ZIA QUIZON Signs with STAR MUSIC and Releases New Single "RETO NA NAMAN"

Thursday, November 13, 2025

Just got out of the Dolphy theater this afternoon for the launch and contract signing of Zia Quizon who will be now under Star Music. Present during the occasion was Nene Atillano, Jeffrey Vadillo, and Ericson Raymundo of Cornerstone, Roxy Liquigan, Jonathan Manalo and Andy Arellano of Star Music. This is the first time they're also letting us hear her newly released single called "RETO NA NAMAN" which will be under the same label. Zia was in a very positive mood and performed for us too.

Roxy Liquigan says "I remember when we met about a few months ago, and Cornerstone has been a very good partner. Zsazsa thank you for also letting Zia be part of the Star Music family. I miss her, miss her sound."

Jonathan Manalo adds"When you hear her voice, she is her own sound. Welcome to Star Music because we will start to work on your original music which I already got to hear. Wait til we come out with it."

Jeffrey Vadillo says "We have a lot that we can work on, and the hottest music label in the country, partnering with them is just an exciting moment."

Ericson Raymundo says "To partner with Star Music means we can do a lot of things together."

Jungee Marcelo told us "I was wishing for this, after a while she asked to make this song and that was in 2018. I was confident, I got a call from Star, and Zia was the one who presented the song and the one above just knew it's time. The perfect minds just met and it would be wonderful, and everything worked out, I'm glad it is happening. Please do not change, your groove is you, and I haven't seen anyone who can sing like that. Don't second guess yourself because I would want to work more song with you, the world needs to hear you! I hope Reto Na Naman becomes a big hit like the previous releases."

Zia says "There's a lot of things happening in the country, and pressing matters but I'm grateful for those who worked here, my husband and mom is here. I'm just glad to be here! I've been busy with life, my house, getting married, but I remembered a song in 2018 that was sent to me on email. I just went back and searched for it."

She adds "Platforms have really changed, so distributing songs is different. I also listen to new OPM, regional songs, and it's easier to hear songs from other countries and how to mix it. I just try to be open to suggestions and do covers, we'll see what we can do. I was gone for a while but really, I was just busy with life. I just had time now to go and do it, I'm excited to bring joy, entertain people and hopefully it brings joy. My last project is was band centric when I was with my college mates. I really appreciate all the little things they do now, it's a team effort. I'm kinda going back, as folks are ready to rediscover music."

She's also launching a music video tomorrow November 14 around 7pm on YouTube. You can also stream her music on Spotify and available music platforms on Google and the Play store and App Store.

MAKI Hints Full Album Release at BUGHAW Single and MV Launch

Friday, March 14, 2025

One of the nicest songs of this generation I heard was from this artist named Maki. He's gotten a huge following, not surprised because of the quality of the song, but it did have a notion of it being a one hit wonder, til I head the rest of the songs he came out with.

Speaking of which, he just recently released a song called BUGHAW. He also directed the music video, sort of his directorial debut too. This is under Tarsier Records which is under Star Music. They had a launch a few days ago at Matrix in Quezon City. It was quite intimate, with not just his fans in tow because his fellow artists and his whole family went there to support the very talented boy. Angela Ken, his brother Haro and ethereal sounding Dani Zam also performed before him, it was quite a revelation of songs that I haven't heard yet. I felt music in the Philippines had a very bright future after seeing that, no joke.

Here's the part where he got to talk to his fans that evening:

The Zushis, his fan group, all went in throngs to support him. All I heard from them and his family is how he remained humble, down to earth despite the remarkable success he's had for quite a while. He also hinted a full blown album which he plans to release soon, so stay tuned for that. He also wants to create his own short film, preferably Anime themed because he's quite fond of doing the art form. Here's why people adore him, check out the performances that evening on this video:

Make sure you stream his new single, and wait for the full album he plans to release this year.

