Better Tougher Phones, Wearables at Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2025

We took a trip to Rockwell as Samsung showed us the GALAXY Packed event streamed all the way from Brooklyn New York. It felt so festive as the folks from Samsung unveiled their newest phones, wearables and more!

Joseph Aruta the Product Marketing Head for Mobile Experience in Samsung Philippines said in front of the stage "Tonight we will find out the improvements in the Galaxy Z series, see ultra features, brand new camera, the Galaxy Z Fold, Galaxy Watch series that fit your lifestyle."

They discussed the promise of evolving AI into something that can be used by all, with privacy and security also in it's core. They've got products with new form factors, wearables that are not just limited to wrists, something that can be used in everyday lives. They then released the new Galaxy Z Fold which by the looks of it, is thinner and lighter. It is also built more powerful than it's predecessors. 

It's AI is different because it understands context on its features. Since folks are asking for a bigger screen, more powerful battery, and still have it slim and light, they launched these handsets with that in mind. This is their thinnest yet, but they started improvements with the hinge. This opens wider and they were able to strengthen its layers. They restructured it, designed for all day use. The phone now has a pro grade camera, it's got a 200MP lens but thinner. No, wildly thin! It matters because you have to fold it, you can't fit it on your pocket if it's big, makes sense? 

They also inserted the best processor in the market, with an Android 16 based OS, an object eraser, updated NOW bar, updated multitasking functions which makes this something that you would like. They also now have the One UI 8, so you get Multimodality, which we mentioned that understands content on your phone. It's a shift on how to interact with technology and bring them to life. 

With the phone more personalized, it can also brief you about your day. It let's you see a context of what you will do for the day. It also makes smarter suggestions because of it. I also like circle to search, something that they developed thanks to their partnership with Google. Also a more useful Google Gemini for so many things you can do in a smart home. The device also has 38 percent more faster CPU, 41 percent faster NPU and 26 percent faster GPU, a 200 megapixel wide camera, so you get clearer images, unmatched clarity. It has a native video editor, can erase noise with "Audio Eraser" which can detect 6 different audio levels. At 20:18 it is pretty huge on display, costs 1,999 USD which I think it's worth it. 

The Galaxy Z Flip 7 has a 21:9 aspect ratio, has 8 more hours of video playback. It is also thinner, has armor flex hinge that can stay tough on impact. The 4:1 display outside and 120hz refresh rate, One UI 8 works wonders on this new phone. It also has games on the flex window. You can access your selected apps quick, and scroll for other content. It also has Gemini, and can use the camera to talk with it without opening the actual Flip phone.

The Galaxy Watch 8 on the other hand can read key health measures, designed for active folks, it looks good on the outside. It can also monitor your sleep, see if it affects your performance, plus those recovery periods will get measured. It'll make a big difference when you're monitoring your overall health!

Samsung Launches A33 and A53 5G

Just got off the much awaited GALAXY A event of Samsung. They launched A33 and A53 5G.

Incredible displays is the name of the game, having it more accessible for more consumers. It provides smooth videos, warmer light, with stereo speakers that makes sound rich, louder and better. It's also got brighter screens, less glare, so you can see even in brighter light conditions. Both phones have 4 cameras, produce high quality photos and videos. This is best for creators, with enhanced portrait modes and AI, easy to emphasize your subject prior to posting. It also captures smooth video, catches dynamic subjects with its VDIS technology.

The Night Mode is further improved, use AI to lessen noise and blur. It also has AI to identify objects that should be erased, using enhanced CPU, GPU, additional virtual RAM for various processes for your phone. It's got long lasting battery life, more power for the things you need to do. Add to that long list of features is its capability to be not bothered by water/getting wet.

The latest Galaxy A series pushes the limits of your imagination. Wide, Depth of Field, taking Portraits would be a cinch for the two phones. You can also edit before posting on your social channels. The Galaxy A33 and A53 5G will have AI employed on cameras, optimal light absorption even as conditions change. You can also delete objects from a shot, play around with the photos, sync them even while you're working on the file so you don't lose what you share... while maintaining control over it through sharing files. The Galaxy open system brings you closer, keeps you connected with Galaxy technology. The 5G connection also gives you faster upload and download rates, keeps you productive. The same goes with Galaxy buds that give you auto switch between devices, easy to share audio too with friends. Buds Together also make you listen to the same audio so you don't have the share the same pair. The A53 and A33 is water and dust resistant (IP67), also convenient to travel light as Samsung Wallet comes integrated. The battery lasts almost 2 days so you have convenience without having to charge. The buds can also be detected through apps, so if you lost it you'll get it and have it beep. Privacy is also on top, with the dashboard, it will show everything that uses data. Powerful tech that lasts.

