Why ANGELICA-COCO Movie Almost Didn't Happen

Saturday, February 27, 2021

Love or Money, which will you choose? Well that's a hard question to answer but this new film from Star Cinema is just going to answer that for you. Angelica Panganiban and Coco Martin is teaming up in this project and with their first on screen pairing, it's going to be very exciting!

The Love or Money Blogcon or BLOVECON was a pretty fun way to actually get to know who their characters are and if you haven't bought tickets at KTX.PH, this might actually convince you to do so.

Direk Mae Cruz Alviar says "My artists were not flying to locations and we were blind doing the scenes. I was already ready but people were already sent home because of safety protocols. We were supposed to extend but Coco had Probinsyano and cut the trip short, it was a blessing because after that, we had the lockdown. Announcements were done while we were at the beach finishing some scenes. We forgot the film and saved ourselves while editing in between takes, and online, then waited for things to become normal. This was really a pandemic baby, it had so many challenges. We went through a lot and survived through that. Coco also had a limit in English, we joke about that. He asked me to direct him because he was Cardo for several years. He wanted to be corrected. He listens and he wants to know that, as he wants to be different in this movie. He is very patient, he knows how to fake punches and he knows the tricks, he suggests stuff, he does action 101. I learned a lot from him and he was so kind."

Angelica Panganiban says "When we were in Dubai, we were all going to run fast to the airport because lockdowns were already happening. We were pressured to finish this but didn't know if everything would close down. We were also worried about the shoot in the Philippines and if the movie is going to show in the country. Pandemic, the whole COVID thing was just crazy. If love or money, I would still choose love. If you work hard, you could still get that money, but love is a little harder to get and you pray for that. I couldn't find any fault on choosing money though, because if that gives them happiness, if that provides for them and their family, you can do without love, because that's the truth. You can find love later, or if not, you still will be happy. You can be lucky to have both. It's a big responsibility to give opinions, you have to know yourself, what your rights are, we are just lucky as artists, but they too can contradict you, and also give their opinions, that too is their right. Coco is tahimik, mahiyain, it was hard to actually pull off our team up because he has his own world. I was crazy, and I think he somehow doesn't get that. I was expecting him to give me a bike, a vespa, but he didn't, I was asking him to buy me jewelry, but he didn't. My room was actually full of food, it was like a grocery, I added a lot of pounds and ate a lot while we were there. Also, I wouldn't mind if I were supposed to be stuck there because it felt good to be there, I like that country."

This was a super fun interview because Angel was just hilarious! But she'll be showing sides of love, hope, and romance too. Watch her journey as she chooses love of money in this movie. This almost didn't happen because of the lockdown, but they were able to finish it so you could get something to watch. It's light romance with some of the best actors ABSCBN could churn out, Star Cinema made it, so I think that's enough.

They do good movies.

YELLOW ROSE Philippine Premiere on January 29

Thursday, January 21, 2021

I've heard of a Hollywood film about a year ago which had 2 Miss Saigons on its cast. It was like a theatre lovers dream to see our very own Kims Ms. Lea Salonga and Eva Noblezada be a part of it, let alone the stellar cast which also includes Princess Punzalan and a throng of other stars from the US. People behind the camera are of Filipino American lineage too, and the proud race doesn't stop there. Well for those who wanted a piece of it are in a bit of a treat especially if you are in the Philippines because it will finally be shown on KTX.PH this coming January 29th.

Director Diane Paragas says "This is like coming home. I've been waiting for this day for a long time and I've been excited for Filipinos to see it there, this is a great moment, it feels like coming home. It's loosely based on my time growing up in Texas, I played music too but not as close as Eva, it was my outlet, I felt like a square peg in a round hole. This is a fable, in a form of a documentary so I did research a lot about families. Yellow Rose is a Texan Rose, an old song that people know. They use that term as a derogatory one, Yellow as in Asian. The original song was about a mulatto girl, it was about her being mixed race. It means a lot of things and you find that out in the film. Lea sings Dahil Sayo, also Princess, a way to pass the culture down. It was something that was sung to me by my Mom and Dad, it was passed on to me and now I sing it for my daughter. I was referred to her (Princess), her acting style was so natural. I have auditioned a lot of girls, I've heard about Eva as she was cast in Miss Saigon, when we got financing to shoot the film, I saw her on Broadway to see the script. She blew me away, she had a magnetic presence, she had sincerity especially about the seriousness in music. She was Rose, on the spot. Eva was selected by Backstage, as among the best of the best. It's what actors read, for a Filipino to be in stellar Holllywood names, that's unbelievable. Joe Biden vowed sweeping immigration reforms on Day 1, we've had 4 years of disdain and we have been abused a lot. It's also a story of an artist, like a star is born, about her resilience and how music saves her."

