This just came in. The STADA Group is currently expanding in the Asia-Pacific region. They've been growing with several acquisitions in Europe and now apart from being a global manufacturer of high-quality generic drugs and consumer healthcare products, they announced today the acquisition of FERN in the Philippines. It's one of the leading brands in country specifically in Vitamin C. Products like FERN-C, FERN-C Kidz and Kiddimin which has been helping tons of kids get their daily allowance of vitamin C is now part of their portfolio. This is good news.
STADA initially had acquired Croma Medic Inc. during the early 2000's and recently, renamed into STADA Philippines.
STADA CEO Peter Goldschmidt says “After launching STADA Philippines, we will continue growth in this market as well. The acquisition of FERN will help us succeed. This is in line with our strategy to strengthen our portfolio with well-established consumer healthcare brands and also expand in selected emerging markets like the Philippines.
