Order Medicine Online via MyPharma

Tuesday, June 08, 2021

These troubled times have made me realize how important it is to teach non techie family members how to communicate, navigate themselves and discern information on the internet. Aside from that, they also need to go to reputable sites if in case they decide to buy essentials and I've been doing this extensively in my household because #1 I'm the only one going out most of the time and #2 It would be easier to have it delivered to my home rather than driving to and from my house (and the hassle of going through all that traffic in Manila).

One of the nicest places to go to is MyPharma.ph wherein over the counter and essential medicines can be purchased all from the comforts of your home. No more long lines, no more unwanted travels, all your medicines can be delivered straight to your door. The company backed by Dygen Pharma which already has an established distribution arm in the country. Best of all, they also have Facebook and Instagram channels so you can simply turn to them in case you get into any difficulties ordering from the site. You may register via https://mypharma.ph/register and create an account, with  your information safe, it would be seamless to get your orders sourced, picked up and delivered to your home which means there's less human intervention, safer overall.

MyPharma also prides itself on delivering orders safely and on time. They also make sure the items are securely packed, with delivery details indicated on the site so you know when your orders will arrive. That's so convenient and really ideal for those who are prefer to be at the safety of their homes like us.

This would be so good for those with comorbidity and need maintenance medicine so you would have less exposure (like me).

Ascof Lagundi Showcases ‘Biyenan’ A Family Story Online

Friday, September 22, 2017

You've always seen them be portrayed on Philippine cinema as the main antagonist, mean, and puts most of the husbands and wives in situations often left not discussed over family dinners. Being a very matriarchal country, we often see the "In-laws" as not so good news and it does happen in real life. Albeit controversial to be a topic, Ascof Lagundi takes this to a short film directed by prolific film maker Chris Cahilig who won awards for ECHORSIS a few weeks ago. This film is called BIYENAN, a film that talks about two women of different generations, raising kids, our family culture and our boundaries.

Being a matriarchal nation, we take respect to another level with our Grandmas. It's even common here to live with them sometimes and that takes a lot. They do have a say with raising children, as they ultimately have their safety in mind. You should find out how these women Jenny and Marita clash inside their home, to see if spoiling the kids or disciplining them would provide conflict. It is played by Dalin Sarmiento and veteran actress Lui Manansala.

How far should one go to do something about raising their children? When does it get overboard? Is it the right thing to do? How would your kids feel? When do you tell them to stop? When do you start to reconnect and respect each other?

Biyenan” would make you answer those questions and realize, that in some way, you are actually doing the same thing. You have the kids in mind and you only know what's best for them. Their health would get Ascof Lagundi in the mix, and perhaps make them know how to take good care of them when they've got cough related concerns and fix it in a jiffy.

Ascof Lagundi has helped countless Filipinos with their cough remedy. It's one of the safest way to relieve cough and bronchial asthma and “Biyenan” showcases that too. You may watch the full version of the short film at the Ascof Lagundi Facebook page. Or maybe, you can watch the embedded video below.

Isn't it a heartwarming story? Start sharing this on your Facebook accounts, you may find the post here and tell us how you feel after watching it.

Meet Dr. Luzyl Tan: UE Dentistry's Latest Board Topnotcher

Monday, July 06, 2015

Dr. Luzyl Tan, proud UE homespun Dentist and Board Topnotcher

It doesn't come easy to be on the top. It needs hard work, perseverance, skill and a whole lot of luck. When we heard that the latest board topnotcher was a lass from University of the East, we couldn't help but be proud of what she has accomplished. The Professional Regulation Commission released the results and announced that 278 out of 628 passed the May 2015 Dentist Licensure Examination for the Written Phase and 294 out of 295 passed the Dentist Licensure Examination for the Practical Phase. This was supervised and given by the Board of Dentistry in Manila last June 2015.

What's even great news is that we even had Dr. Klaudeen Arianne Rosales and Dr. Janine Kristel De Leon included in the top 10. UE has been consistently performing quite well as far as the medical science goes and what's funny is that people from our school tend to even treat it as a normal phenomenon when someone does land in the top spot. What does it take to get there? What do you think is special about the school? We got those questions answered by the Dr; Luzyl Tan herself, she's University of the East's latest board topnotcher.

