Shop at Puregold and Help Raise Funds for Communities

Your usual grocery shopping at Puregold has just got more meaning now as availing their new anniversary promos now help fund their community outreach programs. In September, they did Puregold Panalo Cup wherein shoppers got to purchase limited edition cups with endorsers TVJ on it. Proceeds went to Hospicio de San Jose which is a place for orphans, abandoned kids and for the elderly. They also put it to basic needs, educational supplies, making the contribution of Puregold customers a huge part of this.

Puregold Price Club Inc. President Vincent Co says "We have been able to do this for years and now we have our shoppers not only get good value for money products but share with those who need it most. We need positive changes and this collaboration with shoppers would be good for short and long term goals, and our efforts."

As part of Puregold's anniversary celebrations, they also got Visar Society to do custom tote bags for the benefit of La Mesa Watershed where SB19 Justin de Dios designed "People of Puregold", to signify the help that the Puregold community was able to bring. It was sold late September, but will be available again around October 16 to 26. It'll be good especially for fans of the group, and those who genuinely want to help (costs Php 125 if you get Php 1500 worth of groceries and Php 200 anniversary items). La Mesa Watershed Reservoir needs a lot of trees and its species.

There will also be a raffle draw happening on October 8 where Puregold will choose winners that will be sent to Hong Kong (10 winners), gadgets (20 winners), Hakot with the Stars/grocery run (20 winners), and Sari Sari Store showcase for 50 people. PUREGOLD Showcases Romance Web Series at TNAP Convention

Just had so much fun seeing A LOT of Filipinos take the long way to enjoy savings at the yearly Tindahan ni Aling Puring aka TNAP Sari-Sari Store Negosyo Convention 2023. The crowd was no joke, bearing their own carts and brands came in tons to make sure the best deals for them were available til doors closed at the World Trade Center in Pasay City. 

We were also there to interview the cast of "Ang Lalaki sa Likod ng Profile", a web series shown at The Puregold Channel on YouTube. They've done so many entertaining shows there, so if you haven't subscribed yet, this may well be the reason to do so. 

Meet Wilbert Ross, he plays Bryce, a gamer in the series. He's proven time and time again that he's just not lucky in love. Through suggestions from friends, he began using an app in hopes that his fortune changes. There he met Yukii Takahashi who plays Angge. Their conversation was light, a bit romantic, and while he was innocently describing his ideal girl, it was just HER. 

Wilbert has really nice words to say about Yukii, who although only has been in the industry for about a year, has made work quite easy for him and the whole cast of "Ang Lalake Sa Likod ng Profile". He talked about it lengthily on this video, and a few things about pairings he's had in the past. Please, enjoy!

 

We also got some highlights off the press conference when they got on stage, it was nice to see Director and Producer Chris Cahilig talk about the current Director of the show Victor Villanueva who he says was a person he only dreamed to work with. Puregold executives also went there and supported the cast, telling how important the series they come out with on the channel to make sure their messages would come across different demographics especially the consumers who regularly shop at Puregold.

 

Aside from Wilbert and Yukii, cast members Kat Galang, Migs Almendras, VJ Mendoza, Ms. Marissa Sanchez,  Star Orjaliza, Moi Marcampo, TJ Valderrama and Anjo Resurreccion were there to answer questions from the press. It was fun watching them attest to the love story of Bryce and Angge because they too were a little giddy from getting teased on stage. People from all ages would certainly love this!

As you cans see, every Puregold Tindahan Ni Aling Puring event is jam packed like this! It was insane to see a lot of people in one place, Puregold is certainly doing good!

Producer/Director Chris Cahilig also announced a film competition which they are working on, they will announce more details about it in the coming weeks, so stay tuned! There's so much more than just Puregold being so generous every year. The stories they tell through these web series just make me realize how important it is for people to learn while enjoying a good show. Congratulations to the cast and The Puregold Channel, can't wait for the last episode to run so you can do a second season of this. I have enjoyed the story!