MRLD's "7th Sense" Album Drops Midnight, Announces Concert Next Month

Thursday, March 06, 2025

If you guys don't know who MRLD is, you should. She's a singer songwriter who hails from Cebu and is making waves on streaming platforms with her hit songs "An Art Gallery Could Never Be As Unique As You", "Ikaw Pa Rin" and "Ligaya". She was also featured by Spotify in New York's Times Square  as one of the most streamed female artists in the country.

She says "I was planning to release a full English album but I didn't feel a spark, this album is about my feelings , for things that I could not explain. It's mine and it is very simple. I already released 4, and the others will be done later this evening. Much of these were written 2 years ago, and it felt right, I had to make an album now. The track list was mixed initially, but I want it to open up minds, that I can carry different genres. Though there are lots of revisions, I had a lot of help from friends to make this happen."

The lead single is Hanggang Magsawa Ka, the longest single she wrote, a little painful, and she hopes you also cry when listening to it. Initially Malayo was supposed to be the carrier single, they just had to listen to everything and it was something they thought of while starting over, it's raw and 6 minutes long.

Listening to it earlier, it felt like an ode, very emotional and soft, all acoustic, hopeful and beautiful.

She wrote it during 12th grade, puppy love, where she gave a person 2 chances, but thing is, she wasn't the one chosen, she wasn't the only one.. the song was made to have her overcome the hurt from it. She's also so glad about her earlier single "An Art Gallery Could Never Be As Unique As You" which has gained traction in Indonesia, one which they even made a Bahasa version too to cater to audiences there.

Her single SAGOT was the one she's super excited to perform because it's the one that she made with her fans in mind. It was for them and it's a bit upbeat, dancing and enjoying it is highly encouraged especially during the concert.

Her concert will happen on April 27th at the SM North Edsa SKYDOME, tickets are still available and she's rehearsing soon for the whole concept. It's going to be a special night with 2 guests being confirmed already.

This is just the start of big things for her, follow OC Records socials to know more about her!

MC Einstein and Queen of RnB KYLA Releases "LAMBALAK" Single

Friday, September 13, 2024

MC Einstein and Queen of RnB KYLA

Looks like RnB songs are making a huge comeback as top hits list them all again in the Philippines. Recently, we had the chance to chat with MC Einstein (artist-songwriter, Ex-Batallion) and the Queen of RnB songs, KYLA at the Cornerstone Studios in Quezon City. They were both excited about this new single they did a duet of called "LAMBALAK", which MC Einstein also wrote and released today.

The actual story of this was quite interesting. They had an out of town event where Yeng Constantino, MC Einstein and a couple of Cornerstone artists were supposed to go. On the day of the flight, Yeng got sick and was rushed to the hospital. They had to have another artist to sing at the event and got KYLA. At the plane, they were seated beside each other and at first, MC Einstein was a little nervous. When all was settled, he mustered up the courage to tell Kyla that he wanted to do a collaboration with her. He's a big fan of that genre and grew up listening to Kyla's songs, so he was just pushing his luck. Little did he know Kyla knew him too because she listened to his songs, and just said "Let's go, when will we record?".

MC Einstein was surprised at how receptive Kyla was. A few calls, going back and forth, he sent Kyla the chorus part of "LAMBALAK" where she only said "Okay so when will we record?!". He was again excited because Kyla didn't even ask for any change in the melody or lyrics, she was just happy to sing it the way MC Einstein wanted it to because Kyla said "It felt like I was listening to the RnB songs I used to sing, it felt like HOME!".

Here's the rest of our interview with them on video, please enjoy!

They will be releasing the song "LAMBALAK" today at 12am and will be doing a live stream on their platforms. Make sure you follow the individual artists pages and Cornerstone Entertainment for more updates about the single's release. We listened to it and loved how sexy it sounded, seriously, you should give it a stream today!

Congratulations MC Einstein and Kyla! Hope this hits the charts today!

