When they say that they're changing the landscape of television, they sure mean to do it. Recent pronouncements from TV5 indicate huge changes especially about their airing of PBA Games in the channel. They partnered up with A2Z to become their newest free to air avenue especially for locations covered by them.
This certainly was the fruit of the successful staging to the FIBA Basketball World Cup in the country, plus the win of Gilas Pilipinas in both SEA Games and Asian Games (remember that historic Gold?). Now Filipino sports fans will have choice where to watch their home grown professional basketball teams when games start.
This is after all the 48th year of PBA, and the goal is to bring the PBA Games to even MORE homes as possible. This ensures that not only will there be access to games at TV5, but more of the LIVE broadcast of PBA Games in this new free to air channel. After all, they're the Philippines premier basketball league. Zoe Broadcasting VP and GM Rene Gonzales notes of this exciting venture and took delight on the variety they could do with the programming which is now in their court. Having PBA as part of their lineup surely will open up a lot of possibilities for the channel and what they could do in the near future. It will all start on November 5th, and will be broadcasted every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday thereafter. They are also in the workds to do something for the PBA D League and 3x3 where the Philippines is strong.
Meanwhile, you can still enjoy the games on Cignal TV and Cignal Play. You now have options!
Seeing ALLTV on the channel lineup lately? Well, here's very fresh information about what's going to happen in the next few months as we talked to their CEO Ms. Maribeth Tolentino.
For the launch of the channel, she says "We wanted to do it on their anniversary as we want to have milestones during their birthdays. I can't confirm some of the artists unless we have finalized their signing. Actually, there are a lot of teleserye being pitched as we will start doing that by next year. We haven't chosen anyone yet for content but stay tuned. Our assessment internally is really, for improvement. We're slowly getting in the grooved, the system and organization, we need to add more content. We even had confusion on digital boxes yesterday because there's a difference in every region. Just re-scan and look for ALLTV. Well no, we can't confirm Toni Gonzaga's earnings, I think it would be proper that she answers that for you. It's confidential on our end. It's not too big as rumors say. For now, the sons and daughters of artists are being talked to. We haven't met them yet but their availability looks good."
About the shows they plan in the network, she adds "The programs have not been filled yet, just the prime time slot. So 5PM to 12am is good, we also have other programs from other networks bought so we're hoping by the time we launch fully, it will be complete. If you see, we have CNN Philippines, we also have teleseryes from ABSCBN, we're not closing our doors. We are slowly rolling out our frequency in other regions, the transmitters just take time to put up and reach here because it is imported. We also partnered with Cable organizations so we get shown in other cable networks."
She also mentions "Toni Gonzaga is very talented, a host, an actress, we need a star for a product. Bashers are there, but we don't mind them. If she wasn't good then that's a problem, but she is. It's more of the artists from other channel that still have contracts, we still are doing that. There are a lot of program pitching, so we need the capable artists for that. There are a lot of networks that want their shows in ALLTV, but there are legalities involved and we don't have a concept yet for them. We need quality movies, teleseryes, variety shows, so we need the good people for that. We all want them in the channel, and if we want a new program for them, we'll surprise you with it. I think that'll be better if you get surprised. The process of lawyers, managers, contracts bring delay sometimes, but we are eager to deal with them. We did talk to Carla Estrada, and Willie just talked to Luis Manzano, we're just starting to think about the new shows they could be part of and planning for it. We don't put the network in legal problems, the collaborations is just for content, it's not for blocktime. Licensing is different, networks do that, like for movies, Korean dramas, everyone does that. It's not a partnership of a network. Block timing means they have to follow NTC regulations. If it's about Korina, we are in talks but we haven't signed yet. Everybody has a chance because we need a lot of artists for our shows. They are just waiting for us, we on the other hand are preparing material, because we can't give them shows without it. Hopefully 2023 we'll be full blast. ABSCBN is selling content and we buy from them, the public just wants drama, that's Marites."
