foodPanda is on a roll as they launch a new service that is meant to reach out to even more of their foodpanda Riders across the country. They call it pandaPatrol Hub on Wheels, huge bus that serves as a hub for legitimate panda Riders in hopes to entertain them (via lots of games), reward them (where you can use Bamboo points for foodpanda merch) and help them with any kind of foodpanda rider concerns they may have that can be answered right on the spot because their executives and officers will be there to talk to you in person as it has several seats to accommodate you inside the vehicle. 

The event was hosted by a good ol friend of mine Papa Jackson (who's a real deal biker too) and a DJ of Energy FM. He made the evening quite fun. Aside from that, artist, singer and rapper Quest went on an inspiring barrage of songs that evening and also lauded foodpanda for making efforts in bringing services to their foodpanda riders. Some very talented foodpanda riders also performed on stage the official foodpanda song, they're quite talented that they are bringing them to different provinces to do the same.

The plan is to get this bus appear in different parts of the Philippines this coming June to make sure foodpanda Riders across the country would benefit from the prizes, the rewards and services that they have rolled out this year. SIBOL Prepares for Southeast Asian Games

SIBOL is making its debut in this year’s Southeast Asian Games to be held in Manila. For those who don’t know, they are our official ESports team who will be competing with other Southeast Asian countries as an official medal sport. They will need to champion Mobile Legends, Dota 2, StarCraft II, Hearthstone, Arena of Valor and Tekken 7. I’m a gamer myself and I know a LOT of pinoys do well in these titles especially MLBB and Tekken (which I have also played in arcades for years). Though this morning we got a nice preview of how we’ll fare in the tourney.

They presented the teams too composed of Dota 2 geniuses Carlo "Kuku" Palad, Timothy John "Tims" Randrup, Kim "Gabbi" Santos, Armel "Armel" Tabios, Nico "Eyyou" Barcelon, Djardel Jicko B. Mobile Legends SEA Championships at Araneta Center

Weak or Not, you’re all invited to the Mobile Legends Southeast Asian Championships (MSC) happening at the Araneta Coliseum this June 19-23, 2019. This is in partnership with Araneta Center and EGG PH and EGG Malaysia. For those who don’t know, the country has produced some of the best players in the region and this Elite level competition will get the best MLBB players from the region so they would pit against each other for the chance to win Php 6.26 Million or USD 120,000.

Currently, the MBB champs hail from the Philippines named BREN ESPORTS who won last year. Jj Lin the ESports Manager of Moonton (TBC) will be in the country for this and ticket sales, draw lots for the playoffs will start on June 4 (stay tuned for details). Qualified teams will be announced on the same date so make sure to keep it here on that date.

Golden Fiesta Kicks Off Heart Healthy Camp in Nuvali

I think I've written about this activity which was slated a few days ago, good thing the weather cooperated so they got to have the Heart Healthy Camp which was initiated by the people from Golden Fiesta. Solenad 1 in Nuvali Laguna is a mixed use property so you've got a combination of BPO, regular office, school and residential areas, people who come from different walks of life who want to at least get breakfast, have an activity and Golden Fiesta Canola Oil is making it even better.

They've worn their exercise gear as early as 6AM and through the Heart Healthy Camp, they're doing different excercise routines and regimen in this strength and conditioning themed fitness camp. Families, groups, friends all came from different parts of the city and joined the fun trying different excercise and workout routines, and boy did they have fun!

Mind you they were no joke because the workout activities included Plyometric Box Jumps, Low Hurdles, Agility Ladders, Fitness Band, Kettle Bells and Ropes. After whetting their appetite, Chef Jose Sarasola prepared hearty meals for them later on so they also get schooled also about using Canola for their everyday cooking and use it for Salads, Frying, Savory dishes and just about anything you would want to prepare in the kitchen. If you didn't know, Canola oil is rich in omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids which could aid in making your heart healthy. If that won't be a reason to enjoy it after working out all day, then I don't know what will.

Gilas Road to Glory: Philippines VS Iran on TV5

It's a tall order, but someone's got to do it. This June 8 at 7pm, be one with the whole nation as team Gilas Pilipinas battles it out with team Iran in our road to glory for the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament. Getting this goal would eventually secure us with a slot to the Rio Olympics. They're already doing the legwork now as most of our Gilas players and Andre Blache undergo strict world class training under Coach Baldwin who made us take those necessary steps to become one of the strongest teams in Asia!

Road To Glory will officially happen on Junr 8 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum and will be televised live on the happiest network in the country TV5. We're one of the few teams that are up to be able to beat Iran as it was earlier proven possible in the FIBA Asia Championships. That close game, was certainly not the story they were actually expecting because in a nutshell, IRAN has ranked higher in the world and has been consistently playing in the Olympics for quite some time. If we've been able to give them a scary Finals round even if we're not in our own turf, that's going to be another story this time around. The Olympic Qualifying Tournaments will be happening in our own land, which means Gilas Pilipinas will have one more advantage, the Filipino people and the heart of a country that's stronger because it all happens right here in our turf. It gives the Philippines no space to prove itself, but a moment to be proud, be the 6th man and conquer even BIGGER opponents that we have ever met to get to Brazil.