Kiana's "Sweet Release" to be seen at Gary V Pure Energy: One Last Time Concert

Friday, May 10, 2024

The upcoming Gary V Pure Energy: One Last Time concert that has been extended this May 10th will be extra special as his daughter Kiana will be performing her newest single called "Sweet Release" on the same night. The last time I saw Kiana performed was during the Avon event where she stamped why she's a force to be reckoned with on stage. She's quite unique, has a different set of vocal styles, and is pretty talented in songwriting too. This particular single though is co-written by Rosemarie Tan and Philippe Dela Pena, and made sure it'll be danceable, more catchy, which will be quite a feat to perform on stage on the 10th.

Kiana attributes this to her best friend and stayed very personal, and wanted this to be more pop, done in Filipino, which she's been doing recently (so watch out for more Tagalog songs from this lady). Kiana says "With this recent Tagalog songs I've been making, I'm really having so much fun! If all else gets done smoothly, I might be able to release a few this year or in 2025."

Currently, Kiana is based in the US and has been successfully performing in different events abroad. She's been heavily cheered miles away by Mom and Dad, and still won a few awards in the PH.

Dad Gary is so proud of what she has accomplished and how she got to draw her own path in the industry. Her performing on stage in the concert would be a good time for him to bond, and miss her, he gets to perform with her while celebrating 40 years in the entertainment industry.

The May 10th date was just something that was teased during the April 27 date, as there were still a LOT of people who wanted to watch it. Proceeds from this will go to Shining Light Foundation and will benefit the needy through this christian organization. There's lots of things you can look forward to in the concert, which I can only describe as WORLD CLASS!

Artist PLUME and SALA Band Join GMA's AltG Records

Wednesday, March 06, 2024

Just got off the press conference with new artists Plume and SALA (the band) over zoom this afternoon. They're a pretty fun bunch to talk to and yes, you kinda feel like you're in the presence of very talented people.

Plume says "I usually write music when its nighttime because it's way quiet. I start with chord progression, then lyrics, if it fits I'll make the chorus and complete it. I listen to other artists, I find good things in it and put my own style. I try to make it comforting and relaxing as possible. Since my work is dedicated to music now, I focus on myself and my hobbies while studying. It's still music in the background so there's still input. I love music like that. It's unusual to do jazzy songs available to everyone, I usually follow that genre, it's what I do to stand out. I also utilize social media to make my work known. I think I'll be doing singles from AltG records. I want people to feel relaxed, hear pop, but learn the words and vibes are different. I feel Baguio's busking music scene is still starting. Manila has a lot of bar tours, I think it's more organized here but I hope Baguio will follow suit soon."

Plume adds "I often seen albums released then sometimes they lose track of it the whole year. I think releasing content in different times would fit me. I listen to a lot of genres, but I prefer metal, the beauty of it is when you removed the angst, the noisy lines, you'll see the nice lyrics on it. I also love classical music, they do inspire me!"

Beautiful is my Plume's first single, and still testing what people would go to after they listened to it. His inspiration is from a personal experience. Right now, he's still trying to feel what happened after signing with AltG Records. He didn't believe it til they started recording.

Sala's frontman says "We do it differently, I could write songs wherever I am, but I finish my songs in my Sala hence our name. I throw it to my peers and do the other parts of the songs afterwards. That's how we do it. Our songs are borrowed experiences and I think it stems from the things that are not often talked about."

"If we have new ideas, we put it in a group chat and contribute there. Since we have different work, different jams and gigs, we try to stay healthy by eating, exercising, if we wanted to do this for a long time we try to do that as much as possible. It is art, and we love it! For us, we're glad to have YT, Spotify, platforms that we can listen to. As a band, arrangements are still a group effort. If it evolves, I don't have to follow that because we have our own message, it's not a problem to do that but we already have 4 pov's in the band and I think that's enough. Things are changing, I think people are releasing songs when there's something consistent to give. People want new things, albums kind of put it in one basket but people have different tastes. This would give artists freedom to test what's good. We want to return to not just making love stories, it should be different topics, even taboo ones, songwriting for the sense of telling them not just invoke feeling, something that people could relate to."