For those wondering, there exists an ALLTV studio: "The ALLTV studio will be the Starmall EDSA, that's the cinema, because it's passe, we just made them into studios. That will be ready by next year, and hopefully have face to face audiences soon. There would be a lot of possibilities to produce more teleserye, movies, hone talents that are fresh and would be there when you need them, we will complete that soon. Everyone was nervous yesterday, even our technical group, talents, dancers, we had mishaps, we hear their feedback and know we appreciate that we will make changes. We thought we just gave birth yesterday because we prepared for it for so many days. We just had a breather last night because we want to watch it til we signed off. "
She also talks about the good that Willie Revillame brings on the table, she says "Willie among others is not just a talent, he's a great advisor with regards to programming especially for managing artists. He was indeed a HUGE help in that sector, no matter what channel he went to, his shows still rate very high. He made us understood the industry, so far, so good. Aside from that, we have talked to Viva and talents from his stable are good and that's why we have much of the Viva artists there during our soft launch too. Advertisers see what the future of the company holds, we have good shows and probably are timing things. We have commitments already, we also have sister companies and we don't have to go to other networks just to advertise. We used to do that in ABSCBN or GMA, but now we're doing it in our own TV station. For now we are doing canned dramas, new movies and Korean content. It's not even shown in other stations here. We'll also be doing other shows pretty soon, especially how Willie will help viewers and ordinary people. Mariel also will come back on TV, she's going to be significantly be a part of our programming. Toni on the other hand will be having a different show, for now it's Toni Talks. We want our viewers to be called ALLTV, wherever you're from or whatever channel you watch, it's going to be called ALLTV and nothing else."
"Thank you to everyone who helped us, we want to make sure things are clear. ALLTV is open now, we are airing shows. Just make sure to re-scan, set Channel 2 on Metro Manila for free to air broadcast. Hope to see you all soon!"
As of now channels are different in every region. If you have a digibox, just re-scan it and look for ALLTV. This will be shown also on Cignal, other cable channels. You'll love the additional channel that's dedicated for entertaining Filipino people. Looks like things won't be happening overnight.
When skin and preventive medicine advise ain't reachable because of the pandemic, we find ways to get in touch with the experts. In fact, she's reaching out to you now via her own YouTube channel Dr. Kaycee Reyes, founder of famed Luminisce Holistic Skin Innovations.
I've witnessed a few friends and went to her clinic in BGC a few years ago, and I've seen really remarkable change in their skin. Her new YouTube channel is going to be more on programs about skincare and talk about how you can take good care of it with your family. You'll see her giving advice, including celebrities like the Legaspi twins, Carmina Villaruel and Zoren Legaspi. Of course, there are regular joes like you and me who may be featured in the show so don't hesitate to subscribe if you're interested in the topic. See how an expert does it especially if you're looking for skin solutions, hair too.
Doc Kaycee says "I'm a skin doctor, I pursued preventive medicine and cosmetic surgery in Germany. I appreaciate you being here today. 9 years ago, I didn't know we would be this big. The idea of being beautiful inside out is honestly difficult especially with the heightened stress we get because of the pandemic. We are reaching to patients so they could reach their goals. We started with online consultation, treatments in the clinic and send it to homes. Patients have loved it and now we're releasing 10 more treatments from Luminisce and products. Health is wealth, there's no one pill that can cure everything, but prevention is definitely better than cure. We also launched SOL REVIVE, mobile on wheels, to do preventive care. These are aesthetic treatments that can be scheduled and arranged with patients. The YouTube channel is also launching today, episodes will come out in the next few weeks. We hope you get to see it soon! I believe YouTube is still in its infancy, so we're testing how to reinvent ourselves in the channel. I've been writing for a couple of years now, the YouTube channel would be some place to inform people with evidence based medical procedures."
Luminisce has a branch in BGC (this photo), The Podium and Alabang
Innosense.ph (Innosense Organics) is also a health food store curated by Dr. Kaycee Reyes. It's part of the preventive medicine procedures, so we don't progress to diseases. Diabetes, depression, negative life events, it is activated by lifestyle choices. The food that we eat should not induce inflammation, nor should it be harmful food. We need a reset and be mindful how we could prevent it. We need to lessen toxicity, and prevent the activation of certain diseases. We need to age gracefully and Dr. Kaycee will take care of part of that as well.
