Rocco Nacino for ELORDE Boxing Gym Ayala Malls Feliz

Wednesday, February 26, 2020

I have always envied the life of Rocco Nacino. A flourishing career, a happy lovelife, a new show (DOTSPH), a dream home, several businesses, and now and addition to his successful Elorde Boxing Gym in Ortigas, the brand new ELORDE BOXING GYM at Ayala Malls Feliz in Pasig City. This is a spot he runs with actors Mikael Daez and wife Miss World Megan Young, Jason Abalos and a few business partners. Suffice to say, they’re very passionate. No wonder they’re all at the best shape of their lives!

The new gym has ample amount of space with a ring at the back part of the gym plus several sections of the room dedicated for boxing exercises and even sets of circuit training. It’s a fun way to actually work out if you are tired of the run of the mill gym time where your only cardio is running on the treadmill. Honestly, it’s a worthwhile change of pace so your body wouldn’t think you’re slacking and is perfect for young professionals who feel the need to relieve stress before or after office hours. You could imagine this could also get your boxing dreams started. I know of a lot of of my friends who now enjoy a fitter body because of it. This is one of the reasons why Rocco is sharing this because it’s also part of his personal journey. He’s seen the benefits of this personally and swears by the Elorde system of training. They have seasoned professional and amateur boxers as coaches so you’ll be getting the right kind of workout. This has had shed pounds off a lot of people, it also kept them healthy. The benefits are immensely proportionate to the effort you give, so you’re not far off seeing results. The only requirement is proper equipment and it’s available too in ELORDE Boxing Gym in Ayala Malls Feliz.

Here’s Rocco telling us about it:

Now they’ve got promos going on for beginners and for those who have been to Elorde in the past, membership os very affordable and you’ll get a lot of savings too. Or if you prefer, they have daily rates which are also very reasonable. You can try it out!

Rocco by the way also stars in DOTSPH and hosts a health show in GNTV. He also told us the reason these are located in the east of Manila is because his dream home is going to be in that area and he promises to go to the Feliz branch as much as he can because he’s been very hands on in his businesses. So for those who would want to see him and some of his fellow celebrities, this would be a good place to also start. But don’t stalk them! Just say hi and they’re very willing to lend a hand.

If you’re up to it, you can visit them at the 5th Floor of Ayala Malls Feliz’ Garden Area. It’s so picturesque there, a perfect place to start your fitness journey. Rocco will be there sometimes, and the whole ELORDE Boxing Gym Ayala Malls Feliz team will be there to support you. That amounts to a lot if you want to stay fit.

Alden Richards: February Cover For Men's Health

Tuesday, March 11, 2014

He was beaming, all smiles and appeared a little thinner than when I last saw him Father's day 2013. Alden Richards is made. He's already being teamed up with GMA's Queen Marian Rivera in the teleserye Carmela; and has been doing good in his projects on the side. He's also the current hunk and cover boy of the Philippine "Men's Health", the bible of sports enthusiasts and health fans nationwide this February. It's something he's truly proud of as he laments this is another feather to his hat.

Making the cover isn't easy. It also means that he had to seriously work out and have a little help from dieticians and non invasive surgery. He doesn't mind admitting that too because if you have something that can help you achieve that goal to a perfect body, he believes you have all the right in the world to get help how to do that. He is by the way the billboards of BELO too.

You'll also see in the issue what workout regimen he follows and how he has included it into his lifestyle. He is including workout and sports in his schedules as much as he can. He's also thankful that he's got trainors who understand his work and gets easy on him when he doesn't workout for a long time. It's like starting back to zero but he manages.

If you want to know more about Alden Richards and how he stays fit, look through the pages of Men's Health on the February issue. It's still available on magazine shops and book stores nationwide! Let his dimples do the convincing, if that doesn't work watch Alden Richards in his shows on GMA. That will surely get you hooked!

Men's Guilty Pleasure: Nivea For Men

Thursday, August 25, 2011

Men like it as it is. They don't like girlie stuff and the things HE use in the shower usually stays a secret. The usual suspects would probably be what "women use" but the best brand didn't stay complacent with what they have in the market. They released Nivea's men's line and oh boy; that was the time I lined up in the groceries/drug store for the best things they have. For a guy that spends an hour in the shower and a couple of minutes more looking at himself in the mirror I needed it so bad. My regimen always had to have their shower and shaving gel plus the balm that soothes my skin. It was addicting! I had to have more obviously. I was so glad to be invited to their event a few days ago to try out some of their best products that fight acne, oil, promote whitening and make us stay as good looking, younger, longer, better!

This testosterone filled event wasn't as easy as I thought it would be as you can see. We had to go through circuit training in the posh 360 Fitness Club in Makati. I tried as much as possible to stay in the sidelines and play possum. That didn't work, I tried lunges, lifts, push ups and the usual run of the mill workouts but in a very staggered pace. The games were so much fun so we didn't really think it was tiring. It was exciting!