Prime software and hardware, all in Samsung. Wouldn't that make you want one? The New Impressive Samsung Galaxy A22

I've had the chance to actually use this new addition to the Galaxy A series, it's the Samsung Galaxy A22. Made for tho/se who are into content creation, this is equipped with a powerful camera that gets quality in fun and colorful ways. In the Philippines, available colors like Black, White, Mint and Violet colors. The one I got to use for a few days was Black and I actually like how it looks.

You can say it's photo and video centric because it's got Quad cameras on the back, wherein the main one has 48MP, 8MP for the ultra wide lens, and 2MP for the others like Macro and Depth of Field lens. Now if you're usually with shaky hands, you utilize the Optical Image Stabilizer so your viewers won't feel dizzy watching your YouTube videos. The A22 is also smart, it uses intelligent AI camera experience so scenes are identified right away just by merely pointing at a subject. For dark or low light scenes, the Night Mode would help not just to see the images, but to capture stable shots so you get awesome photos. The phone's scene optimizer automatically adjusts the levels of brightness, contrast, white balance and other elements of the images. If you prefer, you can also edit it according to filters available in the phone (and adjust it to your liking).

Viewing movies, KDrama and just about any game with its Super AMOLED Display will surely be an amazing experience and possibly, you'll appreciate the 90Hz refresh rate that it can do when you play moba or FPS games on mobile. This phone also has Eye Comfort shield that lessens blue light that won't be comfy in the eyes especially in the evenings.

Your imagination would surely be the only limit with this phone, it ain't that expensive either at Php 11,990. You can get it in Samsung online or Experience Stores nationwide. There's also available promos which you can take advantage of, you'll get it after purchasing the smartphone and registering as a Samsung Member. There are also flexible terms at 0%, just head to the store and ask for it. This phone also lasted me quite a few days before I had to connect it to a charger with regular social use. The 5000mAh battery does that, and it charges fast because of the 15W capability. Don't say I didn't tell you about it. Oh and yes, the Galaxy A22 5G version is Php 13,990, a few thousand bucks difference ain't bad no?

SAMSUNG Outs Two Entry Level Phones Galaxy M02 and M12

The Samsung Galaxy M02 and the Samsung Galaxy M12

Looks like Samsung is going to be giving consumers a LOT of choices this year. Recently, they launched 2 new entry level phones in the market and we've gotten to test out one of them, the Samsung Galaxy M12. The other one they launched is the Samsung Galaxy M02. 

Here's our first impression of the new Samsung Galaxy M12 on video:

The Galaxy M12 comes in Black, Blue and Green. It's got a 6.5 inc HD+TFT display, an Octa Core 2GHz Exynos 850 Processor, comes in 4GB and 64GB storage. You can also expand it to 1TB on a separate micro SD card and enjoy hours of social media, streaming and gaming as its got a 5000 mAh battery. It also has Quad rear cameras featuring a 48MP main cam, 5MP ultra wide, 2MP Macro and 2MP for depth of field. The front camera is an 8MP, so you can still take awesome selfie shots with apt amount of details. The phone also has got 15W fast charging capability, a finger print scanner on the side and dolby atmos audio. I have had the privilege of editing photos, videos, recording them as well and it performed at par/even better than other entry level phones on this price range. It did run Mobile Legends and Call of Duty Mobile on it, I've enjoyed several minutes of games before I started browsing social media channels on it. 

The more affordable Samsung Galaxy M02 on the other hand carries a Quad Core MT6739WW processor. It also got a 2GB RAM and 32GB storage for all your photos and videos. It comes in Black, Blue and Gray colorways and has dual back cameras that have 12MP main and 2MP for macro shots. It also has a 5MP front camera which is ample for selfies and taking videos for socials. Currently, the prices for these two land on Php 7,490 for the Samsung Galaxy M12 and Php 4,490 for the Samsung Galaxy M02.

Samsung also has an exclusive #MakeYourMove sale on Lazada so if you prefer the Galaxy M12, it would be best to get it from there. The Galaxy M02 on the other hand can be bought in Samsung partner stores like MX MemoXpress Online, Shopee, Abenson, Gizmo Central, Galleon and Samsung.com. There's lots of things Samsung is introducing soon, perhaps more AIOT devices? Smart homes? They're just starting!

SAMSUNG Launches the Galaxy A72, A52, A52 5G and A32

Finally, we could now say that the SAMSUNG Galaxy A72, A52 5G, A52 and A32 is here in the Philippines!