OFW Success Stories at Puregold's TNAP

The pandemic was surely something that OFW's around the world found difficult. Not only were they restrained and confined in the comforts of their homes, but some also lost their jobs because businesses were not open. That means, a lot of OFW's weren't able to also provide for themselves or their families and returning to the Philippines was also the last resort.

LANDERS Superstore Calls for Donations

I've been struggling appreciating the holidays especially when several provinces in Visayas and Mindanao were hit by Typhoon Odette. Although I've helped in my own little way, there are still a lot of people suffering without food, water, electricity and even information because internet connection doesn't exist.

Good thing there are several private entities that are launching donation drives to help in making sure supplies are going to get there. Landers Superstore members and non members can now donate water, hygeine kits, clean clothes, pillows, blankets, and other non perishable items in all their branches nationwide. Aside from that, you can purchase things to donate on their website landers.ph/help-vismin and use the voucher code HELPVISMIN so delivery fees will not be charged, all of it will be picked up by the Philippine Army so they can get them to Typhoon Odette hit areas. As of now, they have a total of 12.5 Million pesos worth fo products delivered and 5 Million from their partner Deca Homes. They are also supplying tap water at the Grand Convention Center in Cebu during office hours, to hopefully not have anyone lacking water wherever in Cebu.

LANDERS SUPERSTORE Opens Uptown BGC Branch

It looks like businesses are back in action as a couple of days ago, we witnessed the opening of LANDERS SUPERSTORE at Uptown Palazzo in BGC. It sits in front of the restaurant lane opposite the Adidas Uptown Mall entrance. This is a much needed refuge for residents inside the former base and nearby communities. As you know, LANDERS has carry tons of food products, appliances, clothing and so much more. This is also their 6th one in the country and if you ask me, they win in variety especially with imported products. Here's how my trip there went, oh and please subscribe!

 What I like about this new branch is that it isn't as warehousy as most membership shops do. They aesthetics are clearly made that way so you look at every corner and feel like you'll love taking photos for Instagram on it. They've got good deals so make sure to check out the signs especially the meat section, the grocery too. Now I've had questions thrown over at YouTube and asked about not going here because it's unhealthy, that's misconstrued and old ideas. First, I've seen a LOT of organic food being sold there including veggies and other healthy options. Food prepared in packages are also prepared on site with an actual cold kitchen in the center, that can be seen from the fresh produce area. You should take a look.

There's also Dough and Co. inside the store where you can get excellent breads, cookies and pastries that usually cost a lot in coffee shops but you can get it there at a fraction of its original cost. You can get coffee at Doppio, their in house coffee shop. Aside from that, you can get a free haircut at their barbershop soon, as it was still being finished when I was there during the launch. They took time putting in items in the store, you'll love each isle and find something that would be best for your family, your friends, I wouldn't be surprised if you get them stuff for Christmas.

Puregold Channel To Air Finale of GVBoys

After several hilarious weeks of watching the macho GVBoys, the series is about to end its first season this weekend (Saturday, August 28). 

This is free of charge and is uploaded on YouTube as a way of Puregold Channel's efforts to provide entertainment during the pandemic.

Don Cuaresma the series director makes sure you'll be laughing all throughout the show where Jerome Ponce, Dave Bornea, Nikko Natividad bring life to the characters of Jawo, Zeus and Dax. The last episode will be a little scary because Aling Perly, Kathryn B (played by Carmi Martin and Elsa Droga) and the boys will be in a hostage/kidnapping situation. Aside from that, a few more revelations will happen with regards to Zeus' lovelife.

The cast is extremely hopeful that another installment/season will happen soon because they enjoyed making this project despite the restrictions. Ms Carmi says "This show made us bond and so close that we treat each other like family. I'm looking forward to work with the boys and amazing cast once again!". Judging from the views they're getting in both YouTube and Facebook, people are loving them even more and last time I've checked, it was over 3M already!

