Jollibee got us at the Trinoma Activity Center as they transformed it into Cheesy Yumburger BESTFest to welcome the country's well loved girl group BINI. They are officially endorsers of the cheesiest, beefiest and best tasting Yumburger across the country... the Cheesy Yumburger. If that wasn't enough, they also represent the NEW Double Cheesy Yumburger.
I don't want to just write about it, so I'm sharing the video coverage we did that afternoon!
It was fun, the girls were extremely talented, and the whole place was quite crazy. Would you consume just one Cheesy Yumburger after all these? I don't think so!
The girls even talked about how they were spending so many nights, right after China, Korea, they ordered right from the airport so when they get home, they just eat a whole burger and Chickenjoy because they miss it. It reminds them of home.
You've probably seen the new Jollibee short films that have been released this Valentines day. I've watched it ahead of the pack as our best friend Jollibee gave us a screening a few days ago. These two films were directed by Paolo Villaluna who's got several films under his belt plus a few commercials which he has been part of prior to making this film.
Guess what? They were there during the premiere! OMG!
Paolo is a fan of the previous Jollibee commercials and he (and his team of + Jollibee creatives)wanted a different take this year, so instead of actors, he wanted real people who had real stories to tell us what LOVE is. The first is called "30 Dates" and the second one is called "To Love Again".
In 30 Dates, it stars 2 friends who wanted to make each other happy. The girl was having her birthday, so the guy figured what was keeping her happy... it was a Jollibee meal. So he sought to have her come to a Jollibee meal for 30 days. They dined in, took take outs, used the drive thru, and when it ended, the lady figured OMG, "I liked him already". They were just friends at first, but they developed something good over the month they've gotten to know each other. They now have a kid and more days to enjoy Jollibee again.
The second one called "To Love Again" was about a woman who married early, got a child, and got separated. After that experience, she thought she would never love a man again. During that time, a police man in training saw her and took interest in her. He really had to do the legwork and prove to her, and her family, plus a lot of naysayers that HE loves her... and her kid. He had to prove this by being consistent, and by really going out of his way to make sure that he would show how much he loves her... and her son too. Make sure to prepare a LOT of tissues because yes, this will make you cry.

Just attended the "Tara nat sumayaw, sumaya!" event of Jollibee this afternoon at the Zero Studios in Quezon City. It's the home studio of world renowned A-Team who's done remarkably well representing the country in dance championships and they had us try the Share the Joy dance which is going viral on social media. They have also recently launched the #ShareTheJoy video featuring Gary Valenciano and Julie Anne San Jose which you can also watch on their official channels.
The video actually was fun and felt like it brings memories. They showcased Jollibee's 45 years in it, and the experience of sharing the joy here in the Philippines and the rest of the world!
Meanwhile, here's what happened during the dance workshop.
After the short dance workshop by the A-Team, we were then surprised by the appearance of Asia's Limitless Star Julie Anne San Jose which everyone called JulieBee when she came in. She came in a red jacket and pants, perfect for the endorsement! I loved how she danced the Share the Joy song with Jollibee that afternoon, she was also super generous in letting everyone take a selfie with her especially with the moms and kids that day.
I hope you get to #SharetheJoy with Julie Anne and Jollibee by dancing the same song, the actual dance number is on the video I shared so I get that you'll have a good time following the simple steps they made. Had so much fun yesterday at the UNIQLO Flagship store in Glorietta 5 in Makati City. Press, Vloggers, Bloggers and Influencers were treated to first dibs on how they celebrate 10 successful years in the Philippines. While we were there, I was one of the few people who got to join games as they asked hints of the new collection they're releasing to commemorate the occasion.
Their thrust is having a UT collection that's ICONIC. They collaborated with brands that have been in the lives of Filipinos, because of course, they are LIFEWEAR. They then announced that the THE BRANDS UT PILIPINAS include JOLLIBEE, SAN MIGUEL BEER, NATIONAL BOOKSTORE and SELECTA. Much of them had the official logos of these brands, Jollibee had the bee logo in the front left side, San Miguel Beer had the San Miguel Pale Pilsen label on the black shirts. The one for National Bookstore had pockets with the classic red and white stripes design of the old National Bookstore logo. Then Selecta was a bit more colorful putting the actual Selecta trike with words TENENENN a couple times, a thing that these machines play when they're out on the streets and getting kids sweet treats these days! Which one takes your fancy?