Filam Director Diane Paragas

Ms. Princess Punzalan on the other hand has been sorely missed in the Philippines, but she's currently in the US and waiting out the pandemic although she's keen on doing more projects in the country soon. She says "There are a lot of people in the US and the international ones that have been able to see this. I see the struggles of Filipinos, who are undocumented, like sardines in one room. It's not an easy life. Here, I really feel the concern, the anxiety of what will happen to my daughter when I'm gone."

Lead star Eva Noblezada

We also got to talk to Eva Noblezada and she shares "The role is like your identity as Filipinos suddenly being invisible, it's nice to make the rounds, go through the finish line with a movie that is made for you. This is really a cool thing. I know a handful people who are undocumented but are very passionate. I watched my Mom and Dad break their backs, and go to North Carolina where people ask you "Who are you? Why are you here?" when you are trying to make a home for yourself. Miss Saigon was about a Vietnamese which I was not, I was lucky in those roles."

She adds "We are chameleon in the arts, we talked about what that felt, I did that for 3 years. I was like... Seriously? you want me a young Filipina to play a young Filipina? It was about a young undocumented lass, she reached out to me, and honestly, it was one of the best decisions I've ever made in my entire life. She allows the actor to breathe, she had standards, she doesn't give you hurdles, you feel like you're the character. This allows the product authentic in a way. The fact that Yellow Rose highlighted an immigration story, it creates a divide that we hope as a film, would rip off that stereotypical, dangerous, anti patriotic divide in our country. These are people, these are human beings, extreme words that this past regime has used. Country music is like poetry, it's beautiful, to tell a story that is very young and have so much to do. That's what it is to me as a millenial. Getting to do this, it was all she had, hanging by a thread, to know that you are not alone and that you are protected."

I also asked her about racism and how she deals with it. I also asked the director about choosing "Dahil Sayo" which they interpreted in different ways and times in the film. Check out our interview with her this afternoon.

Now make sure you get your tickets via KTX.PH and see the film on the 29th. If you want to see the struggles of a young Asian girl who only wished for freedom, for love, and an overwhelming passion for country music, go see Yellow Rose.

I will too.

Edward Barber and Maymay Entrata Said Their Vows on Princess "Daya" Reese Blogcon

Saturday, December 19, 2020

It's a movie to start off Star Cinema's year of still creating worthwhile projects and definitely, they've got a hit up their sleeves as the stars of this film called  Princess Daya Reese starring Edward Barber and Maymay Entrata. It's been a while since they've gone and make one, so when I heard they were doing a blogcon this evening, I hurried onto zoom and panicked just like the rest of the media peeps who were there.

Just like you, we miss them. It was obvious with the line of questions being thrown at them earlier that seeing MayWard together meant a lot of things, people miss seeing them together.

Director Barry Gonzales says "In these times, we need to forget the problems, forget covid. These people have dedicated their time making a really good film, it will come out on New Year's day, 2021."

During the blogcon, one of the questions asked was about a vow of friendship and they had to tell us what they could promise each other. Maymay was quick to answer "Whatever you may go through, I am your prayer warrior. I hope you and your family stay healthy, and really happy. I support you, I will always be here as your close friend."

Edward on the other hand sad "Until the very end, I will do my best in protecting you, I will always be there to protect your person, I know your heart, I know when people see a shining star, I will be there to try and protect you, even though you may not need it. To pray for you, to discuss it, wherever you may fly, I will always have your back."

The movie is about a princess which had to switch places with a swindler, Maymay plays both characters so this is a very tough role for her. Anyway, Edward's character will soon find out what she's up to, and I'm sure it wouldn't be good if they started this with lies. This would be fun though because this is still a comedy situation-er and of course, since it's been a while since they've worked together, I asked them directly about what they missed with each other.Aside from that, I also asked them about what they were thankful for. I'm quite pleased how they answered these questions.

Please subscroooooob!!!!!!! LOL

Now I hope you're as excited as me, we have to wait a few days though since this is going to be shown on January 1, 2021. It'll take a while but as Edward and Maymay said, it'll be worth the wait.

