After her surprising transfer to MQuest Artist Agency and official signing a couple days ago, your favorite Andrea Brillantes is now your 2026 Tanduay Calendar Girl. She is 22, the youngest to have been able to get this spot and at the event... she represented herself with Fire and Flowers. She's feisty, tough, experienced in life but still gorgeous, delicate and beautiful as a flower. She wore 2 outfits during this bit where at first she performed a burlesque number with the premier dance group G-Force ala Dita Von Teese (boning and corseted).
In a way, Andrea represents a generation where one is exuding confidence, a way to have been able to get out of her shell and become the woman she always wanted to be.
Her second outfit was even more daring as it gripped much of her body in lace, more revealing sections and red colors. There is also prestige that comes with being a Tanduay calendar girl as numerous stars have donned this role like Heart Evangelista, Jessy Mendiola, beauty queen Kylie Verzosa, Bea Alonzo, Ellen Adarna, Ivana Alawi, Julia Barretto, and last year's Kim Chiu.
Executives from Tanduay certainly chose her for her qualities, her popularity and looks. But Andrea is even more than that, and I think that makes her a perfect fit for Tanduay's calendar. Congratulations Blythe!
Seeing her up close would have made the case of being number 1 in the Most Beautiful Face of the Year a no contest. It's the annual voting list run by TC Candler, a creator based in LA. There have been 7 Filipinas in that list this year but the Top 1 post went to ANDREA BRILLANTES, one of Star Magic's brightest stars.
She's also been given the SPOTLIGHT by the artist agency last week and we got to talk to her a bit about getting the recognition and asked a few more things about what she plans to do this 2025. She's had a pretty lucky 2024, and for sure, ABS-CBN has huge plans for her especially after getting in this really popular list.
We talked to Andrea at the SPOTLIGHT set by Star Magic. They really prepared a lot for this event and interview (mainly to recognize their accomplishments of course!).
Andrea says "I was quite surprised about the video, I didn't know you were going to do that. I tied my hair today because of that list. Last year I was also there but I didn't get the top spot, but this year when I learned about it, I said hala, I'm top 1? I asked my Mom immediately and told her she's got a daughter that made the top spot. But really, I'm so thankful. It's the bragging rights that I could tell my friends now, really happy about it but I couldn't have that in my head, I couldn't wrap my head around it."
She adds "Right now I'm enjoying my free time because I don't have a show, but I've got a ton of things to do especially with business. I set my priorities, but try to also enjoy my youth. I also help with my community, my church, and try to learn a new sport like frisbee. I try to be intentional with my time, try to find some for everything. It's quite precious for me because I have to have energy for it everyday. I try to travel, my schedule is crazy, but want to have a work life balance. I want to manage my time because you can't disappear when you're in this business. I think it's important to have sleep, above anything, no matter how beautiful you are. Now I'm adding veggies to my diet, try to take care of that and what I eat. I also invest in skincare, do makeup, I've been doing it since I was 16 and I think I've got a pretty good grasp of it. If I'm tired, I just do my routine. I try to fit it in one hour or 30 minutes just to take care of myself."
"You don't just have to be pretty outside, I try my best to be good, my attitude. I think making your heart pretty is better."
With all the things she's been through, she knows herself even more. She plans to do more shows, programs, movies, even other things outside showbiz. It's her experience that makes her an even better person, and we saw that during the SPOTLIGHT event with her.
Your lovely Blythe showed up for media and corporate executives as she gets additional years as the face of Dear Face Beauty Melon Milk.
It was held at Lore Manila, served food by Chef Tatung. The feeling was
so festive as the high selling Beauty Milk Melon Milk was laid on
installations depicting the Hamptons. During the event, it was announced
that she will be continuing her contract for an additional 2 years,
which we think is well deserved. Andrea has been really one hardworking
woman in terms of promoting the drink on her socials, she also takes the
time to talk about it with friends, family, her fans, and followers.
Founder
and CEO Ms. Jonah says "We wanted to renew our partnership with Andrea
even if our initial contract hasn't ended because we have a genuine bond
with Blythe. She is also an effective endorser, one that converts
sales. She's the real thing."
No wonder she's been renewed for 2
more years. An effective endorser would really take the brand to places
they've never been. She's lovely, and loves the product sincerely even

Boracay was suddenly even more brilliant as Star Magic artists Andrea Brillantes and Kyle Echarri went ashore for Brilliant Skin Essentials summer event. This was hosted by the brand's queen and CEO Ms. Glenda dela Cruz. The event last May 19th also was the perfect time to introduce their newest brand ambassador and some new products which is part of the new line.
Ms. Glenda says "We call this a Brilliant Summer, and honestly, I am overwhelmed by the amount of support we are getting. Thank you all for making this possible. Even if they say that the hot season is over, we're still celebrating summer!"