SALA felt that signing with AltG was surreal. The opportunity came at a very shocking moment, and feels they can't think about collaborating with other artists yet as they're not established rock stars. Though they want to do that in the near future. Their single will be out mid March. Plume on the other hand already has his single out, plus a lyric video on YouTube. He also has plans to have a music video out soon, and he's so ready!

Good luck and I hope you all continue to record more! We would certainly love to listen to it with great gusto!

SINOSIKAT's Kat Agarrado Releases New Single "Heart Calling"

Tuesday, February 27, 2024

Looks like the heavens are conspiring when it comes to Kat Agarrado as she attempts another shot with her music. This is still with Sinosikat, a rebuilding, a new start, stemmed by her love for music. She still never thinks about her looks (though she's quite blessed with it), and puts her efforts now in making more songs so a new generation would be able to listen to it. Sinosikat doesn't have permanent band members, it's her instincts that kick in and choose them to play with her, a different setup but works.

Kat says "My goal is to make people listen to timeless pieces, that even when we're old, there's substance, and they can still listen to it. Before I was doing rock elements, but now it's more polished, matured, the arrangements now will have horn sections. My dream is to make Sinosikat a wider audience, a younger one, to put our music in other countries. I want to do that especially when I get to network with bands and producers there, because they appreciate it but just lack exposure. Our music is world class, just like Filipinos.

She adds "I hope to also join more international festivals, and become global. I think the youth now has lots of venues to listen to music, that's good and I would like to do collaborations with artists like Lola Amour, a indie artist named Isla, there's a ton that I see on YouTube. I'm sure they have a lot to offer, fresh ideas to contribute especially for the next singles."

Here's part of the interview we did with her during the launch

Kat continued to write songs about love, about family, a bit slow but she admits just doing it at her own pace. She also does standard songs and do Filipino versions so she wouldn't get rusty. She also writes about her friends, or things she experienced during the pandemic. Though this time, she finds it divine for everything that seemed to fall into place. From Pinoy Soul Records, to Warner Music Philippines, to her own studio, this is her way to help other artists too. This is a new beginning for her, her re-introduction of Sinosikat.

PS Heard the single just now, and I like how groovy it sounded. It's like her being hungry to do more, I would liken it to the music of international girl group "All Saints", but it's only her on vocals. Amazing!

Go stream her new single "Heart Calling" on digital platforms and get smitten with Pinoy Soul all over again. Be part of her fresh start!

MYMP Releases "Di Mo Lang Alam" Under PolyEast Records

Sunday, October 29, 2023

I've been an MYMP fan for a couple of years now. I'm not afraid to admit, I'm obsessed with the acoustic and heartbreaking songs they dished out in past albums, and hearing they're releasing a new single made my MYMP heat quite happy. For starters, they've got sisters Juliet Bahala and Ethyl Bahala singing for the band. This means it's a whole new plethora of music that they're going to do as it won't sound the same if they only had one vocalist. They're already awesome individually and since they're singing together, it's something different which Chin Alcantara welcomes. He says much of their music revolves around the singer, and the recent single they released called "Di Mo Lang Alam" had a more pop hopeful love song vibe. We met them at the SUPERSAM branch here in Scout Tobias in Quezon City.

Juliet is a very spirited songwriter, and she's got more songs in the pipeline which they plan to release in the near future, to hopefully complete an album. They have been working hard after renewing ties with PolyEast Records. The new music will certainly earn them another generation of fans, while hopefully not alienating those who love the previous songs they released. This is what Chin believes is his responsibility as a Producer, and I think he's done a remarkable work with this.

Here's our interview with the band last night, please enjoy!

"Di Mo Lang Alam" was something that has spurred from imagination, funny that it came from a day she forced herself to write. Juliet asserts that much of the upcoming songs they plan to release would be something relatable, with efforts to concentrate on what people go through at a certain stage in their lives. It's also about vulnerability, to allow yourself to muster up the courage to tell the one you love how you feel and the sacrifices you did for them. The band also has plans to make songs in English to cater to those who are outside the country and prefer it in that language. They also don't have concert goals yet, but much of the success they've achieved in the past few years have always been that way, and hopefully, the same happens in the next couple of months.