Dr. Luzyl Tan's proud parents are Rafael and Luzvilla. He was a former manager of an oil company while her mom worked as a former supervisor for Fortune Tobacco. She's got an elder brother who works for DILG, an older sister who's a professor in UP Diliman (also studying Masters for Civil Engineering) and her younger sister just recently graduated BS Chemistry from the same school, all quite accomplished. Her Dad just wished to have a doctor in the family but Luzyl didn’t want to go through the long years of Medicine. That led her to choose dentistry instead. She wasn't sure about taking this course but when she excelled during her pre-dentistry years, she thought maybe this was her destiny. She also got free tuition fee because of the scholarships and that encouraged her a lot to give her best. She laments "I chose University of the East because I heard that it was the best dental school and with all honesty, I think the school really prepared me well to become a dentist, and it is because of the very difficult journey that every student will have to experience."

To whom do you attribute your success?

I attribute my utmost gratitude to our Almighty God for blessing me with knowledge, wisdom and technical skills that helped me all throughout this course, for comforting me whenever I’m anxious of the future, and for answering my prayers. Indeed, when we put our faith in Him, He will do the rest. I would also like to extend my appreciation to those who financially helped me finish dental school, namely, the University of the East Scholarship, the UE-Tan Yan Kee Foundation, the Lucio Tan Groups of Company and the Philippine Dental Association. May they continue to bless those, who are in need of financial support, and help each youth fulfill their greatest dream of attaining quality education. Unquestionably, my family did not only support me in my chosen career path but also made me who I am today. To  all my friends, classmates, professors, fellow Achiever’s Council of Excellence and Dentistry Student Coucil, you have not only shared your instruments, materials, notes, logs and  assistance to me but you have also believed that I can achieve this success.

What do you think is the reason why you got first place?

Graduating with honors is what I initially aimed for but graduating top of the class, more so, topping the recent board exam was beyond what I expected. The determination to do my best for the said board exam was influenced by people around me. The expectations from my professors, classmates and family pushed me to study hard. I believe that to be top 1, you need a lot of hard work and blessing from God since the board examination consists of the theoretical phase and practical phase. A good study habit really helps a student for reviewing the theoretical part while a lot of practice and God’s help for the practical phase.

What are your study habits? What do you think could help future board takers from our school?

I believe that diligence can get you to a lot of places. I always say to my friends, “di ako matalino, masipag lang.” (I am not smart, I just work really hard!) I always rewrite my notes and make handouts before every exam. It is very tedious and time consuming but it helps me in memorizing and remembering important topics. It also serves as a summary of all the lessons that I could eventually use for the final examination. I find it easier to understand and recall lessons by rewriting notes. Since dentistry needs a lot of memorization, I usually write the word of the disease or the muscle’s origin and insertion repeatedly. It indeed helped me survive dentistry.

What's the most difficult part of the exam?

The hardest part of the board exam for me was definitely the practical phase. I know for myself that complete denture on live patients is my waterloo. Complete denture is a prosthesis of the upper and lower teeth. I even had no patient a week before the exam due to external factors which greatly contributed to my anxiety. But by God’s grace, I was able to get a patient days just before the exam.

How do you think UE helped in getting you there?

I extend my deepest gratitude to the University of the East College of Dentistry for preparing me to become a dentist. We have a good set of professors who generously, unselfishly impart their knowledge and expertise. Their passion in teaching and meticulous evaluation motivated and at the same time challenged us to do better. Moreover, the school’s clinical requirements that we worked hard for, trained us to execute procedures quickly while ensuring refined quality work. In the process, it also honed us to be extremely patient and industrious. All of which, I believe are qualities that dentists must be equipped with.