They are also doing a lot of promos using the Uniqlo app so make sure you download that as well. They have showed me a few CSR projects they do with re-used fabric from cuts made on alterations of jeans in the store. They sell them to local women who sew and buy the product back as bags, they were awesome looking! So really, there's no waste happening with this clothing brand.

It was so nice to see John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo yesterday for Jollibee as they announce Jollibee Studios new film called One True Pair. Their pairing has always been so crazy, much awaited and heavily missed, so this opportunity to see them together in one film, is definitely made of dreams.
Seeing them laughing, seated side by side brings back more of their pairings in previous films. I could feel how everyone in the room was also trying to contain butterflies in their stomach as they watch for small gestures from JLC and Bea. Tons of their friends from showbusiness sent their well wishes, if I didn't know their professions I swear it felt like a wedding LOL. I remember seeing Angel Locsin, Maja Salvador, Billy Crawford, popular band Ben&Ben, who were equally excited seeing them back on screen.

Everybody's talking about it so here we go trying it out today. It's Jollibee's crunchy, juicy, and flavorful Chickn'wich. First of all, the name convention is good so they wouldn't be like the run of the mill chicken sandwich.
The Chick'nwich is basically a huge chicken fillet sandwich that's been breaded, fried to perfection so you get to have a crunchy exterior and juicy meat inside. The meat actually reminded me of the actual Chickenjoy so they probably have processed that the same. The crunchy breading was different though because they probably needed to have that stay crunchy for a longer time.
The dressing was also different, not the same goop that they use for other burgers. Aside from that, the bun is also on a different level. It's softer, shiny on top, thin to just give you enough bread for the thick chicken cut they got you on the sandwich. I think it's brioche and fits the thing perfectly. It's not spicy so I'd be glad to see a version of it soon. I bet they'll be making a different Chick'nwich too because the box for it has "Others" on another check mark. For me, that's good news.
If you're hearing different opinions or reviews about the Jollibee Chick'nwich, it might be a good time to not listen to their stories. Do yourself a favor and get one yourself. I'm pretty satisfied with what I ate for that amount of money. Yes you could say there are better ones out there but are they priced like Jollibee? I don't think so.
Go give yourself a break and get one on selected Jollibee stores in Metro Manila. I think they're rolling it out in other places soon!
She surprised a lot of people when she stepped up to the plate and won an Olympic gold medal for the Philippines. 2021 is the year she set a new Olympic Record in historic fashion, after years of hard work, tough training and dedication to a sport she loves, she's brought the country insurmountable pride.
The country's favorite fast food champ Jollibee knows that her story needs to be told in order to inspire a lot of people, hence this shortfilm called "GINTO" was done together with its partner agency McCann Worldgroup Philippines. They hope this would bring joy and inspiration not only for aspiring athletes, but to every Filipino who's got dreams.
Hidilyn once trained with water jugs and sacks of sands from construction sites. She almost gave up on her dreams, but she kept on going. In 2016, she got the silver medal in her weight class at the Rio Olympics, which has inspired even more athletes. It made her work even harder to get the gold medal in the next meet. When she saw the short film, she cried seeing the front-liners and kids cheering for her. She admits feeling the joy, the hardships, the things that have strengthened her during the toughest times. She also got the chance to act in the short film, which she feels was very rewarding because she's seeing it from another perspective.
Hidilyn is now trying to finish her studies (in DLS CSB) and prioritize training for the next Olympics. She wants to put up a training facility /schools so she could help aspiring athletes, like what she had experience when she was a budding weightlifer. The #KwentongJollibee Ginto was also done by award winning director Pepe Diokno. Hidilyn wishes she would share her passion and perhaps do outreach activities in the next few months.