They do have plans to make a music video for the new single, but for the meantime, you can go to the MYMP Facebook page to know more about where they are regularly performing. The single is now out on Spotify, Deezer, YouTube Music, Apple Music and other streaming platforms where available. You can also head on to the official PolyEast Records social channels to see where MYMP's music is going, because as far as what I've seen last night during their gig, it's going to be awesome!

Here's a little more chat about the time we talked about the health issues that Juliet went through and have been able to overcome,

I'd like to take this bit to thank the men and women from PolyEast Records and the MYMP management who hooked us up so we could talk to them. Again, thank you!

Abby Clutario Releases "Chichi Wo Motomete" Cover Under Alt G Music

Thursday, July 06, 2023

Abby Clutario has just released her newest single, her rendition of Voltes V ending theme "Chichi Wo Motomete". Hers is a very mellow sounding one since she's using a Chapman stick which she has been using in her other singles.

Abby says "I know there are tons of people still asking about it, hopefully I could teach a few people play it in the country. Back then when I talked to the founder, they wanted to put the actual instrument in a physical store, hopefully in the future since it is an investment. I don't teach music on the side and if they like it, they can invest the same way I did. Yes, I did have to push and have the song approved and they saw the video I made a couple months back. We had to tweak it a bit since it was originally sung by a male artist. The version in the episode is done by Matt, hopefully people can see this one especially on radio. I remember manifesting this a couple months back and I am very overwhelmed about the support I get from the AltG recording company, it was hard to find the ownership and license but it all went well especially now that Voltes V Legacy is being shown in the Philippines. I'm super happy when I released this as content a few years back, but the single is a different feeling hearing it air played, my friends really gave me good feedback. It was hard to do it in the original language and glad to see the translations during the time I was recording it. It's about a man longing to find his father and making this ballad was such a perfect fit. I know there are people who want a Tagalog version of it but it's very difficult as the words and phonetics are totally different because the meaning won't be completely told. I had to re-record it and you will see the difference when it comes out."

About the Chapman stick, she says "I've always been into piano but when I held it, it sounded like a Cielo, and I loved how that sounds. This originated in the US, and I got it from a US forum and had to learn it, planned to make it a solo performance when I was still in a band. Now I can make originals and cover songs, my tie ups always include using this relatively not so common instrument. So far, I've never encountered people who don't like it, there are some but it has never affected me, I don't really pay attention especially on social media because I'm a musician and people only ask about music in general."

This cover song by Abby Clutario will be released tomorrow July 7, 2023 on streaming platforms. Go check out Spotify and others to hear what changes she's made on this iconic song. This is again under AltG Records.

LIZZIE AGUINALDO Releases Debut Single "Baka Pwede Na" Under Star Music

Saturday, June 03, 2023

She's just starting but everything seems to be falling into place, that's how I see Lizzie Aguinaldo. She just recently released her debut single "Baka Pwede Na" composed by multi awarded songwriter and director Joven Tan. This is under Star Music.

Lizzie says "I hope this song will be something that people would play whenever they feel giddy, in love, or even when they remember that special someone in their life, particularly those in my generation. I love how  simple Direk Joven Tan made this song, and I hope people feel the whole vibe of my first single."

She adds "I've been dreaming of becoming a singer ever since I was 8, and recording "Baka Pwede Na" and the whole experience is unbelievable! It's a mix of being nervous and excited, I was already thinking of having this be a movie soundtrack. I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to do this now! My school fully supported me, I was shocked they put up a billboard on our school, and I was so happy to see that. I must say, even though I don't have experience in relationships, I think I made the connection with the crushes I had in the past. It was a nice process because Direk Joven made the song so fast, I think we only took 2 weeks to record it. I do write songs, but haven't had the chance to release that. I do have formal training, I actually have my voice coach here right now. I get inspired with Taylor Swift songs, even OPM bands, I love listening to them as well. I love Zack Tabudlo and his songs, I hope to get to work with them soon."

