Aside from spending time on my chest, I am trying to regain what I have lost in the size of my biceps because they have not been worked on for the longest time. They are quite big already and I was just trying to maintain them. But because I have not worked out in a couple of days of course it probably shrinked a little. I just want to get back into shape. Maybe if there would be some sort of a diet in between then it would be better right?! Sweet potatoes are on my list because some swore about its great carbo loading effect without that much fat. I hope it becomes regular this week. I really need to workout more and probably get my knee fixed to. I am feeling a little pain when I stretch it out.
Back to the Gym... After 10 days of not working out!
Tuesday, March 16, 2010
After a week and a half of not working out in the gym, here I go again trying my luck to get back in the mood for pumping iron. I know I haven't been the world's greatest dieter and I am kinda getting sick already from the meals I haven't been eating but then again I would love to go back and walk the talk. I have proven myself time and time again that I need this. Why am I getting lazy all of a sudden?! Well not that lazy because the reason I am getting a little not acquainted with the habit lately is because I have so much work to finish. Mind you I am making huge report that consists of almost 2o tabs of excel sheet with numbers and graphs on it. Imagine me flooding myself with math. That is just so sick of me! LOL

Easy and Breezy Summer Eye Wear
Monday, March 15, 2010
It's summer time once again and the vacation spots are being filled up quickly with patrons from Manila and elsewhere in the world. I am not surprised because we have fabulous white sand beaches and the Filipino hospitality that we are known for. I am worried though because of the harsh sun that can damage eyesight and promote aging. I would not want to have that on any day and so does millions of consumers in the US and the Philippines. This is where ZENNI comes in!
Most people would probably recall ZENNI here in the Philippines as the manufacturer of great eye wear featured in CNN. For those who frequently shop on line it is the sole place you could get affordable eyeglasses at a fraction of the cost. I know there are skeptics among you that probably would ask; how do they do it?! It is simple. They get your prescription/fashionable eyeglasses out to the market without middlemen. This would definitely get you hundreds of dollars worth of savings. I know of some designer brands that cost around 200 to 300 dollars a pair and that only covers the frame. ZENNI offers some of their spectacles for only 8 dollars... would you believe that?!
I know... it is quite remarkable that in this day and age there are some decent and honest business owners like ZENNI that put customers first before thinking of profits. There are already a lot of people talking about them too so make sure you read all about it here for ERICK HAMMER'S review. The benefits are endless; so if you need prescription glasses that are affordable and trendy at the same time... you know who to go to because it is just ZENNI!

Def Hip Hop

I just arrived from a photo shoot again this weekend. I went out with the NOCTURNALS and boy was I tired. I came from Tagaytay the day before and went on a drinking spree. Obviously I had no sleep and today I have work CONGRATULATIONS! Hahahahah!
I was scanning emails and work related documents a while ago but was very badly bothered half my eye shutting down. It was like I was half asleep. I didn't know you could do that until today LOL. Anyway, I still did my work regardless of the things that transpired yesterday. Reminded the guys about fitting because we have some new jackets made. I contacted my friend to do that.
He got me some clothes for the dancers we had for the photo shoot. Although half was only used it was all okay. I just hope those shots turn out well because we all need to impress the designer too. He's a good guy but I think he is meticulous and I would like him to take a look at the photos after this one. He is planning to make a collection just for this shoot alone. I hope we get to deliver Monday next week because that is the deadline. Def HIP HOP was accomplished and I only got about 2 models.
The Video Killed The Radio Star!
Saturday, March 13, 2010
I am an aspiring film maker. With software getting easier to understand and use these past few years, I am not surprised that even I can make slide shows with my own shots.