The first episode on the YouTube channel will include the Villaruel-Legaspi family. They've been with Luminisce for 6-7 years already as patients, they're very kind and have always given a very positive personality. Carmina, Zoren, Mavy and Cassy have had different skin conditions, they come once a month previously, but since they couldn't go to the clinic, they're given kits once a month so they would be able to take care of their skin even at the comforts of their home. There will be a few more episodes in the pipeline including aesthetics, preventive medicine, mental health, life in the pandemic, things that you could learn from so you become a better individual inside out. You may start by subscribing to her YouTube channel youtube.com/c/luminisceByDocKaycee
Congratulations Doc Kaycee! Can't wait to see the episodes!

The smart and fun people over at Cignal just inked a partnership with APT Entertainment to bring a one of a kind 24/7 Filipino comedy channel on direct to home satellite television called BUKO Channel. This would be launched this coming August but before that, we got to talk to some of Cignal and APT Entertainment's executives and asked them about the current dry runs they did while on test broadcast. The plan is definitely huge. The programming would be a mix of old classics, reruns of your favorite sitcoms, and new fresh ideas that the production and artists actually worked on before and during the pandemic.
As the VTR was playing, it contained a few programs that were quite familiar to me. They showed Tropang Trumpo, Bubble Gang, Pidol's Wonderland, new ones like Jose and Wally's Kalabog and Bosyo, Pokwang's Kusina ni Mamang and Maine Mendoza's very own travel show called #MaineGoals. They also have a current events spoof program called News Patol - Patulan ang Balita. It's something that BUKO Channel will feature, just for you guys because here, their goal is to make you "Feel. Good."
Here's APT Entertainment CEO Antonio P. Tuviera telling us about the plans for BUKO Channel and the artists that are going to be involved in it. Of course, Maine Mendoza will be starring in a new show!
He says "This is the culmination of a very long journey. We have been working on this for almost 5 years and this time, we're launching a 24/7 comedy channel to provide something new for the audience. We need something like this right now, to laugh, inspire and encourage people. We just need this to get through the day, hence we're now BUKO Channel. This is being born during the right time. We've partnered with Cignal to give what the audience really wants and need during this time. We want the younger audience to see how the masters did it hence Buko originals. Now people know where to go if they want to have fun. Maine really wants to do new things, and she wants to do her bucket list. She's very shy, and this is designed to take her out of her comfort zone. She's going to go places, immerse, experience things that she hasn't experienced. Maine Goals is an attempt to experience more in life. Kusina ni Mamang started when Pokwang and I talked, she has been thinking about how to cook with the younger generation in mind. Kusina ni Mamang will prepare traditional dishes and do it the right way, cross over and pass on the recipes to younger celebrities so they could know and prepare like they used to. We planned this for two years and she's so happy that this has come true. The delay from 2019 to now was difficult, we couldn't control safety because they need to travel and interact with people, and we had to postpone taping because of Covid."
Cignal TV Inc. FVP/Head for Channels and Content Management Ate Sienna B. Olaso adds "Cignal TV wants the best possible content for all our viewers and partnering with APT Entertainment was just an awesome thing to do. They've provided entertainment to Filipinos for decades and they know their puls, they're our audience. BuKo is the first 24/7 local comedy channel in the Philippines. We are fueled by our shared passion to create and offer quality programming. You will see top-notch entertainment only on BuKo Channel."
See you on BuKo channel as they officially launch it on August 2, 2021. These shows will be broadcasted on Cignal TV Channel 2, SatLite Channel 2 and the Cignal Play app which you can download on the App Store and Google Play. If you want to have your own Cignal unit, go check cignal.tv for plans that you can avail. This would be really exciting for fans of Filipino comedy.