Direk Joven Tan says "Lizzie already had a huge range when we first met, and I'm quite sure she'll hone this even more in due time, it'll be easy to work and develop which is why when they recommended her to me, I immediately said yes and worked with her."

"Baka Pwede Na" is available on streaming platforms now so make sure to download or stream it and see why there's so much promise for the young Caviteña. Just search for Lizzie Aguinaldo on Spotify!

Congratulations Lizzie! Can't wait to see you appear in shows here and around the globe! By the way, the event was supported by Lucky Prince Homes which Lizzie Aguinaldo is also an endorser of.

KELVIN MIRANDA Set to Release Single Called "Sumayaw" Soon

Monday, October 31, 2022

H
e's one of the coolest looking guy in GMA's stable, and this time he's raring to release a new single under GMA Music. We got first dibs about his latest venture into singing and it'll be called "SUMAYAW" for one or more reasons. It's also his next level foray into his singing career which he'd love to continue especially these times when he can make a track in between shows.

Kelvin says "I've been busy working on this new single "Sumayaw" lately, and this was made specifically for those who are undergoing challenges in life. It's about not dwelling on the problems and concentrating on moving forward instead. It's not about dancing per se, but a metaphor of being carefree despite life's setbacks, to go with the flow even if it feels the world is about to end. It also is about living in the now, which we tend to forget a lot these days. We need to give time for ourselves, for the things that make us happy. This has a faster tempo than my previous single.

SUMAYAW will be released this coming November 18, and he's as excited as you are so make sure you follow GMA Music's social channels to get updates about the good looking guy.

Jessica Villarubin Releases "Ikaw Lang Ang Iibigin"

Friday, September 23, 2022

Jessica Villarubin won The Clash 2 years ago. She's dedicating this new song to her future love, for the people that continue to support her so we asked a few questions during the launch of her single "Ikaw Lang Ang Iibigin" which is out now. She's done Queendom numbers in AOS and has been trending for quite a number of weeks.

Jessica says "I am thankful that I'm part of Queendom, it's just so nice to feel that I'm part of those who really excell in singing. It's a great honor, and people love our performances. The work we do there is like sharing things, we do songs and ask each other how to do it better. People see that and in real life, we're happy about the reviews of our portion. They love our performances and it all starts from that. I remember doing Free Your Mind with Hannah, Thea, and it's an upbeat song, I love that a lot. I also want to do theater, I also want to do other genre because I've always been doing ballads. I have a voice coach, I'm still learning. It's a different kind of training and with my seniors sing, it's different and I want to learnt the ropes and sing like them as well. My current single was composed by Vehnee Saturno. His songs have been hits -  done with different artists and it's a dream come true for any artist to do his songs. Among the songs that I listend to, I connected well with "Ikaw Lang Ang Iibigin". I have performed in Dubai, my concert in Cebu, the opportunities coming to me are experiences that I treasure today. I play instruments, I dance a little and want to do workshops. I want to practice more of that and I'd want that to happen soon. I feel I need to still work on my low notes, I admit I still have to learn a lot and practice so I could focus more on the craft. I want to sing a song for StartUp and I've seen that series, I've watched the Korean version of it and it would be an achievment if I could do that. Yes, there is a pressure to want to prove you're a good singer, because you have to believe in yourself, you use it to better your craft and be inspired with it."

She adds "Even if I'm busy I want to be with my parents, I love them and I always say I want to work for them so they could just rest, and my wish to become a singer has come true. "

Her single "Ikaw Lang Ang Iibigin" is now out on digital streaming platforms so make sure you download and stream the single, she's one good lass.

CALISTA Undergoes Tough KPOP Dance Training for New Single

Thursday, August 25, 2022

After having a very successful "VAX TO NORMAL" Concert a few months ago, Calista is relentless in making sure they're taking their skill game seriously as they undergo a full blown KPOP Dance training from world renowned KPOP choreographers Park Ji Yeon and Lee Eun Kyung.