I have impressed a few of my friends and co photographers and it looks like I am going this path very soon. I want to also make films of my own and it would probably take me around a few years to learn the craft. Releasing it however would probably be a cinch since film licensing is going to be easy with MDISTRIBUTE.COM. There are already hundreds of people benefiting from their services and if I release my first documentary I plan to use their site. There are also a lot of mobile carriers and people who purchase these videos from them so it is surely going to be a huge hit. I also saw that you would not have any problem about royalties since they take care of all the details. They categorize your film also so people can easily find it. Easy to use search options are available anytime of the day. I would love to try this out soon. I mean who would not like to do that and earn at the same time?!Disclosure Policy
Manny Pacquiao VS Joshua Clottey
Friday, March 12, 2010
It is this coming Sunday and Filipinos have been awaiting this fight of the pound for pound champion. March 13 is surely going to be a public holiday in the Philippines and crime rate will again be at an all time low. It is a phenomenon that this actually happens because apparently even the hooligans are watching the fight. It is good though at least law enforcers can take a break.
People are also eagerly awaiting the next one since after this, he is surely going to gun for a Mayweather fight but that guy has been eluding this fight and throwing lame excuses so it would not happen. He wants Pacquiao to undergo blood tests and drug tests a day before the fight which would probably get him out of condition. He has been tested lately just to prove a point and tested negative, I wonder how that crazed man get these ideas LOL!
He will eat his words soon I'm sure and unless he gets knocked out and kept quiet by Pacquiao he won't stop throwing words at him. Pretty lame for an undefeated fighter to go this low. I wish Manny Pacquiao the best and thanks for making the whole country proud of you!

Victims of Bankrupt Companies
There have been reports that local business owners have been fooled by unscrupulous individuals in Manila to purchase kiosks and franchises from bankrupt corporations. This week alone I have seen two women who were duped into selling their own land so that they could invest their hard earned money into a non existed defunct company. There are no current centralized records listed in city hall or the SEC to prove they are otherwise. Cases of large scale ESTAFA were only filed and this is unfortunately; an offense where they can post bail. I wish the business organizations file complaints in city hall so that they would have better systems put up for potential investors. If they manage to at least have something like the california bankruptcy records in the Philippines; then we would not have this problem. On line search would take a few seconds to check a listed corporation and it would deter these occurrences if the government really pushes for great reforms in the system.
I once also planned to invest in the food business which would go this route and thankfully I have done my research first. Seeing these cases become rampant in the past few months really got me worried and think about investing elsewhere than Manila. I have also listened to the victim's testimonials when they went to the police and these smooth talkers unfortunately get out of jail after a few days. I am so worried and appalled that the Philippine government does not take steps into modernizing or acquiring help of the experts who can make these records publicly accessible and properly updated. Without the initiatives of a great leader we might be just on the verge of looking at our bleak future. I hope real change happens immediately because there would be hundreds or even more that would suffer from these unscrupulous individuals. I would never want to be a victim and I reserve the right to know! Why don't they just tell me if they are bankrupt so I would not have to engage business with them anymore?!
Sad Day
It is quite a sad day for me. I just got home from a wake of a new friend I just met. I remember the time we drank a couple of rounds of beer. The time that he asked me for advice. The times when we laughed a couple of times because of stories from our common friends. I could have gained another friend but I was shock to hear he died 2 days ago. He was hit by a blunt object on his head while on a drinking spree outside their house in Valenzuela. I wonder what could have been if we talked more since then. Well he already passed on. I hope the perpetrators would be caught by police and suffer the consequences of their actions.
I pray that his soul rest in peace. I hope all our other friends and his family find comfort in the Lord. With all the things that happened to them and the sufferings he had encountered when he lived alone, I hope that would all go away and be replenished by everything good GOD has to offer. I am not much of a prayerful person but for him I would. He deserves it and I wish his siblings be safe. Blessed be.
Know Your Rights!
I am really not new to forums. I have actually administered 4 forums in my lifetime and they go about subjects for school, sports, general information and technology. I have actually toned down in the recent years. I got as high as 6 communities which on some instances already battled with my time with work. I had to prioritize that but I never got them removed from my system because I like the feeling of belonging to a community. I specifically like the consumer forum since I get to communicate with the users directly. It is the ability to help people who purchase their everyday stuff that gets me to visit their forum. One example of this is the Consumer Court Forum (India). Even if I am a starting member in this community I know how it already works. Have you ever bought stuff from businesses that you later find out to be defective?! How about properties that promise SHANGRILA but you end up in the middle of nowhere?! Those are the things we should avoid when buying products or services and I would not be surprised if one day we become victims of unscrupulous individuals.