In behalf of the Red Tribe, we would like to congratulate Dr. Luzyl Tan, Dr. Klaudeen Arianne Rodriguez Rosales, Dr. Janine Kristel Medina De Leon and the rest of the Dentists that have made University of the East proud. Your achievements are solid proof of what the warriors can achieve when they put hard work, diligence and their mind on it. We hope you would continue to inspire more people, students who are still in the university who will soon take the same path as you did. It's no ordinary feat and we only wish that you would all continue to make UE and the country proud. Thank you also to Dr. Luzyl Tan for allowing us to share her story so we could let others know how she achieved her dreams, and embolden more UEnians in the future.

Dr. Hayden Kho, Dr. Edinell Calvario for "Healing Galing" on TV5

Thursday, January 22, 2015

Healing Galing Hayden Kho

Have you heard of "Healing Galing"? It's that famous eastern medical show heard on radio by no other than Dr. Edinell Calvario. It's now going to be on TV and she's going to be joined by the good looking Dr. Hayden Kho. He says "We are going to talk about Eastern and Western Medicine. We'll be having discussions on natural alternative medicine mine would be classic western. There's only one show of this kind in the other channel but we're going to have case studies and we'll talk about it, like two ways of assessing problems. I'll talk to doctors, treatments and she'll present alternative medicine. It'll be closer to The Doctors which is a show in the US. It's already a successful radio show and I'm co hosting on TV. I think they think it's easier for a doctor to talk to another doctor. Sometimes it's not easy to interpret things, jargons, and I'm going to be giving you layman's terms. If we have conflicts, there will always be middle ground.

Healing Galing Hayden Kho

That includes cancer therapies, and we'll show their options. We'll see on what will fit with both cases and we'll invite doctors on the show. There are tons of specialists, we're not going to have the monopoly here. We're going to have opinions from doctors themselves and the patients. We're going to be a balance of both worlds. It's going to start this January 19, thirty minutes, there might be some personal and emotional things in between, we'll still talk about that. As much as possible we're going to try to be generic, but we can't help if there are sponsors. I think if anything, it will fortify my knowledge.

Healing Galing Hayden Kho

I was in a limbo for several years and I'll be refreshed here, people will seem me again as a doctor. I hope I can get to be a contribution to the show as this is a blessing for me. The very fact that we invite them to the show, we're humbling ourselves to experts. We honor the limits of our knowledge. We adore experienced doctors and we're going to translate the jargons so people would better understand it." He adds "I had hesitations accepting the show in the beginning because I didn't want to go back to show business, although I wasn't specific about that. I asked how long the show would last and they told me all about it. It was feasible to do with the other things that I want to do. I'm glad to say my fragrances are going to be nationally distributed via Ever Bilena and that's my entrepreneurial side, other investments are there. I want to also go back to anti aging medicine and take the boards  again. Evangelism is of course my priority." and he hopes you get to watch the show on TV5!

Fat Or Obese Is Okay, Exercise Is Medicine

Wednesday, September 03, 2014

Dr. Mark Stoutenberg and Dr. Rodolfo Florentino

I'm not the healthiest guy out there and my idea of "exercise" is just a few kilograms of dumbbells. I thought too that I was already doomed because I know how big I was. Lo and behold Dr. Mark Stoutenberg Ph.D. MSPH brings me good news that clinical studies in the US has proven that there is no clear amount information to claim - that being overweight or obese would mean you''ll die early. Being in that state has no relation whatsoever in the mortality rate. We listened very carefully about the study and the reasons behind it.

Unbelievable? Well no, because actually it does make sense. It doesn't mean when you are bigger, you would die easily. No matter what shape or size you are, just as long as you keep the activity intense and on a regular basis... then you might just even live longer than naturally thin people. In the US, they have computerized their database and have found out in a couple of questions that there's no clear correlation between having higher weight to having heart attack or death. That was their conclusion after checking their records and seen how the value of involving a healthier lifestyle for someone be a great catalyst to make someone's condition better than when not doing it at all.