The two have been spending hours upon hours training Anne, Dain, Laiza, Elle, Denise and Olive new choreography for their 2nd single which will be coming out soon. What was evident was the difference between what they've been dishing out in the past (which according to the choreographers was explosive and powerful). The KPOP style they're teaching CALISTA this time is going to be cute, feminine, sultry and playful. This surely will be something quite different to present to A-listas who have been supporting them since day 1. We got to see them in a press conference they held at the Tyronne Escalante Artist Management offices in Quezon City, and sure enough, we got to talk with them about the things they went through to make this possible. Head honcho Tyronne Escalante says "We listened to A-listas, PPOP, iPOP fans and asked about who would be the perfect fit to teach them new skills, and I think we've got the right people to do it."

Here's part of the press conference which happened last Saturday.

CALISTA admitted it was really hard for both parties in the beginning because the language barrier. Good thing is, they have watched so many KDrama shows and understood some of the words they uttered during the training. Then they had us see a part of the things they've been working on for the second single of CALISTA called "Don't Have Time" composed by Tera and produced by Marcus Davis who also did their debut single "Race Car".

To give you an idea, Lee Eun Kyung and Park Ji Yeon has worked with different artists and groups like Aster, ERICA, WTF Den Team, Seoul Land, the MBC Show Musical Fantasy, Hwang JinLea, Elec Cooke, artists Yeon-ja Seojin Park, Ri Chang Wook and even one of our faves 2NE1. With regards to their performance after our press conference, let me just say they really look and felt different with the KPOP moves they learned from these talented ladies. The girls of CALISTA also promised they'll make sure that even after the training, they'll be mixing in some of the PPOP moves that CALISTA is known for so it wouldn't be entirely foreign, some of that Filipino flavor everyone is looking for.

Congratulations to CALISTA, their producer Merlion Events Production Inc. and Tyronne Escalante Artist Management, people will love this new look, flavor and skills you've instilled with the girls. A-listas should be ready for this!

Arra San Agustin Releases "Hanggang Dito Na Lang"

Tuesday, July 26, 2022

Versatile actress, singer and Starstruck alumnus Arra San Agustin just released a new single under GMA Playlist called "Hanggang Dito Na Lang". It's a very emotional song that discusses how to deal with a heartbreak, not just from love and relationships, but also friendships. She wants to delve into this genre a little bit more than usual as she just got off from a long term relationship, it was apt, sort of perfect timing. She's in a different place now, very much in love. She tells us a little bit more about it during a blogcon this morning.

Arra says "The genre and emotions of the song was talked between us and the team, I wanted something that was a little hurtful, emotional, I've sung several songs for The Lost Recipe and Madrasta. I thought about sad songs, I want it melancholic, not just romantic relationships, but friendships. If things doesn't go the way we planned, this song personifies that. I personally don't just look at words or music, I want something that I can feel, something that can make us feel alive. I've been in relationships, this was apt for that. But now, I'm happily in love. I was doing voice lessons when I was a kid, it was really something I wanted to do since then. I think I've been influenced by Avril Lavigne, a lot of early 2000 artists, and indie too."

She adds "I would want to learn more, to enhance and improve myself more in creating music, I have more room for improvement and I'm willing to commit for that. I want to explore this genre I'm doing, I want to also do more emotional ones, but focus on this one so we can master it. The GMA Playlist team was very open to suggestions, I'm grateful because singers get pushed from their boundaries, they really get us involved a lot with that. They want us to do that. I really didn't expect to sing teleserye songs, when I was starting it really wasn't in the bucket list, but anything I do was because I had a lot of people who believe in me. They put us into that milestone, I used to freak out knowing that I'd be doing it here, or if I deserve it, and get it published on streaming platforms, but it is so worth it. The difference now with this single is that I'm more confident, I am also supported by my team, who want to listen, help me achieve more. Singing is something I love, I have to practice more so I plan to have voice lessons still. GMA offers that, and I'm glad they do that in preparation for other things we can do. For now I want to perform live, in an intimate setting. I want to feel how it is to do that in a small gathering."