They didn't leave us in the dark. They carefully explained to us the products that they have a I adored them all! It took me time to actually use them all since I live in a crazy schedule. There are different remedies for oily skin but for some its like an impossible battle to win. Their line gently fights the 8 major causes of oily skin and promises huge improvements in a few days. I tried it out myself just for those who doubt them while reading this article LOL and of course it delivered! My skin stayed as nice as it is, but now i worry less about developing oily skin later on the day. When i got home it didn't develop that sticky feeling that occurs when I don't get to visit the men's room that often. The moisturizer does what it's supposed to. It hydrates my skin without making it oily again in the long run. It makes me irresistible haha! :) o if I were you I'd get this one today!

I shave every two days and I need something that would be able to soothe my skin every time I do it. After I use their awesome shaving foam I immediately follow it up with the balm and moisturizer. Yes ladies and gentlemen, as much as I hate to admit it I have a kikay kit LOL! To keep my looks as clean as I want it to, spending time for grooming is quite important and this is something that I always make sure I have time for. Some people tell me I look younger than my real age because I take care of my skin. With the proper skin regimen this is really not hard to achieve. It's not too late guys, you can still fight the ravages of time and keep yourself looking stress free!

Thanks to the wonderful people from Nivea for hooking us up with everything good with Men's grooming. Btw, if you are looking for the best deo I currently am trying the Nivea Silver Protect and it works wonders. It looks like I can wear this for 48 hours but of course I need to shower twice or thrice a day! The scent is very musky and cold so it's VERY manly. You won't have to smell like powder or flowers anymore like other brands. :)

As for my other Nivea addictions, we're still going to keep that habit! :)

Capisce?!

Questions on Weight Loss

Thursday, July 28, 2011

One fact that we established in the office is that we are getting bigger by the day. The lack of exercise, improper diet and habitual takeout orders became a norm for us that it made weight loss quite a struggle. We decided to make a contest out of it and the official weigh in started a month ago. I needed to lose quite a lot and I dare not mention my weight here. It basically falls on the obese range and it isn't funny when every physical exam that we do yearly; the prognosis is still the same. I tried a local diet pill here in our side of the world but it wasn't the best thing to take while on a work day. You kind of go into a cycle of taking it on some days and stopping for a few. The irregular visits to the comfort room were really inconvenient too. I hated it in fact because it's the last thing you need while a meeting is going on and it strikes. The food intake didn't also change because I starve myself and binge after a few days. It spelled YOYO diet all over! I'm going to try some reputable carb blockers instead and maybe that would help.

I haven't officially taken the courage to check and see if I did lose weight. I feel the weighing scales at home were hiding from me when I tried to do that. I probably would just go to our office clinic and try the official weigh in there after 3 months. The winner will get to win a few thousand bucks plus a treat to a local pizza parlor to take those shed weights back LOL! We do want to live a healthy lifestyle don't get me wrong. I will continue to go to gym even after all of these are through. I need to change my diet and my way of life. I'll be a little lighter than usual and get to finish things much faster. Our bodies need to be at par with what are brains can do. This is my personal goal for this year. My office mates did insane workouts and they lost a lot of weight during the first few weeks. I hope I can do the same with the gym time and diet pills I plan to take from here on. I hate to lose!

How about you guys?! Have you done weight loss efforts this year? What was effective for you? What didn't work? Let me know what you think so I can apply them to myself too okay?! Thanks!

One Thing I Want Now: Weight Loss!

Thursday, August 19, 2010

It's so hard for me to squeeze in gym time with my hectic schedule. I have been doing a couple of weight loss diets and I must say I have been in and out of it in the past few years (maybe even decades!). I still try my best to do weight training and running though something tells me it will just be an epic fail. I've tried numerous things but still gain weight after starving myself through most of it. I don't blame them because I probably am the one with the lame excuse every time there's food on the table. Mom cooks so much good food I can't really resist it!

I ask myself the same question over and over again. Why is it that if you are on a diet and you tried so hard to minimize food intake they make it the time to cook the best dishes?! Are they doing that on purpose? Is that plain torture or something?! Ha-ha! I don't know the real story but it definitely is one of the great mysteries in my life. I've seen one site with information that may contain the answers to some of the most complicated questions for people undergoing the same dilemma. As a matter of fact, it does make sense. I guess the adverse effects of diets and YOYO symptoms are hard to battle out. It all boils down to one's eagerness to follow things strictly. Options are surgery but I wouldn't want to go that path. I can still do this and I'm sure with the proper information and guidance from professionals I can make it happen!

A Superhero Workout!

Thursday, April 15, 2010

It was my first day back at gym yesterday. I guess I did enjoy it quite a lot. I never felt tired while running for 1 and a half hour so just imagine my stored energy. I did run quite a long while, I was dripping wet. I never imagined I enjoy running till I did that again. It did remove quite a lot of stress.