"Exercise Is Medicine" or EIM is an international initiative for physical activities whose goal is to ultimately promote the the skill to health professionals and practitioners and make it a vital measure for disease prevention and management. EIM might be new in the Philippines but most do not know how it's been in existence in over 40 countries, 7 Regional Centers in North America, Latin America, Europe, Southeast Asia, China, Africa and Australia. It's officially their first year in the Philippines and together with their international partners like Coca Cola Philippines, they have been working hard to involve the different groups, professionals that are health care practitioners, some research scientists, to physical fitness experts and make them in touch with the future development and evaluation of EIM in the country.

Training sessions were also done by EIM Philippines last August 28th and 29 for 12 Doctors and 6 Fitness professionals. The activity would be just a start so people from both industries would meet eye to eye when recommending regimens and exercise programs and know what the others would do in their respective professions. The deal is, they want this to be the possible outcome for every recommendation from Doctors. They also need to include workout regimen and programs that would fit every patient needs without getting conflicting ideas from other fitness professionals, making it safer and better for the end user, YOU.

The possibility of working out at least 150 minutes with moderate intensity and of aerobic nature is achievable for ordinary people, I could use some of that too. Dr. Florentino says it will have a significant impact in someones life. By then, 300 minutes of it would be doubly better and will get you to achieve more. To know more about how EIM can work for you, check out their channels below.

Switch & Save with Watsons Generics

Saturday, August 09, 2014

We went to Manila Peninsula a few days ago to attend an event. I was mistaken to think this was only going to be a talk because as soon as I entered the ballroom... all I saw was medical facilities. Shocked as I was, I went ahead and got my Blood Sugar and Blood Pressure checked. I also got an appointment with the Doctor for Family Medicine. Now, I think I already knew what I was under from the last checkup in December. The thing is, it's gotten worse. Not so great news to start this but since I'm advised to take maintenance drugs already, I'm not too keen in spending a lot for it just like most Filipinos. Good thing, there's Watsons Generics now.

Dr. Anthony Leachon explained the Philippine health condition. He showed the demographics on how poverty and distance from Manila makes it a higher percentage to have heart problems, cancer and other diseases because there's no infrastructure for prevention. Patients with inadequate health literacy also are more likely to be hospitalized too because most patients would rather not listen to doctors. He also said the public and private section should help health causes, he's glad that Watsons and SM Foundation has done this today.

Health and Business Director of Watsons Danilo Chiong, says they are launching Watsons Generics would make medicines affordable, make consumers aware about health and providing a wide range of quality choices. Watsons also continue to train frontliners so they can be experts also to offer patient counseling and do blood pressure checks. They are also going to do health events like the one I went through, hopefully to become accessible to more Filipinos.

Undersecretary Teodoro Herbosa says "We are now looking at a healthier future for Filipinos, and we are investing on the citizenry especially the poor. We are doing governance reforms for hospitals, upgrade health facilities and improve policies, regulations and sector management. All these are being done un DOH and PhilHealth". The SIN taxes really helped fund services for the poor and give a greater budget for PhilHealth making better and standardized payments for more common illnesses and giving more focus to Filipinos.

Lorna Tolentino also adds that it's important to have affordable medicine because not everyone can get it easily. She also believes the 150 years of experience that Watsons has just speaks how much they care for the health and well being of people around the world. Edu Manzano says that there are only a few brands that he believes in because endorsing it would mean being one with them. He believes in Watsons.

Now there's more choices for quality medicines right inside every Watsons store near you. It's got the Watsons Generics brand on it so you are sure you're getting the best quality for the money you buy.

Move On Because Scars Are Gone With Contractubex

Wednesday, January 29, 2014

Admitting I am not flawless probably won't surprise you. Yes, just like some people you know I do have my scars. Scars are marks, they can disappear... and some stay quite permanently. We didn't have science help that much years ago and everything was mumbo jumbo. We had one solution later on but surgery costs thousands of dollars. Then we met Contractubex, I didn't know some scars could have been healed faster and completely disappear by using this.

Meet Ms. Cheska Garcia - Kramer and her daughter Claire Kendra Kramer. They are both gorgeous and Mom Cheska always made it a point to take care of her kids skin. With the kids active life, she can't always look after them when they are out at play or when she's at work. They told us a story when Kendra scratched her knee during play and got it healed first. After that, they applied Contractubex on the area and it's almost invisible now. So did Cheska when she got scars from having Cesarian operations giving birth to her cute kids. The little man was there too, he was too cute I tell you!

