ZIA QUIZON Signs with STAR MUSIC and Releases New Single "RETO NA NAMAN"

Thursday, November 13, 2025

Just got out of the Dolphy theater this afternoon for the launch and contract signing of Zia Quizon who will be now under Star Music. Present during the occasion was Nene Atillano, Jeffrey Vadillo, and Ericson Raymundo of Cornerstone, Roxy Liquigan, Jonathan Manalo and Andy Arellano of Star Music. This is the first time they're also letting us hear her newly released single called "RETO NA NAMAN" which will be under the same label. Zia was in a very positive mood and performed for us too.

Roxy Liquigan says "I remember when we met about a few months ago, and Cornerstone has been a very good partner. Zsazsa thank you for also letting Zia be part of the Star Music family. I miss her, miss her sound."

Jonathan Manalo adds"When you hear her voice, she is her own sound. Welcome to Star Music because we will start to work on your original music which I already got to hear. Wait til we come out with it."

Jeffrey Vadillo says "We have a lot that we can work on, and the hottest music label in the country, partnering with them is just an exciting moment."

Ericson Raymundo says "To partner with Star Music means we can do a lot of things together."

Jungee Marcelo told us "I was wishing for this, after a while she asked to make this song and that was in 2018. I was confident, I got a call from Star, and Zia was the one who presented the song and the one above just knew it's time. The perfect minds just met and it would be wonderful, and everything worked out, I'm glad it is happening. Please do not change, your groove is you, and I haven't seen anyone who can sing like that. Don't second guess yourself because I would want to work more song with you, the world needs to hear you! I hope Reto Na Naman becomes a big hit like the previous releases."

Zia says "There's a lot of things happening in the country, and pressing matters but I'm grateful for those who worked here, my husband and mom is here. I'm just glad to be here! I've been busy with life, my house, getting married, but I remembered a song in 2018 that was sent to me on email. I just went back and searched for it."

She adds "Platforms have really changed, so distributing songs is different. I also listen to new OPM, regional songs, and it's easier to hear songs from other countries and how to mix it. I just try to be open to suggestions and do covers, we'll see what we can do. I was gone for a while but really, I was just busy with life. I just had time now to go and do it, I'm excited to bring joy, entertain people and hopefully it brings joy. My last project is was band centric when I was with my college mates. I really appreciate all the little things they do now, it's a team effort. I'm kinda going back, as folks are ready to rediscover music."

She's also launching a music video tomorrow November 14 around 7pm on YouTube. You can also stream her music on Spotify and available music platforms on Google and the Play store and App Store.

Take an Emotional Journey with BECOMING ICE

Thursday, July 31, 2025

It's HIS time, and Ice is taking you to an emotional journey with his music under Fire and Ice Music and Star Music. It's called BECOMING ICE, a full album of original songs from Ice Seguerra. It's been a while since he released songs, so this is a welcome development for those who have been eager to listen to his songs, the emotional pipes, and the story that comes with it.

Producer Liza DiƱo says "Ice has been here in Noctos for a couple gigs now and thanks to them for opening their doors as a venue for Being Ice the album and Being Ice Live The Concert Experience. We've seen him transition to a lot of roles, and still wear many hats to this day. We had a successful Becoming Ice a few years back, but still we ask who he is, how he separates his professional to his personal. He is still discovering things, for the first time he is more open to share his vulnerabilities, his first all original album. Sharing these songs and bringing out his thoughts, he wants you to witness this in the album and the concert. It'll drop o. August 8 and will be performed September 12 and 13, all on his birthday, to sing with you. You will get to see it all, raw and with emotions. This is a point where he will embrace himself, all the more with the passing of Mommy Caring, I am very excited about this as it is the culmination of being in the business for 30 years!"

Ice says "Like what Liza said earlier, it took me a while to do this. Being in this industry, it was more of fear to fail in writing my own songs. It has to be a hit, and when it fails, it will fall on me. I equated it like that for a long time. I was afraid to fail and make mistakes. Maybe I've thought about doing this in the past, but I had to mature, it's a challenge to release something personal. My songs are very quiet, and I had to accept that I can move forward. I was afraid of not being successful. This is a serious job, but I can own the word artist now because I can own what I'm putting out there, my failures and success."

He adds "During the pandemic it was a hard time, when I lost my work I lost my purpose. I wrote this on my laptop, showed this to Jonathan, and said he would know how to make sense of this. Now it has structure, I hope you feel this when you are lost, to remind you that there is always hope."