I had a bout of craving a few days ago and the fix was actually easy, I bought 6 Jollibee Champs for dinner. I was so excited to go home because it's been a while since I've had one. Honestly, I could finish this all in one sitting but of course, I shared this with my family. I was on my second Champ when my Mom suddenly told me to eat half of her Champ too because she loves it, she just couldn't finish a whole burger. I remember seeing a poster in Jollibee Ali Mall and if I only knew this would happen today, I could have ordered her the new Jollibee Champ Jr.!
It's basically the junior sized version of the beefy Jollibee Champ. This also comes in the same flavors as the regular one like the Amazing Aloha and Bacon Champ. It's also cheaper too so you don't need to get the bigger one if you're not in the mood to finish the bigger size like my Mom. Other than that, you can always order the CHAMP and get a knife then give me the rest if you're not eating it LOL!

our friends from Jollibee are at it again with these commercials. If not shock, I'd expect people to always be extremes either to be romantic or cry. Not that we're surprised but this one is pretty special. This digital short was shot in New York and directed by award winner Law Chen (from Singapore).
It's about a migrant family (year 2060) talking about the hardships and tribulations we've all encountered in 2020 and 2021. The pandemic has made businesses stop, work halted, people sent to hospitals as they get sick, and literally turned our lives upside down. They took a jab at being hopeful, what good this incident has made all of us. It made us see what is important, to become together as a family, to get back up and give ample attention to the things we took for granted.
I totally agree, 2020 became the year of the family because we got closer, we looked out for each other and pretty much, it has made this pandemic a little bearable. We needed to survive and we had our family, not just to care, but be there for us on the most difficult times.
Jollibee made me cry twice already, but I'll have that Champ tomorrow. I need to comfort myself now. Go watch it and see how you'll feel afterwards.
Thanking the special people in your life is the greatest gift you can give them during this season. Although we're all locked up and in mumbo jumbo quarantine, our families have always been there for us. During that session, they shared their experiences bringing up their kids and how they want their families to grow even during your lowest times. Joshua Garcia is the talk of the town today. The trending video he did with Julia Barretto just gave us so many memories of their past relationship, so much that all the things they said on that Moira music video, felt so real... as if it came from the words they weren't able to tell each other before they broke up (if that did happen). Anyway, Joshua doesn't just do drama these days, he's actually working out and if you haven't noticed, he's getting a bit bigger than what he looked like a couple months ago. It's a good regimen which might land him in future roles as he's extremely capable of doing so.

This thing popped up on my PayMaya app and yes I got hungry. I was supposed to order in Chowking but I'm a burger guy so I switched to Burger King. I didn't really know you could do this now and order via Facebook Messenger. I went to the official Burger King Facebook page and clicked on their Message button. I proceeded to choose a few items by initiating the bot with the Order Now command. You can actually do this in all Jollibee Foods Corporation restaurants so it's pretty handy.
They have very minimal delivery charges, even lower than Grab. Not that I'm insinuating anything, but anything to save a buck right? Aside from that, the order system was pretty simple. Although they don't have the restaurant promos listed on the menu.
Unlike the Grab option, you can't track the driver. The only thing that kept me assured was, I was ordering in a legit page and they tell you when everything is packed and on its way to you. I paid via PayMaya by entering my phone number and password, which then sends an otp to you confirming payment.
I then got an online receipt plus a text message of my transaction. It also sent me an email with all the details of my order.
It only took a few minutes after the last message of Burger King before I got the orders I made. The XL Chicken and Whopper was really good, although I think I generally ordered because of the Onion Rings. That hit the spot!