After that, I did a couple of sets in benchpress which is my favorite. I guess it was high time I did that again. It did firm me up a bit. I need to work out my tummy more though. It's getting bigger by the day. I am trying to eat less but there are times I need to drink a couple of rounds of beer to keep me a bit sane. You know how it is if I'm a bit lazy I just go home and sleep on it. Eating is really not that much of a big deal for me but I think my portions are way too big for ordinary humans. Heroes like me are on a special diet LOL.

I might not be able to fly if that is the case. But I can still lift a ton or more. I am invincible! So wish me luck on my second attempt at gym! =)

Hayyy... I Am Gaining Weight =(

Thursday, March 25, 2010

I am kinda depressed today. It looks like I did gain a lot of weight over the week and it is showing. Or maybe it is just my hair growing too fast. I checked my weight yesterday and I think I gained 2 pounds because I did not work out that much in the last 2 weeks. Something has to be done to stop this vicious cycle of yoyo diets, binge eating and the habit of not working out after work. I need to discipline my self again. Although what disappoints me is that I ate a double cheeseburger again this evening. It is not really healthy to do that on a day where I am not working out again! Sheesh I feel so guilty. =(

Anyway, I still have those big guns that I have. My biceps are evidently getting bigger and I can do maintenance for that. Although I need to do more ab work than the usual and run a couple of kilometers. I mean it should be more than an hour to spend in the treadmill. I also had some knee pains a week ago, and I think it is already okay to run a bit faster later. Yeap I will be working out today, and I will concentrate on more cardio + weight training.

Wish me luck and hope I don't waste my hard earned money paying for the thousands of pesos worth of gym time... I probably am just gonna be drinking expensive brewed coffee there LOL!

Another Day of Diets

Friday, January 29, 2010

It is one of those days again where I am contemplating on planning my meals in the goal of keeping my food as healthy as possible. I just got a new suit and the measurement is quite strict as far as the look is concerned. The designer did cut off every corner that was not in line with the shape of my body so if you think about it, it will make me kind of skinny. A little thinner perhaps but not that skinny but hey give me a break!

Now, I am actually back to my old self again and with that comes taking out rice in my staple since that is the one I did remove from my plate when I started a couple of years ago. Maybe today I will be using all aspects of my workout regimen and cardiovascular activities in order to make the development faster when it comes to these. I was surprised because I gained weight again when i measured this yesterday. It makes me sad but I know I have to at least take steps to get back into fighting form. I am quite worried that the 2000+ money I spend every month for gym membership might go to waste if I do not get serious about this. I have to think of other ways I could get thin, and I probably need to do it fast!

Back to the Gym Again!

Monday, January 04, 2010

Well I've got my bags packed and I am ready to go back to the gym after three long weeks. It has been that long because aside from the holidays which I spent overeating LOL I have gained a lot of weight and I got sick too. I was not in the mood to pump iron or run anymore because I need to recuperate. Good thing I had that short 1 day vacation in Batangas that kept me relaxed and sane. Now I am feeling a lot better. I did not eat dinner a while ago but I bought myself a couple of pieces of bread, a liter of mango juice and some chips to store. It was all nice and got me fed while monitoring my work.

I need to work on my abs hehe... and my big guns of course! I will have to bulk up more so I can beat up people I don't like when I'm walking on the street LOL. I have to also do a hulk thingy with cars and stop them while running haha. I am going to keep my food intake monitored and probably cut down on a lot of things like carb. I need to keep my energy up though.

Aside from that, I am really gearing up towards a healthier lifestyle. I am gonna stay away from smoking and drinking. Which I do occasionally... but I am optimistic that I will achieve all my goals before the year ends. I just did the same this year anyway! I will pray for it just like the ones that came true this year! I hope I get to be more buff this year!

I Want Your Body Your Body Not You!

Thursday, October 01, 2009

Hahahah... Those were the words I heard from the kids playing outside our home one day when I was planning to go to the gym. Since there was a massive blackout in the city and crippled most of the businesses around the metro, I was afraid the gym was also going to be closed. When I passed by, I was surprised they had lights open but only a few people were going in.

When I went up the plight of stairs in the front of Fitness First Eastwood I immediately went to the reception area and paid my dues for next month. I was planning to also work out since they have electricity, but when I asked about their services for the day... I was surprised because they had the equipment running... but they said "Sorry Sir we do not have WATER!".

Whaaaat?! I exclaimed, how am I going to work out after work then? Will I be suffering heat and exhaustion then never get a single drop of water to drink or bathe with?! Why am I paying them a lot for?! They could not even get a decent generator to get their pumps working so we at least get some potable water. Those darn capitalists seem to be still taking advantage of us members. We should get refunds for this! Arrrgh!!! And now here I go again suffering without gym for a week! Sheesh!