Inigo Pascual Shares Experience in BOYETTE: Not A Girl, Yet

Friday, November 20, 2020

Zaijian Jaranilla is starring in a coming of age film produced by Star Cinema called BOYETTE: Not A Girl, Yet which will show on November 27 via KTX.PH and the iWant TFC app, CIGNAL and SkyCable Pay Per View channels on the same date.

Inigo Pascual plays Charles, a jock who will be Zaijian Jaranilla's love interest in the film. Zaijian will try to woo him by joining his dance crew and acting like a straight guy, will this become a love story or will it be utter disaster? That remains to be seen.

Inigo got caught in traffic, but he obliged doing the blogcon while on the road

Inigo says "I am Charles, he's my best friend and we grew up together. I transferred when we were kids and just saw each other in college. I didn't know he was already Boyette, and initially I only knew him as Boyet, these are two different things. We then are going to discover how he was able to find out who he really is. I just enjoyed this really, it was not heavy, but there is a conflict because Charles is a homophobe. Direk Jumbo made it easy for me because he gave us freedom on what we could do as well. I enjoyed the locked in taping, it was safe for us. We did swab tests before, during and after. You kinda didn't go far with your character. We were able to immerse and become really close."

"Ever since the start, I didn't see anything bad being Piolo's son. It was a blessing for me, I can show who I am, my talent, to make my own name. I had my own thing that I want to do, I had the chance to explore and I didn't get to worry about that because he is really my Dad. I'm proud of him really."

He added "There were plans, a lot of them got cancelled because of the pandemic. I feel like things had to change because of it and for me, all I wanted to do is share what I have. I was able to release and share my music to everyone. I felt one day that I wanted to do a project, and the offer came a few days after. They assured us it was safe and protocols were observed. I just enjoyed acting, to explore it more, together with my music with Tarsier and of course local music. Before Boyette, we didn't have to talk about network wars, I'm personally against that. As long as we entertain people, I'm all for that. For me, I grew up not judging people, everyone has their own preference. They are human, and there is always a common ground. I've had friends who came out to me, they trust me that much, I comfort them and tell them there's nothing wrong with that."

"During work, we had two days off in a week and we used that to bond quite frequently. We had to do that too because we had to have that eagerness to hang out with him. I learned a lot from that kid even if he's younger than me. We didn't have air in between us, we just had a fun time doing it. I miss the classroom setting, I just don't miss the homework. For me, getting noticed by LGBT or anyone for that matter, I feel happy. If they look at me like I'm their crush, I'm quite okay with it, nothing really wrong about that. When I'm alone, I write songs and the pandemic time was pretty productive for me. I also did some projects and shows in between aside from Boyette. This is my reunion movie with Mariz. There was a moment where we were just talking to each other, and she shared her music with me, I cherished that moment. Whatever we talked about during that time, we understood each other, and I really miss that. This is the first time I saw her that she's not trying to impress people, she was so comfortable and confident and I was so happy to see that. This is the first time I've seen her like that while we were making a comedy film. We also roam around even if we had days off and we enjoyed that part. To clear things, we did go through things as a love team and as a pair. I can't say that much, it was 2 or 3 years working with each other and... (he stops)... (When he was asked if she is attracted to Mariz) When you see her, it's hard not to be at awe with what she is doing. I do think about having relationships but if in a lockdown, that is hard. I long for physical contact, I'm a hugger and it is a bit hard to do that in this time. Charles has so much experience, he had to hide things and not everyone sees his troubles. It was easy to do his character because in a way I can relate to him being happy, being a dancer, and how he doesn't choose his friends. I can't say we're like the same person, because I'm not a homophobe. If I were given the role of Boyette, it would be challenging to do that. It was such a beautiful thing to do a role that has been real for our Director, it is his life story."

It was nice to see Inigo a little uncomfortable answering stuff like that. It felt real and sincere. I hope fans get to see their film BOYETTE: Not A Girl, Yet because it is in some way, a good representation of who they are as artists now. We all have that friend, or people we know who are also like Boyette, Inigo also told us we should know their plight. To see their struggle, to show how they love, and make sure they know there is nothing wrong with that.

JOAO and JAMESON for My Lockdown Romance

Monday, November 02, 2020

Today (this afternoon) we got to talk to Jameson Blake and Joao Constancia as they are doing a movie called My Lockdown Romance, a full blown Filipino BL film under Star Cinema.

Finding the right fit for the roles was gone through auditions, referrals, and the kind of characters are not well accepted by artists. When Jameson and Joao auditioned for it they were happy to take on the challenge. It is refreshing to see something lighthearted and hopeful, this will revitalize your gusto to live.