Cheska says they've been using the brand even before they got the endorsement. It was quite nice to see that fate probably has something to do with this event. Their family is so tight, they always wanted the best for their kids and taking care of them with the best way possible is how they want it to be. A little research shows that Contractubex is effective for abrasions, cuts, lacerations, operations, burns/scalds, laser treatments and even those affected by tattoo removal. It is mostly recommended for scars that are mostly on top of the dermis and not concave looking ones according to the rep from Contractubex.

Now, it's time to move on with your life and LIVE IT! The scars can only tell a story, now there's a solution to even rid of it and make your skin back to flawless state. Who wouldn't want that right? Your loved ones deserve to have the best. Living it without haste, without being too shy about your skin is something everyone want and need. It's easy getting this tube and putting it on your scar, but the happiness that you'll get is insurmountable. If you have scars now, you know what to do.

Grab a tube, it's worth it. I'm already applying it to two scars and I'm seeing and feeling its effects. You don't have to suffer, check the channels below and see how it will make your life different. Definitely better!

Medicine Within Reach

Saturday, October 01, 2011

Health is very important and there is no argument with that. If one or more of your family members would go through all the drama and complications of getting sick I'm sure you'll be worried as I am. Sleepless nights, medical bills, problems acquiring medicine and insurance brouhahas are all but a normal thing when this happens. How would you be able to cope? What particular things do you need to do to get what you need to be better? Maybe there are online canadian pharmacy institutions like CANADADRUGCENTER.COM who can do an amazing job addressing your pharmaceutical needs. It's what we need at these times and we should never put our relatives or ourselves in harms way. Time is of the essence and you wouldn't want to make a simple cough or cold into something horrible the next day. That's just not good for anyone no matter how you put it.

I've got my first degree relatives go through diabetes and heart conditions. Imagine how common the word stroke is to me and my siblings. It's not getting me nervous on some occasions because I hear it quite common. My Uncle in Winnipeg, Manitoba could get it in a jiffy if he wants to buy plavix. It's almost as easy as ordering take out pizza. Those blood clots and bypass surgeries don't have to happen anymore pretty soon with the medication. Some women also get osteoporosis later on in life but that can be easily remedied by products we can purchase on line. Thank the one above to that it's easy to buy actonel through reputable pharmacies like them. It's a whole lot better than going through the arduous task of going directly to pharmacies in the outskirts of one state or another. If we need it now then it's but right to have it now. I wouldn't want it to be otherwise just like you.

Healthy Meals to Get Buff!

Thursday, May 05, 2011

I've been working out for the longest time and the gym expenses that I have accumulated might have already equaled a single visit to the plastic surgeon to get liposuction. That never entered my mind because I want to stay all natural. The need to workout outweighs my urge to do cosmetic procedures done and even at this particular weight level that I'm in I still consider it healthy. With the proper diet and exercise regimen I know I would be able to do it. I've been trying to get a Vin Diesel physique so I need some protien bars to keep me fit without worrying about too much calorie/sugar intake before working out. I love how it somehow suppresses hunger so I eat 4 - 5 small meals rather than starving myself and go to an eat all you can spree in lunch or dinner. I've seen remarkable improvement and it shows that I am gaining mass rather than pure flabby fat. Once I cut back on calorie intake this might get me started on a designed circuit training + running program so I can achieve my goals. I've been drinking chocolate - vanilla protein shakes too before and after workout. I get that extra energy I need when lifting weights while pushing myself to the limit.

If I get to the desired weight that I want to be I'll stop lifting heavy stuff and concentrate on resistance training and running so I'd lose my gut. It's one problem area that most of us on this side of the world always had a problem with. The starchy rice diet isn't helping either so I would probably stop that or try other meals like high fiber crackers or saltines if needed be. I'll try and see what I can do to keep my energy up without getting too much calorie intake or fatty foods in the recipes I prepare at home. I will take this one day at a time and in a few years I'll surely get to where I want my body to be. Much like the guy I want to look like in the movies.