She's continued to give really great incentives to brand partners and
this time, she flew over 300 franchise owners, distributors and guests.
They also had Andrea Brillantes and Kyle Echarri entertaining them all
in the evening with song and dance numbers. Andrea mentioned "Brilliant
Skin has been something I use since I was 15, and I know it's
effective." Kyle added "Being with this brand makes me feel like I'm
with family, which I'm sure even you would attest to! (and points to the
crowd)."
Then they launched their new products particularly
Brilliant Sun Professional Sunscreen, Hello Melo Drinks (a drink with
collagen and vitamins), and Hyper Hydra Pressed Powder (which is
available in different shades).
Andrea was also renewed as their
endorser this year. She looked so happy during the event. Later in the
evening, they raffled off prizes like Handheld Fans, TCL 55 Inch TV's,

I first saw Dear Face CEO Jonah Sison-Ramos on TikTok actually selling her products months ago. I had the impression of a hard working woman, no doubt, because she was personally selling the products, which says a lot about her as an entrepreneur.
She's successful, and with the way her products have reached people have been really surprising. She heard Senior High star Andrea Brillantes was already consuming a lot even before she got this endorsement. Just got off the Brilliant Awards 2023, The Brightest of All Time. Brilliant Skin Inc. holds events like these annually to honor the regional leaders, franchisees, distributors of their cosmetic products in the country. Clad in their most gorgeous white and pink shimmering outfits, they were all welcomed at the Newport Performing Arts Theatre in Pasay City by Brilliant Skin CEO Glenda Dela Cruz.
Ms. Glenda says "This night is all for you, I know there are a lot of people who came from the Cordilleras, Region 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, Bangsamoro and NCR. You are the ones who are really brilliant."
She adds "We have been able to weather through the challenges of 2023. We had fears, uncertainty, and I thought everything would be gone. I learned to be grateful, and to tell you honestly, I'm a better version now. My life is an open book now, I let go of people that I loved and accepted it even though it was difficult. We made waves when we started our Pinakamakinang events in Araneta, and now we are in Malaysia with our TikTok shop, and with our online platform in countries like Dubai (UAE), Malaysia, and soon in Singapore. We did this because of you. We continue to work hard, and I hope this goes the same with all of you. This proves that no matter what they say, you stand behind me all the way. I won't be wasting your trust. I thank God for saving me so many times, and he has done so much for me."
After personally thanking the "Brilliants", a term she coined for those who support her, she began showing her gratitude with the tons of celebrity performers she prepared for them. With the likes of Mariel Padilla and Luis Manzano as their hosts, model and actor Daniel Matsunaga, song and dance numbers from international stars 4th Impact and talk of the town Andrea Brillantes, everyone was just so glad to be in the midst of their endorsers who went there to just perform for them. Add to that singers JK Labajo, Kyle Echarri, Jason Dy, good looking actor Paulo Avelino, our golden boy Alden Richards, rock phenom Kean Cipriano and KZ Tandingan brought the house down as each of the winners were announced on stage. It was really nice to see how the crowd reacted when people from their own region was called, and how proud they really are.
Ms. Glenda was so thankful that despite her recent health challenges, they were all able to gather in one place so she could personally spend time with them, to take photos, talk and thank them for the hard work they put in for Brilliant Skin.

Congratulations to the men and women who received awards and those who also won the generous raffle that was done for them that evening. You deserve the accolades and incentives you got from Brilliant Skin Inc. and I hope you start to do start paying it forward just like what Ms. Glenda is doing for you!
Her name is Ms. Glenda, the CEO, girl boss and head honcho of popular beauty brand Brilliant Skin Essentials.
Albeit my first time seeing her in the flesh, I've heard of her handy work in social media and has created an empire off of beauty and skin care products that has catapulted her to success in just a short amount of time.
The corporation has held concerts every year and was just halted because of the pandemic. She also admits they really prepared for this one which will happen on February 7th, 2023. This was something she really wanted to do after all the restrictions that happened in the last 3 years.
When asked about the artists, she says she had a hand in choosing artists but credits her team and the show's director to put things together as she feels the need for the event to cater to different age groups, which makes total sense. Aside from that, some of the artists have schedule conflicts as it's the middle of the week, but she feels she's got the good ensemble made just in time for the big show. She felt the stars have aligned for "PINAKAMAKINANG" this coming Tuesday.