Direk Bobby says “It wouldn’t be easy, but we do have something different to offer. We took care of the format, it is connected to real life situations. From all walks of life. The actors had same cameras and we guided them through web conference. It is nice and cleanly made.”

Gab Pangilinan says “I am human, I do have moments when I had to be marupok. It happens to everyone. Gabb is not just a supportive friend, she tells it what it is, very straight to the point and it is an exciting character. I could say, she’s gonna say what Jameson’s character wouldn’t say. It is light, fun and happy.”

Jameson says “We were used to love teams and that kind of thing is the same, it was something new and I had so much fun experiencing it. I agree it was somewhat similar, I was always the one who had to make girls pakilig and being on the receiving end, that part was different. It’s been a while when I had a girlfriend, I’ll let you guys know if I already have one. I am happy that fans are happy to see me in a coming of age film and this is something similar so I am excited for them. This BL movie is lighter, they will see that. I don’t feel much pressure, but I’m hopeful for the outcome. I am more of the submissive character, I do have some traits similar to that, a more lighter personality.“

Joao says “I was super happy to work with him because we knew each other. We know what the stories about and what we were happy is that Direk Bobby was there to help us throughout. I am grateful it is a new experience for me and a new movie, so I’m just happy to just be here. To be honest there is no difference in pakiligs, love is love and the way you do it is the same. It was easy for both of us. I have had these moments, pero when I date, just sweetness, every wall falls down. I have read tweets, I am happy with what I’m reading. This is light, fun and super relatable. The setting is what is happening right now. We are more excited because everyone would be able to watch now at the comforts of their own home. You have to see the end scene, watch the whole film and you will understand what we are saying. I auditioned for this and my family were excited for me. I have had bromances, Jameson and I have had that, we care about each other and that’s what closest friends do.“

Currently, they don’t want to reveal if there is a kissing scene, maybe they’re really keeping that in the wraps. Their chemistry is undeniable, they look good together and perhaps, you’ll feel good seeing them on screen. This will be shown on November 13 at CineXpress channels at KTX.ph, iWantTFC (tfc.tv), IPTV, Cignal PPV and Sky Cable PPV.

You've got to see this!

Ronnie, Loisa and Donny for James, Pat and Dave

Thursday, February 13, 2020

They were lauded about their film and yes, it's still showing. It's the sequel to Vince, Kat and James called James Pat and Dave. Maybe it's high time you watch it on Valentine's day.

They liken these to the classic romcom and yes, it's very millennial character wise. You learn about hope, love, moving on and keeping it. During the presscon, Loisa Andallo cried because she felt so overwhelmed about the praises she got from people and the management. For her to be chosen for this project alone shocked her because she was spotted doing a project in Hospicio De San Jose by Olivia Lamasan. It got very personal. The three also got to do several things that are more matured (which we will not divulge so as not to spoil it).

It's a dark horse but it feels they are succeeding  Make sure you watch it on cinemas today!

Hell Come Home Premiere Night

Tuesday, October 29, 2019

Star Cinema is putting its chips on a horror movie this Halloween season. This movie is called Hell Come Home and talks about different things like haunted places, possession, cults and family. We saw the cast, their celebrity friends who all came out and supported them during the premiere night.

What's good is that Dennis Trillo,  Alyssa Mulach, Raymond Bagatsing and Beauty Gonzales are doing this film. A good thing for people who want a different combination on screen. This is also R13, probably for violence and some scenes that are for mature audiences (some foul mouths and gory stuff in between). Although it is not the gory type, you're going to see and feel lots of of shocking moments, run and chass scenes in the movie. I guess that part is fulfilling. It is a nice story intertwined by relationships in the past, how they bring forth keeping their home away from the crazy, the haunted, and ghosts made of their own fantasies.

If you wanna watch something scary, this might fit the bill. It shows tomorrow in theaters nationwide!

#KathNiel for The Hows Of Us

Wednesday, August 22, 2018

This is the film most awaited by fans and just about anyone I know. I think we were just so hungry about updates, the teasers alone gained thousands of views, and we know why. It’s because the most popular loveteam in the country is in it, who wouldn’t love #kathniel. Mind you Darren Espanto, Susan Africa, Jean Garcia, Kit Thompson, Ria Atayde, Alwyn Uytingco, Juan Miguel Severo and a lot more will be here.

They will showcase the love story of Primo and George and how they try and save a love that lasted for years - when you try and give reasons to stay, but fall on a thousand more reasons to be in separate ways.