Now if that's not going to be a reason for Season 2, I don't know what will. Oh and may I just tell you, because you love them this much, they're going to release 2 EXTRA EPISODES on September 4 and 11 so make sure you're going to watch it okay? Now put that on your schedules and watch it 7PM this Saturday and the dates I've mentioned just now. 

It's going to be good. Really good!

Go Shopping Philippines Issues Statement on Launch Postponement of Go Shopping app

Go Shopping Philippines recently announced the soft launch of their app this coming July 16, but this afternoon, they have sent a notice to media outlets about the postponement of the said launch because of app publishing issues that have been raised by the Go Shopping app developer on iOS. They issued an official statement about this, so please read the statement below.

July 15, 2021

It is with sincere apologies that Go Shopping Philippines, and GEP Solutions, our partner developer would like to inform our friends in the media and the general public that there is a need to postpone the Go Shopping Philippines soft launch tomorrow because until today, IOS is still needing time to continue review our registration.

Considering that this project is such a gargantuan system development, it is understandable that deep scrutiny will be done, and this is why we have submitted our application way ahead of time. However, the situation is aggravated by the fact that the pandemic has caused the Apple store to operate slower than usual and this is evident in their own statement in their website.

Furthermore, on June 7, 2021, Apple released new policies and guidelines that changed the scenario for the developers to adhere to- adjustments we had complied with already. We shall wait for our IOS approval in the next two weeks and will definitely open our E-Commerce site by the end of July whether we get our IOS accreditation or not. This means we will serve our customers with just the Android registration and people can download our site using only Google Play while waiting for Apple App to be functional. If we have our choice, it is best to launch with both Google Play and App Store together. However, if it takes longer time to wait for the other, we will proceed definitely, with just Google Play.

In the meantime, we will continue our Beta Testing while waiting for the IOS approval for two weeks more, and ensure that the system will be running smoothly, hopefully devoid of glitches and other threats. We understand that since there are many facets of our mega app that need deeper scrutiny so we do not blame Apple in doing what they need to do. Under the circumstances, however, we seek understanding from the general public and continue to communicate to all with excitement that alas, a Filipino mega E-commerce App is about to serve them. The soft launch will happen on July 31, 2021.

Shopping for Essentials

Everybody was going crazy about the recent sale in Lazada. I on the other hand was staring blankly on the screen and just put this on my wishlist. It's a Fat Bike, well yeah it's in my cart but I have to think of essentials at home and prioritize accordingly.

So I just went to official stores and began picking up items like food, toiletries and things I need around the house because we're all still staying at home. The GCQ isn't a term we take lightly and perhaps, that's the best thing to do unless we do have a vaccine for COVID-19. I asked everyone about what they needed at home, some items were available too at Lazada so I put them all in one order and used the PayMaya voucher in Lazada to take 200 pesos off my purchase. That saved me a lot and in turn, get a lot more to purchase in the app, putting food on the table.

Things really have changed in the recent months, I am glad to have been able to use PayMaya for my essentials. Puregold and KAINdustriya Convention 2018

I remember the times I was able to shop in Puregold because I was able to only go there twice in my lifetime, no joke. I admit, I am so jealous of the people who frequent their warehouse because their members have lots of perks even if the prices of their products were already dirt cheap. I find the exclusivity appealing and they help businesses grow because they know if the SME’s grow, they will too.

Ivy Piedad of Puregold says “After weeks of challenging eliminations and shows, we’re here to witness the growth of Kaindustriya. They will also do MIX MASTERS which is a flairtending and mixing competition. They will win their own booths and mobile bar if they win. Dole Pineapple Chunks landed on my salad. I don't really dig plain old leaves on my bowl so I sweeten it up with this awesome pieces of pineapple which doesn't make my stomach ache even if eaten early in the morning. I find it less acidic and better if consumed throughout the day as a snack.