I've heard a couple of his songs from the album, but hearing him live was just a whole lot different. You could feel where it was coming from, I bet there were a lot of people who cried while he was performing on stage. It was that good

Now go stream on streaming platforms and download it today. It was a super emotional afternoon to listen to it. The album is good, but I would suggest you hear it live, grave!

MAKI Hints Full Album Release at BUGHAW Single and MV Launch

Friday, March 14, 2025

One of the nicest songs of this generation I heard was from this artist named Maki. He's gotten a huge following, not surprised because of the quality of the song, but it did have a notion of it being a one hit wonder, til I head the rest of the songs he came out with.

Speaking of which, he just recently released a song called BUGHAW. He also directed the music video, sort of his directorial debut too. This is under Tarsier Records which is under Star Music. They had a launch a few days ago at Matrix in Quezon City. It was quite intimate, with not just his fans in tow because his fellow artists and his whole family went there to support the very talented boy. Angela Ken, his brother Haro and ethereal sounding Dani Zam also performed before him, it was quite a revelation of songs that I haven't heard yet. I felt music in the Philippines had a very bright future after seeing that, no joke.

Here's the part where he got to talk to his fans that evening:

The Zushis, his fan group, all went in throngs to support him. All I heard from them and his family is how he remained humble, down to earth despite the remarkable success he's had for quite a while. He also hinted a full blown album which he plans to release soon, so stay tuned for that. He also wants to create his own short film, preferably Anime themed because he's quite fond of doing the art form. Here's why people adore him, check out the performances that evening on this video:

Make sure you stream his new single, and wait for the full album he plans to release this year.

Filipina-Israeli Shira Tweg Releases "Pag-ibig" Under Star Music

Thursday, June 15, 2023

I've seen Shira Tweg a couple of times from her previous movie "Sugat Sa Dugo" back in 2021 (we interviewed her) and MMFF Summer entry "Kahit Maputi na ang Buhok Ko" (she portrayed a young Sharon Cuneta) which talked about the life of Singer-Songwriter and hit maker Rey Valera. She's a Filipina-Israeli actress who I think looked like a mix between Salma Hayek and Catherine Zeta Jones. She's also a singer and this time, she just released a new single called "Pag-ibig" under Star Music

Here's our interview with her during the launch:

I like the song and its premise, of where a hopeful young girl still believes there's someone out there for her even though she already got hurt in past relationships. She's not a belter per se, but she sure has a unique voice and tone that's pleasing to the ears and an ability to tell a story. She gave us a show during the launch, albeit sick, she went ahead and performed for us. It was nice to hear her rendition of Sharon Cuneta's Mr. DJ and her new song "Pag-ibig". Her new single was also written by Direk Joven Tan who's also done a lot to help her in her music career.

Shira also plans to have her own business soon, and she's preparing a lot for that. She's an actress and she's raring to grab the opportunities presented to her, to hopefully also release more songs in the near future. About pageants, she's not that interested in doing it, but rather do modeling.

She's had suitors, but prioritizing her career and education comes first. Love isn't perfect she says, but the song "Pag-ibig" gives you reasons to still believe in it no matter how many times you fail in relationships. It also tells a story of your struggles, on how you would take the courage in professing love for another person. She hopes you find this song to be about you in one stage of your life, and yes, you can stream this now on all digital platforms and YouTube for the music video.

She's got a long way to go, but she's talented and we hope they get to create even more songs for her so people would be able to listen to Shira Tweg and believe in love again. Congratulations on your new single dear!

LIZZIE AGUINALDO Releases Debut Single "Baka Pwede Na" Under Star Music

Saturday, June 03, 2023

She's just starting but everything seems to be falling into place, that's how I see Lizzie Aguinaldo. She just recently released her debut single "Baka Pwede Na" composed by multi awarded songwriter and director Joven Tan. This is under Star Music.

Lizzie says "I hope this song will be something that people would play whenever they feel giddy, in love, or even when they remember that special someone in their life, particularly those in my generation. I love how  simple Direk Joven Tan made this song, and I hope people feel the whole vibe of my first single."

She adds "I've been dreaming of becoming a singer ever since I was 8, and recording "Baka Pwede Na" and the whole experience is unbelievable! It's a mix of being nervous and excited, I was already thinking of having this be a movie soundtrack. I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to do this now! My school fully supported me, I was shocked they put up a billboard on our school, and I was so happy to see that. I must say, even though I don't have experience in relationships, I think I made the connection with the crushes I had in the past. It was a nice process because Direk Joven made the song so fast, I think we only took 2 weeks to record it. I do write songs, but haven't had the chance to release that. I do have formal training, I actually have my voice coach here right now. I get inspired with Taylor Swift songs, even OPM bands, I love listening to them as well. I love Zack Tabudlo and his songs, I hope to get to work with them soon."