Direk Cathy say “They are matured now, it’s not easy to make them cry, in the same manner you get tougher in life and it’s simpler in the past. You will see another layer with KathNiel, I did not direct Daniel Padilla here, he just did it. He has grown and I am proud of him. They have never dwelled on matured roles and Inwas warned not to do this but I did it in this film, talk about s3x, relationships, but not into something that is not needed in the film. I have kids so I won’t make something they couldn’t watch. How honest can I be? I needed to see something new from them, they had previous projects with a different feel, it’s why we are doing this story. People doubt the capacity of my artists especially Kathryn, it’s why she did it with flying colors. It’s not just a story, this is more because it’s a slice of life, from young years til they mature. It was a challenge for all of them and it’s one of the reasons why we did this. KathNiel fans want HURT, they ask me to do something that would make them carry towels to cry on in the movie. There is romcom, the end though has a twist.”

Kath adds “Every time I make something I ask if it will help, but not to the point of safe, some skin once in a while so you can go out of the box. I take my time, I don’t hurry growing up. Yes we did also have things to do to save our own relationship in real life, I made the right choice because even if we want to make it perfect it isn’t, we grow and move on. The secret with us? You grow together, you don’t give a reason for it, the things we fought two years ago isn’t the same today, just not too much of our lives, we have separate ones but we are so good when we are together. I think it shouldn’t be just us all the time, we have support systems, we have friends, we have families and it is an effort because I know people miss him too. We are here because we have the reason to stay and why we grow together.”

Daniel says “It is always a decision, I am not a love guru but I always go back to the reason why I loved her even if there is a problem now, where we are and where we are going. Some if the scenes here are from Kathryn and I’s own experience. Just think how hard the material is, it’s difficult and has more instructions so there is definitely a change in her direction style. Do we get tired of each other? Yes but she’s part of my everyday, we still have a lot to do and we are in the next level of love, next level of relationship. We see facebook worthy relationships, but love is different for every person, it’s a 24 hour job to be a malupit na boyfriend, I struggle, it’s a problem when that happens because it should be always difficult. In this industry, it’s been a while but in life I still have a lot of things to accomplish. I am always serious when I am in a relationship, otherwise you just do rock and roll. That’s the plan, Kathryn makes me a better person. Other than kilig, I found why I lover her.”

It will be also seen in Brunei, Papua New Guinea and the Middle East on September 6, the US and Canada on September 7, London on September 8, Spain on September 9, Australia and New Zealand on September 13, and Taiwan on September 16.

Again, make sure you fight for movie tickets this coming August 29, 2018. If you’re not there, they will hunt you down haha! Though really it will be a good one, it felt like it while they were talking about the film at the press conference.

I love #KathNiel.

Sin Island Showing on Valentines Day

Monday, February 12, 2018

Times have changed and so have the actors. Their goody two shoes characters are now doing sexy scenes, it’s a cycle and all emotions are on this film (as Direk Gino puts it). We spent the afternoon with the cast of Sin Island, a movie made and produced by Star Cinema. They’ve made similarly themed ones during Rossana Roces’ time but this time, Coleen, Xian and Nathalie will make your Valentines day a little hotter.

Xian says “It’s a sexy adult love story and it is new for people like me. The characters will undergo different things, it’s a different role, and I wanted to do this as my last project with Star Cinema. It’s very new and I had to ask a lot of questions. It felt uneasy at first and when Direk Gino were asking me to do things, he was there to guide us. It is a story of a marriage so there is a redeeming factor even if this is a little bit dark. I wanted to do as many roles as possible and I see my fans as very understandable, even if I need to take out the good boy, Kim and I talk about it but don’t meddle in each others affairs because as actors we have to reinvent ourselves. I consider it as my first very matured role, sexy in genre but I treat it like a different character. It really depends on the story, we are artists. At first when we did the workshop, it was different, I thought Coleen was not game but she’s a cool person. Nathalie had a lot of ideas, I guess barriers were down after a few days. I felt very excited doing this even if there are a lot of people watching in the shoot. I think too much, but Coleen is very relaxed, she was even eating spaghetti before we did the love scene. Nathalie didn’t talk too much and didn’t plan things, we just went along with it. People are no saints, have darksides, we let the bodies do the talking. Kim is busy and has work, but I invited her.”