The Galaxy A series definitely gives powerful innovation for less the price and it's been a hit in the Philippine market for several years. I've seen my friends use it, even I succumbed to actually having it. The latest ones are equipped with even more powerful cameras that can do so much whether you are into photos or videos. It's like a dream phone for content creators and those who are frequently utilizing social media because it can shoot and edit them all, without going overboard with the money you spent for it. 

 

 

These new phones promise not only the great camera, but smoother display, splash and water resistance, and a long lasting battery life for starters. That's great news especially for those who are looking forward to expand their Samsung ecosystem at home if they're carrying smart appliances, the Galaxy Tabs, the Buds Pro and Buds Live. Imagine the things you can do with that right? Now, there's more room for 4K videos and up to 30 different image modes that will be a delight especially if you are keeping memories seriously. It was not often to see quad cameras with 64MP high resolution tech before, but it's now possible to do that and it's in these phones. Shooting day or night wouldn't matter, with its processing power it can handle any image whatever time of the day. The Galaxy A72 also has 30x Space Zoom which can do a lot of things image wise, with no need for enhancements anymore because it can do things that were unimaginable a few years back. The phones also have filters and emojis so you can personalize all your images if you want to. They also carry Super AMOLED screen displays with 120Hz refresh rates, which means you would look at the screen differently as it becomes a hell of a lot smoother than before. Design wise, its build gets lesser fingerprint or scratch magnets and made it tougher for regular use. You can also now listen to music together with Buds Together technology and Music Share functions on your phone. 

This is mighty without the chance of damage against the elements as it is water and dust resistant, officially carrying an IP67 rating. It can survive being submerged under a meter of water for 30 minutes. As for after sales care, you can also avail Samsung Care +7 so you could get peace of mind against damages, breakdowns, theft and loss. The A52's have a 4,500 mAh batteries, while the A72 has an even bigger 5000 mAh. If you fancy a faster 5G capable phone, get the A52 5G model as it gets speed you've never had before. Aside from that, they've got some pretty good memory on these phones which you can even stretch further up to 1TB. Video taking in 4K with it then makes more sense, plus the speakers on them are quite good.

 

 By the way, the Galaxy A32 (which will be released at a later date) has a 6.4 inch FHD sAMOLED Infinity U 90Hz screen and the MediaTek Helio G 80 Processor. It's also got an 8+128GB memory and Quad rear cameras composed of a 64MP AF lens, 8MP Ultra Wide, 5MP for depth of field and 5MP for Macro shots. The front camera is a 20MP one, so selfie quality is not lagging behind! 

These phones are also available in Awesome Violet, Awesome Blue, Awesome Black and Awesome White. They're also having promotions on March 18-April 4 giving free waterproof bluetooth speakers, other freebies depending on the model you get. Celebrities Root for Samsung Galaxy Note20

Who else but Miss Universe Catriona Gray, Restaurateur and content creator Erwan Heussaff, Bianca Gonzalez and huge gamer Gino Quillamor vouched for the new Samsung Galaxy Note20 and Note 20 Ultra. 

For Cat, she loves taking notes with the Note 20's S pen and scribble everything on Samsung Notes. She's a very busy woman and with the various charities and causes she's involved in, there's a lot of paperwork or documents that need to be signed. She also love writing down ideas, so she could asses where she could help. She also designs textile prints so whenever she's got an idea, she whips out her phone and starts doing it.

Erwan on the other hand is so much of a food enthusiast. Whenever he feels, hears, sees, taste some special dishes on his travels, he writes them down for inspiration. There are a lot of ways to discover things so he puts them all on his blog and vlog. He also takes the Samsung Galaxy Note20 Ultra along to take videos because it can shoot 8K quality, which is impressive for something handheld. Bianca on the other hand relies on the Galaxy Note20 Ultra's 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2.0 display to view photos and videos. She needs this a lot being in the media, to host shows, you've got to know what you are talking about and she even uses the Samsung DeX to easily connect her phone to her Smart TV so she can both view reports, current events and still do useful things on her smartphone. Gino on the other hand uses the Galaxy Note20 Ultra’s Game Booster with an enhanced NPU to make sure he gets ahead of the pack. Gaming takes a lot of resources, and it needs to have a fast refresh rate so he can do hand eye coordination at max speed, and he's thankful the phone can do 120Hz for its refresh rate. Imagine the things you can do with that on third person shooters or rpg's, he's pretty fond of that.

Honestly, I haven't had the pleasure of actually using a Samsung device in my lifetime. I've seen them with friends and I see how happy they are.