Direk Joven Tan says "Lizzie already had a huge range when we first met, and I'm quite sure she'll hone this even more in due time, it'll be easy to work and develop which is why when they recommended her to me, I immediately said yes and worked with her."

"Baka Pwede Na" is available on streaming platforms now so make sure to download or stream it and see why there's so much promise for the young CaviteƱa. Just search for Lizzie Aguinaldo on Spotify!

Congratulations Lizzie! Can't wait to see you appear in shows here and around the globe! By the way, the event was supported by Lucky Prince Homes which Lizzie Aguinaldo is also an endorser of.

Singer-Actor LA Santos Grateful for Continued Success

Friday, November 18, 2022

We met LA Santos a little over 5 years ago when he started a singing career under Star Music. Back then he was featured in Rated K and led 7K Sounds. These days, he's already transitioned from being in the music industry and became an actor, appearing in one of the top shows in the country. He's now part of the cast of DARNA which has been raved about here and elsewhere in the world.

LA says "I've been so blessed about what I have achieved in the past few years. I have now been able to love the art of acting, I am beyond blessed to have been able to join Darna. The experience of being here takes me to another world and I'm glad about the reception of my character Richard Miscala (part of the paramedics) in the show. I've worked hard and have undergone one on one workshops with seasoned actress Malou Crisologo which has been very instrumental in making me part of Mars Ravelo's Darna."

Being on the hit TV show, he now has had the opportunity to work with Joshua Garcia, Janella Salvador, Jane De Leon and other stars from the network. They've been very nice to LA and has given him pointers to take his time with the lines he has, to relax and not overthink. He's been able to make moments happen with his co-actors in the show, and remarks "We're definitely like family!".

LA Santos also appeared in "Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin" together with Sam Milby, Iza Calzado and Jodi Sta. Maria. Jodi told LA during filming that he should understand why he's doing the show, to not get distracted about anything other than his dreams for his family, as they've always been there through the years. They also keep him grounded too.

For now, LA wants to be able to work with Ian Veneracion on a TV or movie project. He was able to open shows for him in recent concerts, as he too is family like the other celebrities he's already worked with.

Recently, his song "Di Maghihiwalay" has become part of the Darna official soundtrack and has been loved by netizens because it's been used for cutesy Joshua and Jane scenes in the show. Aside from being an actor and singer, he also wants to become a veterinarian as he loves animals too. He's also going to have new projects soon but is still keeping it in the wraps. He's so glad about the love he's receiving and is very thankful for the opportunities coming his way. Make sure to listen to his single on the music video embedded above as he's going to make more very soon too.

Congratulations LA! Keep the fire burning!

KD ESTRADA and ALEXA ILACAD #KDLex What's The Real Score?

Tuesday, February 22, 2022

This morning went so well as we were treated to kilig and fun with the global mediacon of Alexa Ilacad and KD Estrada's official loveteam KDLEX and their sold out show CLOSER, (a couple of Gen Ad tickets left!) which is their fan conference this coming February 26th.

The success of their pairing was certainly magnified during their PBB stint as they were part of the celebrity edition this year. Needless to say, when they came out and saw the support they got from viewers, they were certainly overwhelmed by it. Seeing body language and unending holding hands during the press conference this morning had me ask myself, what's the real score? Are they reel or real? Well, we couldn't pass on the opportunity to know and the media guests were all ears, so here's a snippet of the global media conference earlier:

If you want to be part of the phenomenon that is KDLex, you can still purchase tickets over at KTX.PH and just look for the event happening on the 26th of February. Enjoy fun times, music and see why people adore KDLex today!

RICO BLANCO Reimagines PBB's "Pinoy Tayo!"

Tuesday, September 14, 2021

Looks like Pinoy Big Brother is going to be extra entertaining as music will be good with Rico Blanco's "Pinoy Tayo!". Some of PBB's very own alumnus performed it with him during the KUMU Season 10 launch a few days ago. Maymay Entrata, Kim Chiu, Edward Barber, Robi Domingo, Maris Racal, and a whole lot more enjoyed the song on stage and its new flavor. Slower, more melodic, a new version, pretty good to see it that way. It's going to be part of Jonathan Manalo's new album compilation for his 20th year.