There will also be tune up games versus Turkey come July 1 at the Mall of Asia Arena. Turkey along with other countries like Canada, Senegal, France and New Zealand will be here for the games abd we'll be expecting more world class games happening in the next few weeks. NBA 3X 2014 and Smart Cares!

An awesome day just happened at the Mall of Asia Arena when a local soft drink brand, in cooperation with the country's biggest network SMART Communications just held the NBA 3X 2014 Philippines. It caters to athletes in different age groups with male and female divisions but the best part is, they are holding Basketball Clinics, a Slam Dunk Contest, a Skills Challenge, a 3-Point Shootout, a Fast Feet Challenge, Autograph Session with the NBA greats LA Lakers Forward Wesley Johnson and Toronto Raptors Guard DeMar DeRozan and live performances.

A celebrity match was also done this afternoon where teams made up of Marco Alcaraz, Derek Ramsey, Ervic Vijandre, Rovilson Fernandez, Will DeVaughn, Jinno Rufino, Mong Alcaraz of Spongecola, Mark Zambrano, Bobby Yan, Robin DaRoza, Fabio Ide, Jose Sarasola, Eric Tai, Andy Smith, Luis Alandy, Coach Rio Dela Cruz, JayR, Vince Hizon, DJ Emel Rowe, Coach Alan Gregorio, Marco Benitez, Anton Roxas and Aljur Abrenica played for charity along with a small clinic for special children in the Philippines. Other celebrities like the Sacramento Kings mascot Slamson the Lion, Toronto Raptors cheer squad and the Raptors Dance Pak also joined in for this cause headed by NBA Cares.

The kids were undoubtedly all smiles before and after the games and the NBA players had the pleasure of spending quality time with them. I hope I get to see the next ones soon. No matter where I am or whatever I'm doing, it'll save me and give HD quality videos through my smart phone. Awesome!

UNTV Cup Season 2

Back from the very successful games last year, UNTV now presents UNTV Cup Season 2 and this time it's even BIGGER than ever because there will be 10 teams joining this charity. They are the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP Cavaliers), Congress (Congress Legislators), Department of Justice (DOJ Hunters), Local Government Unit (LGU), Malacañang Palace, Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA Equalizers), Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (Philhealth Advocates), Philippine Judiciary, Philippine National Police (PNP Responders) and Senate. Malacanang and Philippine Senate teams are new additions whilst LGU separated from congress building the official list.

Commissioners say that this would be a great venue to get together and help their chosen charities. Aside from that, change the public perception about these offices and get them informed about their individual projects so people can tell that they are doing something. Ka Daniel Razon admits that most of of them are victims of bias media reporting. He says "Sometimes the news isn't what we want to hear, we would like to request that each department should have a reportage team and UNTV will give proper space in newscast without any edits. Content will be all yours. Bring forth what you want the people to hear. It will be a good vehicle for your agencies to reach the proper audience." 

He also welcomed new teams like the Senate, Malacanang and LGU's (which separated from Congress) and was happy that it completes the 10 team lineup they were gunning for. They are planning to have three point shootouts plus an all star game later on and they have noted to get some players that have not been able to qualify in the games too.

Charities are going to be chosen by the respective teams and UNTV will not suggest so as to not have influence over it. They are monitoring these agencies silently and have ensured the money is going to them. They are also considering to put up Volleyball matches for women soon but that is still in the works. They would like to ask the agencies how UNTV can help, that alone is satisfying.  All games will be also played in historic Smart Araneta Coliseum and broadcasted live every Sunday at 2:30PM in UNTV. It will also be streamed online at http://www.untvweb.com.

Thank You Jansport for this Super Sized Summer!

I've taken a long vacation and right after I got back from my Bohol and Cebu trip, this comes along!

It's the Jansport Super Sized Summer: Our Last Hurrah Before the School Year Starts! This was indeed a welcome message to me and my friends because we don't want the season to end YET! Rod Magaru and I even went and joined their competition at the Mall of Asia: By the Bay Grounds. We were both late so don't ask about how we fared... but we basically did the Inflatable Obstacle Course, the Coin Swimming thing, and lastly the Wall Climbing! OMG! It was one of the hardest things I've athletically done in a while LOL! But I think we survived it!

Being a backpack lover that I am, JANSPORT is pretty much a staple. This is a confession: I've got around 30 bags at home of different sizes and shapes. I've probably had 3 Jansport bags in my lifetime, not because I'm cheap... but because its so comfy and so durable! It lasted a couple of years and I even influenced some of my friends to get it. You'll surely never gonna look bad when you have this on your back right? Because of its stylish and colorful variety it has been an early fashion statement for highschool/college guys and girls. It became a must in our school to have one because its practical and doesn't sacrifice anything on the "looks" department. You'll be the envy of everyone too!

Students, professionals, anyone of any age, shape or form all went out this afternoon to enjoy what Jansport had prepared for us. It was nice to see faces light up when they finish the whole course. I didn't even know there were prizes up for grabs, then it hit me... Oh.... so that's why those people were dead serious when the game started! LOL

For what it's worth, I enjoyed having fun with my friends and new ones I met in the event. I got shots of those who won in the race. I was so excited to see Students won since there were professional athletes in the mix. Life is gonna be so good for them these coming months I'm sure coz they won some hefty amount of change!

Congratulations to these two guys! They won 50,000 pesos in cold cash! Perfect to end the day with that!