I'd like to be the one who gets the girl in the end too! =)

They Must Be Crazy!

Sunday, April 10, 2011

The actual reason why I named my site in such a way is because some people think I'm crazy. I self diagnosed with bipolar disorder. I am extremes since when I feel depressed; my whole world collapses. If I am happy I can turn gray ones into clowns. People have been telling me that I should still seek professional help. I actually did but they said I'm normal so let's not spend too much time on that issue. I am worried though because there are people who take medications for psychological conditions that is really harmful. Imagine pregnant women having irreversible birth defects, unusual bleeding here and there, vertigo, hallucinations and a lot more horrible things that can happen upon intake of it. I would never recommend it to any of my relatives or friends and if I have to I'd participate in depakote lawsuit then say my piece against the medicine. The bad effects obviously outweigh the good and if I were in their shoes, I'll never even think about it.

It is horrible that babies could just die like that. How could they still prescribe this legally? Life is so precious; and if someone who undergoes depression needs it but later on gets the horrible effects that would be so appalling! What would you do if you were in that situation? Would you still take the bitter pill if it would cost the life of your child? I know you know the answer to that question.

Wishful Thinking

Thursday, March 31, 2011

I wanted to pursue a medical career when I was a kid but I always ended up in the wrong side of the story because I was always hospitalized. I get sick most of the time and that turned out to be one of the signs that I was destined to be a Computer Engineer. I was happy to say the least but almost all my cousins are nurses. I'm the only one based in the Philippines and they ended up in Canada, US or Australia. I wanted to wear nursing uniforms even before puberty because I wanted to end up practicing medicine professionally. That's how obnoxious I was even before the thought dissipated in college. That would have been neat to see me in white. I still like daydreaming about people calling me Doctor Ha-ha!

Today, seeing my cousins having families of their own and an illustrious career out of it I sit and wonder what could have happened if I pursued it?! I may have been one of the most successful pediatrician or neurological doctors that the Philippines have produced. I always end up buying them cheap scrubs for Christmas but they never knew I was thinking of wearing one too. I did that a couple of years ago when there was a fad wearing them just for kicks. I secretly wished to wear them all just for fashion purposes but deep inside it was clinging on to me. I wish there was some way I could have time to learn another course and get a medical degree. I would like to help a lot of people and be like some of my successful relatives who have money to spend and still have time of their family. I want to see myself wear nursing scrubs not just for kicks, but live life with a purpose. Wouldn't anyone want that?! =)

Too Much Party!

Thursday, February 04, 2010

I was drunk this morning and obviously I haven't had any sleep yet. Everything hurts from my head to toe. I did not know of any pain relievers I could get because apart from that experience; my tonsils and back aches from working out in the gym came back because I partied hard last night. I was thinking I could go back to my doctors in the orthopedic hospital in Manila and get that necessary therapy I need to at least ease some of it off. It would majorly include tramadol and some creams that contain steroids because the general part of the left side of my back is the culprit of why I could not sleep that much in the first place.

I heard people can buy tramadol without prescription so that is probably what I should do like most over the counter medicines. It is going to be slightly problematic to do that in this side of the world because in my neighborhood the eastern stores who sell western medicine usually charge a couple of percentages higher than the usual. Good thing there are places like TRAMADOLBLUEBOOK.COM where I could check and get the lowest price possible. I need to see and compare them on the site so I could have the best deal of course!

I find that there are more stores within city limits that sell this a little less and if I buy online tramadol it would be much cheaper in these types of pharmacies. I think I should go ahead and try that now instead of lashing out on something that would not work under these circumstances. I need to work and I am not able to move that much around the office. I was in a meeting earlier but I could not move that much for a presentation. I almost lost my employees in translation. My boss was a little annoyed too because I did look sick when I got in the office. I am the one suffering and the immediate cure of this pain is inevitable. Once I get this to soothe the pain I know everything will be alright!