Rico Blanco says "I was really excited when I was asked to be with Jonathan's anniversary project. He's very prolific, I supported him right there, I studied it because it was a very revered composition. I had to make it sound like me when I'm performing it. Being a part of that story, I'm excited about the happiness it gives, I wanted that part to be the same and how people react to it. I remember hearing it during a football match and everyone danced to it. It made memories, and we as artists would like to make it that effective. I was already game when we started, I paused when he told me the song, what it stands for, it's well loved and I had to check what I could give to it, it's an honor for me. It just fell into place."

Jonathan Manalo adds "It's nice to see this song uplift spirits. When we made this song and we were planning to promote this song, it was meant to inspire us. Our morale was down, our energies too, and we needed a newer version. It's our way to lightening up the mood, to give hope, to celebrate even if we are under the pandemic. We hoped it could give good vibes, more reasons to celebrate being a Filipino. I took my chances when I talked to Rico, when we were talking I was already thinking about this anniversary project. I always had him in the lineup and was really timing when I would ask him. He was part of that dream. We were moving in different paces, his music was different than mine. I was pop and he was rock, so in a phonecall I asked him about it. We always were together in other activities but never worked together. It was the perfect time to ask him."

Here's part of the presscon on video

The album will be part of several singles that will come out digitally. They will be doing it in 25 tracks, 25 different artists and will be completed by next year. Congrats PBB and Sir Jonathan Manalo!

GG De Lana and Band Set to Release Album in September and YouTube Concert

Friday, August 27, 2021

I just spent the afternoon in the press conference of Gigi De Lana, ABSCBN Music's current internet darling who has amassed millions of views on her Facebook and YouTube videos as she belts some of the most iconic songs in the country. We were told that she's announcing something really big and by the looks of it, I'm not surprised.

She's very talented, people connect with her easily and also, she's very pleasing to the eyes. She's gone far since her stint in Tawag ng Tanghalan and now performs with the GG Band. She immediately told us about her efforts on doing compositions and how they are pushing to do their own songs so that they would get to grow. Now they have a couple of songs, oh no, a whole album to be released this September.

Jonathan Manalo of Star Music says "I can't divulge specific infomation about the songs yet, but they're really good original songs. Gone are the days of doing covers, this first album is special because it will introduce them as a band and the quality is really good. They're on a different level and this album will be released very soon with GG and her band! Up until now we can't decide on the first single because all of them are really that good."

GG says "We are preparing for something big, this is the arrangement of our band and the songs will be done in different ways. As much as possible, you will feel at home when you listen to it. Like listening to your favorite songs in your garden. This is a full on music night on YouTube in cooperation wtih YouTube Music. We already have prepared a couple of songs for that, but it will remain a secret for the meantime. You'll have a lot of things to look forward to because my band really thought about each one. It's a little crazy that it's happening all at once. It's been 6 or 7 months since we went viral, but it's not all rainbows and butterfly, it's a process, we had a couple of people pull us down. We underwent change, our YouTube channel and Facebook pages got hacked. We just started from scratch, we just want to make people happy, it's like people are part of our lives also. When the pandemic hit, we had to fix our online channels, took a hit, but that didn't stop us from creating more music. The changes made us stronger people."

So there you go, you'll be treated with a full blown album soon so make sure you're going to stream and buy their music when it comes out soon on platforms, this is under Star Music.

CATRIONA GRAY Launches Own Single RYF (Raise Your Flag)

Tuesday, June 01, 2021

Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray just recently released her single RYF (Raise Your Flag). She was in Australia, but there were media from all around the world asking questions, pretty good to see that in the morning yeah?

Catriona says "If you see discrimination on your workplace, in school, you can stand up for that. You need to empathize and listen. I believe the song's message is standing up for someone or for something. It can be as simple as an employer looking after your people, a leader looking after your community, around the world, not just the Philippines. I think that's the message from RYF.Recording is a different field, when I came back to the PH after my reign, I had to do RYF, it's lending my voice for something that I believe it. I encourage for people to do the same, to resonate with my journey and hope they too can connect with that. A lot of things have been changed but I've been working on this silently and I'm excited to release more music soon."

She adds "In RYF, there is a line that says "Whatever dreams there is in your heart" whenever you have a certain ambition, an interest, you have a dream in your heart for a reason. I really want to put it there. 2021 is going to be interesting, I have a few upcoming organizations that I will work with this year. It is my role giving back to the community and I recognize my privilege and there are people who are in hard times. I know I can be of service. When I was younger, when I was in highschool, I never knew what I wanted to do. I didn't know my purpose, but life is a journey, we have plans, but at the end of day we will be nudged to somewhere else, listen to your inner compass. At a certain point, you have to choose if you want to live for others, or yourself, it's a decision that you have to make, if you want to live your life, it's a bit of a journey."