The artists set to perform in different acts on the #PINAKAMAKINANG The Brilliant Concert 2023 are Zeinab Harake, Andrea Brillantes, the band Kamikazee, artist Bamboo, Asia's Phoenix Morisette Amon, teen hearthrob Seth Fedelin, the bubbly Jillian Ward, the band Mayonnaise, my favorite singer Adie, the powerful belter JONA, broadcaster Korina Sanchez Roxas, Senator Raffy Tulfo, beauty queen Rabiya Mateo, DJ and host Sam YG and a multitude of drag queens just to name a few. Ms. Glenda also emphasized that this show isn't just for her, but for the thousands who have been instrumental in the success of their business. They also wanted the event to be in an even bigger venue (the Philippine Arena) but hinted that they didn't get to book the dates they needed. They already filled the Smart Araneta Coliseum in 2019 and now that they've had even more supporters, they might exceed the venue's capacity.
Ms. Glenda adds "2022 was certainly phenomenal for us as it was the year wherein we had the highest sales year on year. It has exponentially grown and made Brilliant Skin Essentials more popular as a brand. We're doing good as a business. I attribute my success from my inspiration, my Grandma. She always has been. Aside from that, we are thankful for all the dealers, distributors, sellers who have helped us become who we are today. They are the first one who trusted us and the reason why a lot of people know how effective our products are."
Brilliant Skin Essentials she says has already achieved phenomenal success. They are concentrating on expanding and diversifying their portfolio into other industries like the hospitality industry. She confirms opening a hotel in Malaysia after purchasing the building where their skin center was operating in the commonwealth state. They are keen in opening more businesses and not just in skincare per se. She says this has been the effect on opening the construction arm of her business, especially since she's a woman doing what men usually do. She just feels everything is falling into place.
As for the concert, I was surprised as our small chat divulged one of the numbers they will be doing which includes the good looking guy ALDEN RICHARDS having a duet with Ms. Glenda (maybe, maybe soon) so make sure you get there before gates close. Aside from Brilliant Skin Essentials products, they will be raffling off Yamaha Mio Motorcycles (10) and 2 brand new cars + more prizes when they feel like giving away more.
The company is also going to continue their CSR projects including scholarships, a planned foundation that will establish a "Children's Home" and perhaps a hospital soon. She's a little sad that some feel she doesn't do that but shrugs it off because they just don't publicize it. In hindsight, they really don't need to.
Ms. Glenda wants to in the near future to just take it easy, to have the business run smoothly with people she can trust so she doesn't have to bee too hands on and busy just like now. She, her Grandma and her whole family are thankful about the achievements and want to be an inspiration for those who have, like her, has gone through hardships of life and now enjoys the fruits of her hard work all these years.

People are extremely excited for the upcoming DIVINE DIVAS: The Ultimate Drag Experience concert that will happen on February 10, 2023 at the New Frontier Theater. The show produced by Fire and Ice Productions and Nathan Studios will headline Rupaul's Dragrace Philippines very own winner Precious Paula Nicole (who by the way is still fresh from her Dragcon UK representation of the Philippines), and equally talented RuPH-Girls Viñas Deluxe (who sings crazy) and Brigiding (a triple threat!).
It was unbelievable to see them perform during the press conference a few weeks ago and hands down, much of what I saw there was already concert worthy. Though during the interview, they promised that what they will showcase on the date will be totally different from what they've performed in bars and other events. They didn't divulge who will be their guests during that time, but we've got dibs on it today.
They just announced that Andrea Brillantes, Markki Stroem, Lady Morgana, Turing and The Golden Divas (from Golden Gays) will be their guests on the show. Rumors say that they will all be clad in drag so it'll be surely exciting to see how Andrea and Markki will be executing it on stage.
Aside from that, Lady Morgana is loved by all. Turing on the other hand will probably do more of her dance numbers which drag race fans around the world actually love. I was excited, let alone impressed that the girls from CALISTA was having a concert in Araneta Coliseum last April 26, 2022 in Quezon City. I was also glad that Liza, Denise, Anne, Dain, Elle and Olive would finally have their debut as a girl group, they've been working for years just for this... and they deserved that crowd that attended event called "VAX TO NORMAL" which they dedicated to frontliners during the pandemic. The pre-show was good as they started with several talented singers from Tyrone Escalante Artist Management.
Then the show started.
The stage was something off international concerts, I felt that if this is just the introduction of CALISTA to what will happen in the future, they'll surely be a force to be reckoned with in the PPOP and international pop scene. They did their latest single RACE CAR which they launched a month ago.
Yeng Constantino started it with a rock vibe singing a few of her songs including "Chinito" and 'We Will Rock You" which is a cover song from Queen (loved the setup with Calista). Elmo Magalona did a sentimental rap number singing songs of his Dad the late Francis M. Good looking dance prince Kenneth San Jose was a discovery, he was intense and impressed A LOT of people during his bit. I must admit, I'm a fan now of that guy. They brought out CALISTA's knack for performing, these are different genres they are playing with but they definitely making a mark in the first few minutes of the show.