Adding an additional channel on digital takes a lot of work. Much like putting up UHF TV you're bound to have a separate concept, lineup of shows and content that is different from the ones you already have and GMA knows there is a call for more Asian entertainment content. Recently, they partnered with Jungo TV (international streaming media company) to launch HALLYPOP, a one stop KPop, variety and entertainment digital channel in the country.
Delivering to what is expected of them, recent lineup of shows include superstar KPOP group BTS GOT7, and Twice in variety show Running Man. Aside from that, they also showcased From The Sky Down of world renowned band U2, and the queen Beyonce on her I AM World Tour.
There are also weekly scheduled shows to be seen on the channel like Music Bank, StarGazeMuzik, KPop Star, Hally Stage so expect these daily dose of entertainment not to stop anytime soon. If you've got your own GMA Affordabox, you need to re-scan the channels and get this on your screen.
GMA Chairman and CEO Felipe Gozon says "We are grateful to Jungo TV and Mr. Chung for entrusting us to distribute their content in the Philippines. This is just the first of many to be shown soon on the HALLYPOP channel."
This has already been a huge success in the US and now that it is on Philippine shores, there's no stopping pinoys to ride the Hallyu Wave in the HALLYPOP channel. Come ride the wave with them!

Yes it is true, because WWE RAW is now back with FOX! What does this mean? You can now watch your favorite WWE matches on the FOX network when it happens on your favorite cable channel. What’s in it you say? Well I don’t want to give you a clothesline, leg drop, body slam or just hit you with a chair in the ring so you better listen, this isn’t for the faint of the heart!
This is larger than life entertainment that only the world wrestling world can give you. From WWE Smackdown Live, WWE Afterburn, WWE Experience and just about any match that happens in the ring, you’ll love it all because that’s exactly what WWE RAW brings.
Amidst the rough crowd a few nights ago, we got treated with booze and games in Makati during the launch. We were also informed that if we ever miss the opportunity to watch it on Fox (we can still do it every Tuesday at 8am in the morning) you can also see it on the FOX+ App 7 days after and watch it in your own convenience. Isn’t that just neat?
The gathering of wrestling geeks abd Fox executives was also witnessed by bold couple Aubrey Miles and Troy Montero.
Not to be outshined, Eric Tai of Showtime fame also went in the ring and showed his guns, to the delight of Tongan wrestling fans he represents LOL
They went a little crazy as you can see.
Of course how can I not have a selfie with this lovely couple, ahh I was turned to a fan again LOL.
Now you don’t have any reason to miss a match when they’re doing it on WWE RAW. Your favorite female wrestlers, male superstars and John Cena would probably say hi if you remain a good boy.
It looks like we're up for a wondeful ride again as E! Asia takes you further with the 4th Season of the original reality series It Takes Gutz to be a Gutierrez. This will coincide with their "I Heart Pinoy Monday Block" and will premier this July 25 at 8:30PM.
You'll see Richard back in the groove as he has gone back from a hiatus to spend quality time with his first born Zion. Sarah Lahbati on the other hand has been able to secure a Dance Diva title in another channel, making her a bankable artist and actress this time. Elvis and Alexa on the other hand have been able to go back to work and started acting again while the latter gets a position in the banking industry.
Feisty Mom Anabelle and groovy Dad Eddie take time to become grandparents and set themselves in a slower pace. Is this a permanent thing or is this just something temporary. Raymond on the other hand is doing well as a PR magnate, getting his businesses in shape but possibly causing a rift between him and his whole family.
Raymond says "It's a good thing that E! is doing this as we're doing it in 27 countries. I could say we're really doing good because it's already foreigners that are telling us, really excited about it so why not give it another shot."
Anabelle Rama mentioned "It's bad to push away blessings like that, I won't waste money! I won't be fighting with Ruffa anymore because she's already gone"
Ruffa says "The last time I saw her cry was when my mom and dad fought unless someone is sick or not well, that's where we see her soft hearted but she doesn't show it that much. I know she cares."
There will be a lot to watch out for in this new season. I've heard a lot of inside stories but we can't divulge it yet! Watch the premier this coming Monday (July 25th!).