I am Nathalie Hart because Princess Tinkerbell is just not good when you’re growing up. I didn’t want my own family to see Siphayo (where she won an award) but for me this one is a bit challenging, a very mental character where half of it is me and half of it’s not. When I did it, it was easier and didn’t have to cry. I like when they see that I could do other things too. Later I am doing another movie with Diether Ocampo and I think they love me. We want people to know about it and discover during the movie on how the story becomes complicated. I love how Star Cinema made the trailer because it doesn’t tell much about what will happen in the movie. I knew Xian had a relationship, I just needed to push and finish the love scenes and there are a lot of awkwardness, but working with different people means it’s a totally different story. It was working with Star Cinema, these artists, and the other projects they had for me that got me excited. This isn’t just sexy, it’s just a small part of it and mostly is proper acting. It was awkward to talk about it so I joke around and just do it. We have to look the part, to look at him and fall in love with him so our characters becone real.”

Coleen says “It’s my fourth time working with Gino so I am quite comfortable with her. Billy is super supportive, we support each other regardless, it just depends on the role and story and I’m game for anything. I just learned the value of fighting for love, it’s only now with the right person that I find it to be worth it. This is the sexiest movie I have been in and it’s the bravest, most daring and edgy movie. It’s very different, but Billy is excited to see the scenes I already told him. As a couple, it’s more with love, and that should show on the screen.”

Direk Gino adds “We had workshops before the film so I really had to know what makes them tick so I could find out who they are. In the love scenes I just had to make it light and comfotable for everyone. We did it for eight months, there were changes along the way and wanted it more daring. It was passed to management, very risky so we had to stop a few times. It was new but when they saw the rushes, they had time and confidence to push through. I am glad it’s uncut, it has R16 rating. I hope people watch Sin Island, it’s going to be very busy for us and we will have different screenings, partners and friends for screenings.

Erich, Lovi and Tom for THE SIGNIFICANT OTHER

Sunday, February 11, 2018

I have always loved Erich since she started doing shows in ABSCBN. In a way I was rooting for her, both in her work, and her relationships. Like life, it all has ups and downs. She felt real for me, even if she unfollowed me on IG but I don’t mind anymore haha. She remained so nice to me whenever we meet, I’m a fan I admit, and I like what is happening. She worked hard for her body - and now is the opportune time to show it off.

We all like what we see.

In this film though, she’s not the one who gets pitied with because as much as you would want to feel for her character, she’s the other woman. Lovi on the other hand plays the wife, who in a nutshell focused more on her career than her marriage. I don’t see the reason why she should be cursed for that alone but there may have been reasons why Tom Rodriguez would philander. Would that even be justifiable?

Direk Joel Lamangan says “This is the story of a woman who fell in love, and how the significant other woman came into the picture. The title is there as it is what’s written, and we think it is integral to the movie. They are not contented, they are problematic, this storyline has been told so many tines but the only difference is... are these actresses who are the best in their generation. It exists and it happens. Working with Snooky, Dina, and Tom was obviously my favorite part. I just want to see them sincere in creating characters.

Dina Bonnevie says “I’m a doting mother, who still has care for their kids. A little well off but just like Snooky we’re just looking after our kids. I was so afraid of him in the past but he sets the bar with being real and faking it, he’s very frank but you’ll learn so much to tell me sometimes he doesn’t believe my acting, to be better than the last time. He’s a maestro.

Ms Snooky says “I learned a lot working with Direk Joel. It’s like I reached the pinnacle of being an actor, I just worry I will fail but he has been so kind with me. I really thank him on how he treats the crew, how important it is to the craft and how he treats everyone. I see so much of Lino Brocka in him. We had a scene with Ms Dina in the bathroom and you’ll love how that will unfold in the movie. It’s something you should look forward to, when I was in underage it was so hard to remove that thought now that we had to work and hurt each other. We had to really do it again because the first take was too soft for him.

Tom Rodriguez says “I play Dr Santillan and regards himself as the best in his field. Very confident and he gets to sleep with the top models in the industry. He gets his machismo, his confidence from doing these things that are wrong. I had so much fun working with Direk and I am trying not to get freaked out working with him.

Lovi says “I am a supermodel, wife to Tom. She chose her career over love so she didn’t have time for her husband. I started with Direk and I think he is just an actor’s director. Erich is someone I look up to and if you see her at work, I get to do good scenes because I get it from her. She’s real and very sincere and I am thankful that I got to do that with her.

Erich adds “She might be poor but is divided into playing this love game with his heart or mind. This is such an opportunity for me, this is also the first time I worked with actors from other networks. My rule number one is not to be number 2, and I think it’s the classy way to do even if you already want to hurt the other party. I love the chance to actually work with Lovi, we’re now good friends.