If you're in love and want something that pulls heartstrings, go stream her song on streaming platforms. You can pre-order now and stream it on Friday, see why she's doing great in teleseryes and now, a whole new singing career in front of her. Congratulations Arra!

MARIANE OSABEL (The CLASH Season 4 Champ) Releases New Single "Pira Piraso"

Friday, July 22, 2022

Grand Champion of The Clash Season 4 Marian Osabel just released her new single "Pira Piraso" under GMA Music.

Mariane says "This is worth the wait, I am glad that my supporters are happy about the single, and now, it's on number 3 on iTunes. Hopefully I'd be able to release another one this year. This song is about when a person gets a bad day, I reflect on the lyrics of my song "Pira Piraso" at the part where it says "Kaunti pang pasensys, kaunti pang panahon". I really enjoy music, I go to different places in the country now because of it, this is what I enjoy, music and travel. I am open to the thought of doing acting gigs, I did a workshop last March, hopefully I'd be able to do it soon because it is exciting and challenging. This song is also about loving someone fully, not in pieces. A thing I would advise newcomers, aspiring singers, is to TRY, don't second guess, because even if you lose, you learn something from it. I did that until I did succeed. As an artist, I put out my feelings in my music. It's a place to vent out, I write and sing that way. I am really happy now, I'm with someone that I could give my 100%, my capacity to love."

Mariane admits, this is about a failed love which she personally has experienced. I'm glad she got over it and is having the time of her life with someone special.

This single is now out on iTunes, Spotify and other streaming platforms so if you love hear dearly, show your support by downloading or streaming copies of it legally. Congratulations Mariane! You deserve all the success!

PSALMS DAVID Releases New Single "KAULAYAW"

Tuesday, June 28, 2022

Psalms David is like a breath of fresh air. He's like a good guy, someone who doesn't have to be a baddie to get liked and I've noticed that since I've interviewed him a couple years back during the pandemic. He's launching a new single called "Kaulayaw" which he made at that time.

Psalms say "This was done a couple years ago, I slaved on it every night. I think I still have a lot of things to work on with my voice, I believe practice is best. I also need to improve with my tone, I'll do my best to keep getting better. I have been my own best bud during times that I had mental health issues. Music was something that helped me a lot and when I produce music, it makes me feel a lot better. I also have worked with some of the best people in the industry, Kaulayaw wasn't like this at the start. I had help with GMA Music in order to make it what it is today. They helped me do the music, the instrumental part, they're really great at that. I didn't really go through love and relationships to come out with the lyrics, it can be anything really, like your parents, your friends, even yourself. It was tough for me at times because I was the breadwinner, my career just started and the pandemic restrictions was not letting us perform on stage which was a huge bummer. Of course I love acting too, it's been three years since I've done workshops, hopefully it would be great to show everyone what I've done in that department. I'm excited to show that to everyone!"

The new song comes out on June 30, make sure you download it off Spotify and other streaming platforms. He hopes to help people get over their issues with it, so give it a stream okay? This is under GMA Music.

Jeric Gonzales Releases New Single HIHINTAYIN KITA

Thursday, March 10, 2022

That good looking tall guy with boy next door looks and fit physique just isn't stopping in his game. Jeric Gonzales just recently released his new single "Hihintayin Kita" (I'll wait for you), a sad ballad written by Direk Louie Ignacio for the movie he's also in (which will come out soon). It was written specifically for it and was inspired by the story, it was only while they were working on set that Direk said he'll be singing the theme song for it, so he was quite surprised.

Here's our interview with Jeric this afternoon, enjoy!

While I was talking to him, he distinctly remembers the time when he did the front act for legendary David Pomeranz when he did a concert in Quezon a few years back. He also mentioned how he always make it a point to connect with the women being paired with him so when they do intimate scenes, he wouldn't cause them to be uncomfortable when they're with him. He also affirms that he doesn't fall in love with the beautiful women being paired with him as he's very professional. I'm so glad hearing that.

Anyway, if you're a fan or just want to hear new music, check out Jeric Gonzales' music on streaming platforms available worldwide. He's a very nice chap.