What is this forum all about?! Why protect the consumers?! It is all about users helping other users on their dilemma. Protecting the consumers from large corporations and entities is one way of helping each other. If you are alone and battle it out with companies that are funded with millions of dollars you would never win any court case. If you voice out your opinions on these free boards from the Consumer Court Forum and if there are people around the world who have the same problem with the product and service that you got, then you are going to be able to communicate together your concern. It is a fact that there is unspoken power in numbers. This is new media and there are thousands of people who view these pages every day. I know how the metrics run in communities like them and it is very powerful to get your point across. Enjoining other users to report problems so the companies could act on it is one way of also helping yourself. Make sure you join this forum and protect your rights and your family.
A New Office Mate
A new office mate. Yeah it is one of those days where you welcome another stranger in town. But since he is in my team I am going to look for quality. I hope he works as good as what we expect him to do. There are really not that much choices out there so if you think about it I had to choose between undergraduates, people who had previous call center experience but have no idea what a forum is and what a moderator does. I also had interviewed people who answer the canny response "I don't know what to do but I am willing to learn" script. We exhausted efforts to get one for the post we have but it seems some of the applicants do not even appear for the interview. I tried to even call some of them but they either 1.) begged off or 2.) put up an attitude or 3.) didn't bother to answer. It looks like one of the things why some Filipinos are jobless nowadays. They are simply unwilling to work and also lack qualification for the position.
I don't know what to think anymore. It's either these people are poor and cannot get proper education or maybe the standard of education in the country is getting poorer. I hope the government steps up the educational system and do not pass anyone who could not understand and write English. It's too lame to have an excuse when it is literally already our second language. I probably should even laugh at the fact when one of the applicants was an English professor and her grammar was even worse as the kids I taught for free in the streets. What is happening to the quality of our workforce!
Shocking News
Thursday, March 11, 2010
I just received a text message from my friend a few minutes ago. It was really shocking news. I finished my shift last Friday and I was dead tired. Stress kind of got the best of my and so I was a little off that day. I hurriedly ask one of my closest friends from college to accompany me to a local bar for a couple of rounds of beer. He brought along some of his friends too and I did not really mind at all even if I pay for them. I think I just got caught with the notion of knowing more friends outside of my circle and it was okay since I wanted a lot of people to talk to. It makes me want to know more friends because I have sometimes grown to get tired if I talk to the same old people from work. There was one guy whose name is AYA who was briefly introduced to me before we started to drink. He was one of those guys who rode on the backs of elephants and bragged about everything in this world even if he had nothing. I had nothing against that but all I needed last is someone to argue with when I am stressed. It is not conducive to the environment I want to have at that time. So I did not really talk to him that much until everyone else was drunk. I had a hunch he was not good but then he opened up a conversation that I got hooked to. It was about his family problems and I am a little off target when it comes to that. I am one of those guys who pretend to know it all. I give very sound, good advices but I do not usually follow them myself. I had a habit of doing that so I said my piece on his story. It was something very private and he was often going out of their home because of that. He went to different houses and stayed with strangers just to make ends meet because he did not want to see his abusive family either. The beer dried up and the people went home one by one. I already was there a couple of hours and saw the need for me to go home too but he asked me to stay so he could tell me more sob stories. I did not want to hear them anymore because it is making me more stressed too. Anyway we parted ways and I went home. I slept the whole day after wards. The text message I received this morning was shocking; because my friend just told me he died just a couple of hours ago. He told me that AYA stayed in one man's house in Manila. This is another stranger. He unfortunately got raped and killed. I was so appalled at what happened. They said that the man he stayed with had previous records of violence and jail time. I really pity AYA and of what happened to him. Nobody knew he was going through those things even his own family. I am planning to go with my friend on his funeral on Saturday. I wish there was a way the government would have made a state sex offender list so people would be safe from predators like that guy. This is really a serious and the last thing I want to know is someone close to me goes through the same agony that he did. Poor guy! I want to send my condolences to their family. I hope in some way they realize that they should never make their kids grow up in a very abusive environment. My thanks go to AYA and I hope he does rest in peace.