Stars in their own right, Darren Espanto was oozing with appeal as he made strides on the dance floor together with the ladies of Calista. The dance showdown with AC Bonifacio was also exciting, it made me think we've got a really good future ahead of us in terms of artistry because at this age, they're really very spirited dancers. Andrea Brillantes on the other hand was super fun to look at, extra bubbly and even enjoyed the dance number with Calista. She also endorse Leni Robredo by simply showing her outfit to the crowd, it's pink and that's a plus in my books! All in all, we've got a gem in our hands with Calista. They've proved with this concert that the Filipino is indeed world class! I don't know what's going to be next for Calista, but judging from their answers in the short press conference they had after the concert.... they're doing something even bigger in the next few months. They're continuing to inspire more teens to follow their dreams, I want to see them do international festivals and concerts because this one that they did in Araneta needs to be seen elsewhere. John Arcilla who played Sisoy in the series was there during the presscon and he says "When it comes to popularity, salability, it's a little hard for Filipino films to have that formula to get the interest of other nationalities and even local viewers to like it. Some think it's a little cerebral, but no, it's actually easy to understand. Now we have platforms that are presenting it like HBO GO. Since I was young every time I step on stage, I think about it like it's for the Filipino people. That's my perception, to liberate people from hangups they have. I don't consciously choose, it just comes but one of the best films I did is like Heneral Luna, it's historical and entertaining at the same time. It's what I want because it's what connects to people. Kids and professors approach me and tell me how they appreciate it. When they call me Heneral, that means a lot because they knew the character. The same with OTJ, with his gray areas, now he's a good guy. For now I want to be a global actor, I want to be seen on the world stage, we have proven a lot of times that we can do the roles as early as Rizal's time. We showcase what Filipinos can do, and it is significant. Whether in New York or different cities, I want to hit that niche so I can do projects globally. I have a few lined up, I have film projects that will happen soon but is preempted because of the pandemic. I can't wait to do that. Filipino films have been traveling around the globe, I've done representations of the Philippines and Southeast Asia since 1986. We've done the most famous film festivals, it's not new to them and we are in main competition. HBO GO has a wide reach, we are ready for the global audience. Our film makers are really good because these companies are not taking chances if there's no quality seen in it. It's just a proof that we are already there. I am so honored to be part of that."
Sisoy and his idealisms saved him. This time, he's going to be seen in HBO GO will also reach a huge audience, to hopefully learn from his life and the others that may touch on social injustice. We got to ask him a few questions during the media conference, so please enjoy!

It looks like ABS-CBN isn't losing touch as one of its hit shows called “Huwag Kang Mangamba” has been nominated at the ContentAsia Grants 2021. The show will be butting heads with 4 other propgrams for the Best Show Series/Telefilm made for a Single Asian Market. Winners will be announced on the 27th via a virtual ceremony and will be judged according to relevance and appropriateness as accorded in the ContentAsia Awards’ official site.
For those who don't know, ContentAsia Awards was put up by ContentAsia which covers entertainment media in the Asia-Pacific region. Huwang Kang Mangamba was launched in March 2021 and is about a tale of two sisters, Mira (Andrea Brillantes) and Joy (Francine Diaz) who did their absolute best to fulfill their promise to Bro (Jesus) when he appeared in order to put up a church in their community. They had trouble as their life stories and secrets were revealed and also, faith healers who tried to fool people were in play. It's a bit complicated and people are hooked, invested in the story.

This year's Independence Day rites wasn't all sad spent in the 4 corners of your home as TM channeled all the fun on social media last June 12th. Andrea shares “I am Grace, a college student and got approached by a girl I didn’t know. Then they warned me about it, too late. I have personal experiences in Taytay and I don’t know if my Yaya was fooling me, but I have seen and felt it in an abandoned house in Rizal. Even in ABSCBN they will go with you on elevators. I feel they are just around us. This is in house, no outside shots, so we were confined and I had to resort watching films that have the same feel. It was different than my previous projects. You will get it when you watch the movie. Most of the crew told us the place is really haunted, but we didn’t get to see one so we were a little disappointed. I have both treated horror and drama difficult because it’s emotions, this one is physical. I got thinner because of this movie. I also like gore, crying stuff, I am happy doing it. I hope people see how I work hard acting in both my TV dramas and this project.”
Khalil says “Ken is lonely, he was he one who helped Grace after getting curses. I investigated it, and it wasn’t an urban legend. He is also weird, he has the sixth sense I guess. The peg was to be a horror flick like The Shining etc but you will understand why the title of the film is that way when you see it. The title was already like this prior to that issue with other celebrities. For me to see is to believe but last night I have had felt something, heard it, someone sweeping the floor at 3am. Things like that made me really scared sometimes. This is my first horror movie, I like how they shot this. Coming into the project I was really excited because it became collaborative.