"I want to be able to perform in different places around the world. When you put yourself out there, a new work, a new place, a new career, there is self doubt. When I submitted an entry to BB Pilipinas, I came from losing something, wanting to try again, there was so much doubt. Will I even get in as candidate? Another title? I realized that when I was on stage, I can talk for things that I care about. I searched for that feeling again, to live my life, to cry, but I can."

"RYF is an anthem for me, a personal song and I hope people connect with that. People are showing so much support and I'm glad people are appreciating the song and my music."

Her single RYF (Raise Your Flag) is now available for streaming on Spotify and other streaming sites around the world. This is under Star Music and ABSCBN. Go do it now!

Janella Salvador Tops iTunes PH Charts

Friday, March 22, 2019

It’s number one on iTunes Philippines and yes, she’s back from a long hiatus in music. It seems, she’s waiting for the right time, and feels this is it. Janella Salvador is releasing her first single and music video called TAKE IT EASY. We talked to her at the presscon of Star Music at Tipsy Pig in Timog Avenue.

Janella says “I want my experiences for the past few years to reflect my experiences. I guess it is near, it is a variation of different stuff. There are no other person came to mind, it is for me and for women like me who have insecurities. I want to tell them you are given this life and body for a reason, you don’t have to compare, beauty is something you have to be proud of yourself but if it takes time, do take your time. Today, I am just being myself. I have a playlist and I see that I want it to be what I want for my sound. I always have fears, but I am gonna show people who I really am, I am authentic, I love singing and acting so I am trying to write right now. I told my Dad to write. I would tell my younger self to not rush, great things take time and I know I’ll listen if I could do that.”

Producer Jonathan Manalo adds “There is a conscious effort to fit it in her image but parts of it is organic. Every time we make one it should be authentic for her, creative wise and personally. This is what you will see with Janella and her album. I know Janella will be the biggest star, she still has a lot of potential, she can do a lot of things, even back then I told her she’s gonna be big and she has a huge future ahead of her. She is just starting.”

So if you love her music then, check out her new music because Janella is back with a different flavor, a different aura because she personally had to do this for you. It will also be featured in Myx and Youtube so watch out for that!

You deserve Janella.

Prepare to be Swooned by New Artist Lance Edward

Wednesday, September 13, 2017

What to you is success? Is it the high pay, fancy cars, women? It's not all about that.

I met a guy a couple weeks ago named Lance Edward. He's an achiever, accomplished businessman, graduated from Ateneo with a Masters Degree in Entrepreneurship and owns businesses left and right. He's extremely successful by almost any human standards. He would have been contented with his career, but he felt there was something missing. He went ahead and decided that he's not stopping there. He wants to start with his passion... and that's music.

Lance Edward

Lance has been part of an ASEAN based boyband group and he was able to work with Wu Chun of Fahrenheit (who catapulted his career in Taiwan). Yes he had a very successful career in Brunei and Malaysia during those years but he felt quite alone and uninspired, he also was put a bit off because of the language barrier so they barely talk. So he did the smart thing and went back to the Philippines to finish his studies and take part in the business that his family was involved in back then. Now he's done quite well and had put up Flytmed  Manila Corporation. Overall, business is doing good. Still, at the back of his mind, he wanted to put his music out there, to ultimately use his voice to inspire people. Those words, I find it to be but a noble cause.

Lance Edward

Just recently, he was able to put out a cover he did of Tong Hua (transtlation: Fairy Tale) which is a very popular Chinese song. While he wasn't really expecting anything but just singing a made Filipino version of this song, he suddenly found himself and a lot of people watching, sharing the his video on social media and a lot of them took notice. Lance is so thankful about where he is right now and this, might be the start of his biggest break. Pretty soon, you'll be seeing him come out with his own single, album and perhaps music videos. He's also game pursuing acting, he did advanced acting workshops already with Star Magic. I'm sure you'll be seeing his star shine very soon.

We talked to him a bit over dinner. Here's snippets of that.

He also gave us a sample of the song that went viral. Listen in:

 Lance Edward

Make sure you stay tuned with Lance Edward as he's coming out with a single and an album very soon. He's also guesting in ASAP and a couple more shows, concerts too. I can't wait to see that single be used in one or more series for television. It's apt, it's an opportune time for him to go out there and start working on his dreams. Nothing beats a man with a passion, that's exactly who he is.

