing they did there is the same thing, they put moisturizers first.

Then a short facial massage ensued distributing that same moisturizer on my face. It felt good already.

Then they got this steam machine directed to my face prolly to open my pores. That's when they started to take everything off my skin, I think they pricked small ones and got white heads excavated like EDSA. The lady assigned to me said I didn't have much on my face  (prolly because I do things like these at home) but I felt she did take a lot of it out of my skin. She also noticed that I might have to get some small warts coiterized but I begged off because they say the marks might last a week and I didn't wanna bear it. They looked at my skin closely and even gave me a mirror so they could point at it (I was clueless).

After the cleaning, I got moisturized again and they prepared to close my pores with something cold in the end.

They whipped out a Mint Tea mask on my skin which felt like small stings on those parts which they opened up on my face earlier. It felt cold too so it closed my pores after the procedure.

Then I spent about 10-15 minutes and almost dozed off with that mask on my face. She continued to put on dabs of cream and gently massaged it in again which made my face glow after that facial. It felt so clean afterwards and I was so glad Ms. Ellen Lising got me taken cared of in her facial care center. The attendants were surely trained and meticulous in what they were doing and must say I was totally satisfied with the work they've done on my face. I washed it before I slept and woke up super refreshed after having them do that. Totally worth the visit!

Flawless: Launches Flaunt, New Website and Social Media Channels

When I hear Flawless, I usually shy away from it because believe it or not I don't go to facial centers and I find it too girly to do so. Men I think for most of the time are low maintenance. Even though it doesn't show that I need one, it's haunting me for the longest time that I even consider that good looking ones like me kinda need help too (hehe). Finding reputable ones like Flawless for my first consultation is nothing but the right choice. The doctor was IN!

She took time explaining the common skin problems and tried to analyze what our skin conditions were too. We were probably like smorgasbord,  but the good thing is they give us the necessary advise on how to actually choose the product that would be the perfect match for our skin. I had so many questions but Doctor Cu gamely answered them for me. I had normal T zone problems just like any guy, but I don't use sunblock. She said I should always make it a habit to do so because unprotected skin would just age fast and get damaged by UV rays. I know it was something I should do but I didn't pay attention to it that much because people have been noticing I look young for my age. But I think she's got a point that if I take care of it, I would have looked better than what I do now. Thanks for that Doc! =)

Saying this is their NEW VOICE! They extended their reach and veer away from the usual old style advertising. Now it's more personal and they find more gain interacting with their customers real time.

To launch their new E-Magazine, they got Enzo Pineda that evening too! Gorgeous and looking dapper in his outfit he took time to say hi to everyone that evening. Girls, Ladies, secure your panties.
