Making Candies at Made in Candy

Thursday, July 23, 2015

We had the chance to visit the Made In Candy branch in Glorietta 4 last Monday with my co-clingy blogger friends Earth from Earthlingorgeous.com and Rodel of NognogInTheCity.com. The mission was clear, we had to get our hands into one of the nicest things we dreamed of when we were kids, it's how to make candy. Made In Candy is a Singaporean brand founded in 2009. Just like the rest of us, they loved candies. This love for the sweet treats made them think of putting up a full blown candy kitchen so they could start making original, personalized, hand made candies and sell them off as treats for customers who want it. Their passion has steadfastly grown and with the influx of corporate clientele and those who just needed them for special occasions, they have put up several stores, then began branching all throughout Southeast Asia. Now, there are about 5 Made in Candy stores in the Philippines (Powerplant Rockwell, Alabang Town Center, SM Megamall, Glorietta 4, SM Mall of Asia) and probably set to grow more in the next few years.

Made in Candy offers ready made retail rock candies, but all are still handmade. If you want to opt for customized orders, just remember it would require them around 4 kilos, or it depends on the complexity of your design. They do this for gifts, souvenirs, keepsakes for weddings, or corporate promotions. You just have to choose the color, flavor, words or design that you want to put in on the rocks. Then choose your packaging if you want big ones or small jars. You can also observe how they make it live inside the store if you prefer, then schedule for pickup right after that. Now here's how Earth, Rodel and I made our candies at the Glorietta 4 branch.

Sweet things should always be shared to loved ones, so if you're yearning to buy one for yourself make sure you get one for the folks at home or your girl/boyfriends. If you're planning to have one customized, please call them at 8665624, 09209649076 or email them at philippines@madeincandy.com. You can also follow them on their social media channels Made in Candy, Philippines on Facebook, @MadeinCandyPH on Twitter, and MadeinCandyPH on Instagram and use the hashtag #madeincandyph if you're sharing shots on those channels. Or better yet, visit their shops as mentioned earlier as they have people who can assist you and help you decide about that perfect candy you'll serve to your guests whatever occasion that may be.

We had fun doing this during our short visit in their Glorietta 4 branch, consequently it also happened on Lollipop day so it was buy 1 take 1 on all Lollipops, isn't that great? Well, there are going to be more days to celebrate sweetness so make sure you follow their social media accounts so you can catch offers like that. Please buy an extra bottle or bag of candies for me while you're at it haha!