If you want to know more about Lance Edward, follow him on IG @lance.eeeee or like his Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/lance.edward.eeeee/ because he's very active in those channels. You'll see him soon... and you better be ready!

L.A. Santos Launches Self Titled Album Under Star Music

Tuesday, March 28, 2017

He's new, he's viral, he's fresh, and he's got good music. Best of all, he's a miracle. He is LA Santos, the same boy who was featured in Rated K who weathered tons of trials in his life and his family, but now is making headlines as he launches his own self titled album under Star Music.

I remember his Mom say a couple of days ago how much it has helped in his condition, he had ADHD and autism at a very young age and music has helped him. The art has gotten him to concentrate well, eventually making him look better, normal and exceptional because he can model, and sing like a champion. I too probably had ADHD when I was a kid so I can relate. It could be a bit difficult but what I think it needs most is unconditional love and care which he received quite well from his Mom and siblings.

L.A. says "I'm so happy this happened, I'm glad this press conference feels like it's a birthday celebration rather than an album launch. I even got to record Bruno Mars' When I Was Your Man, the only one permitted to do so in Asia so I'm really thankful! When I was young I always played basketball, but Mr. Gary Cruz my mentor had me singing. I had formal ones like center for pop, star magic, also had the opportunity to do front acts with Stylistics, Patti Austin, the OPM greats where we will have a show on April 29 at Resorts World Manila. Rated K also helped a lot and the message was sent across media and doctors said I don't have a chance to become normal, Mom was there for me and helped me become who I am today. I always do things differently and I don't loke what usual singers do. I can't wait to do mall shows, and be close to the people who would love to hear my music."

His Mom says "I couldn't hide my excitement, people arrived and this event won't be possible without you all. For L.A. I would do anything just like any Mom would do. I am so happy for him, I think emotion could always cure like what parents could give. There is timing, there are tons of activities that I had him enrolled to but it was music that made him very happy. Now he's singing and grown to be who he is right now."

Jonathan Manalo of Star Music adds "When he auditioned, we heard him in his style, he has tons of potential, we knew he will improve even more in the coming years. You saw how he did it live, he has great charisma and can really sing. You just have to wait perhaps next week when the album becomes available in physical and digital stores worldwide."

His story is very inspiring especially for differently abled people with autism. He got cured with a mother's love, diet too and a couple of doctors, plus he is so happy doing his music. If you get the chance, download it or get a copy because the boy is so talented. You'll love how he does cover and the new compositions.

Star Music Launches "My Name Is Ylona Garcia"

Wednesday, September 07, 2016

She started singing when she was a kid and now that she's a teenager, a superstar at that, she's ready to get you fall in love with her music and this is her debut album called "My Name Is Ylona Garcia".

"I wanna go to L.A., but I don't realy have much to ask for. I like Sarah Geronimo and her songs but these songs on the album are chosen to fit me, different tempo, some band like, it's like a full arrangement and very grand. There are a few ballads, then an alternative. I'm only 14, "grabe!". I guess it's inspirational, very much dedicated to my family and my fans. I took singing lessons, I also did front acts for other Filipino artists who came to Australia too, it's a blessing to have an album even if I'm only 14 years old." said Ylona.

"OPM is fun, different from what I listen to in Australia. I just wish that Filipino writers would just stay true to themselves and make more great ones. My favorite track is the prelude song "My Name Is Ylona Garcia" because I composed it just recently. The song Don't Say Goodbye is done as an homage of PBB because we always had to do that every time a person leaves the house or evicted. I don't really have a process, I just write what I feel and it comes out."

"Names like Marion Aunor, Nica Del Rosario, Moira Dela Torre and inspirational diva Ms. Jamie Rivera wrote the songs so we worked with Star Music and met halfway as far as arranging the songs is concerned. Bailey is somewhat involved in this, 50/50, because in creating one song you need inspiration, let's just leave it at that. Being compared to Ariana, she's her own thing and Ylona is also a different person. I've been bullied when I was a kid because of the color of my skin but you just have to be strong. I love singing Not Yo Bae because it's empowering. I would love to work with Bailey, he's like my best friend. I would want to also work with Bugoy Drilon and KZ Tandingan, sorry I'm really bad at pronouncing names, oh and Bailey of course!" she adds.

Her album is out on record bars nationwide, digital music stores worldwide and starmusic.ph!
