Tomato Time Opens Newest Branch at Shangrila Mall

Monday, October 31, 2016

Looks like our friends from Tomato Time has just set up shop at the posh Shangri-la Mall in Edsa Mandaluyong City. They're at the 5th level and are offering their lovely watches. I've had my first one around 2 years ago got another one a year after. I like their designs back then and how affordable their products are. Now, they've gone strides, leaps and bounds in coming out with even newer designs that would fit the NOW generation. They have also come out with very romantic pieces, personifying elegance when the occasion needs it. We were able preview the watches early as a perk, it was so nice!

They've come up with these easy, custom watches that already have designs like monograms, graphics, and even photos. They can actually accommodate orders if you want your own design immortalized on these timepieces by shelling out Php 500 or a bit more. They also have packaged corporate giveaways so if you're planning to get one for your employees, a Tomato Time watch must be something you could consider.

Plus ladies, I know you're eyes are stuck looking at these watches. They made this specifically for you and even wrap it up in Rose Gold palette boxes that will surely make it even MORE special. Now think about giving this as a gift to your sister, Mom or even Grandma. The watches would surely be something that they would want to keep, and when the batteries run out and you're under Tomato Time's 1 year warranty, they can fix it for you!

Now I'm planning to get my own site's logo to be inside one of these watches just to see if it's cute. The blogger already is but if wearing something from their collection would make it even better, I have no qualms not to go ahead and do it.

Tomato Time now has their branch at the 5th Floor of Shangri-la Mall in Mandaluyong City. They also have one in SM North Edsa which I frequently go to. This Christmas, it might be a good reason to visit their store because luxury doesn't really mean it has to be expensive. It's Tomato Time!

The Cast of GMA's "Hahamakin Ang Lahat" Facebook Live Sessions

GMA is starting a new afternoon header called "Hahamakin ang Lahat" (means renouncing everything just to please you) starring Kristoffer Martin (who's hunkier now), Joyce Ching (yes they're exe's in good terms), Thea Tolentino (premier villain), Renz Valerio (who promises to do mature things in this soap), and newcomer Bruno Gabriel (a very tall guy with good looks) and a couple more people to complete the cast.

Now I wasn't prepared to actually see what was going to happen to the Facebook Live Q&A because honestly this is my first time to see them in this setup. I was expecting it to be a little more on the interactive side and I think they even gave more than that. The greeting alone was shocking because they said "Hi and Hello" like it's the 4th of July.

This is my first time to see Bruno Gabriel and if my hunch is right, he probably is a ramp model. His built, very muscular body, would probably pass off as very athletic. He plays football, tennis, and just learned that he's the son of former actress Lani Lobangco. Albeit a bit quiet during the event, he comes off very eloquent when he talks, he got teased about that because it looked like he prepared a lot about what he was going to say in that live stream. I think the show had a different working title previously but he says he's excited to be part of this show. He's not nervous anymore because he got a lot of help from his co-actors. I think they're probably trying to pair him with Thea Tolentino in the show, but we have yet to find out how that would turn out.

She's lovely, a bit thinner than the last time I saw her and she's raring to challenge the KrisJoy pairing on this show. She's one of GMA's believable anti heroes, and she's done a remarkable job in her past shows. Now that she's in "Hahamakin Ang Lahat!" she plans to attack the character differently as she's not directly going to be evil. I got the sense that you might be rooting for her as well as she tries to be in the way of KrisJoy in this soap. We will find out on their premier this afternoon. I still owe her a Strawberry Shortcake because when I went to Trinoma that morning Papermoon didn't have one yet on the shelves and said to go back at 4pm, long story! But I'm so glad she's still here, remember the long running Half Sisters? Ah, you should expect more!

Joyce is very versatile. She could play possum one day and a monster the next. She's very bubbly, and Kristoffer and her rapport is just contagious! They're like an automatic tag team when playing around, they even finish each other's sentences. It would be easy to find them sweet on this show because I think they are in real life. If I didn't know Kristoffer's gf I would've believed they're still together. I'm sure you'll get along with how she'll portray her role this time as the romance evolved between her character and Kris'.

Kristoffer bulked up a bit, probably stemmed from working out a lot these past few months. He's a dynamite ready to explode when you put him in a group. He was drawing punchlines left and right, hugot's even. But this show will probably showcase his knack for drama, he's always been good in that department and this show would probably prove to be another challenge to see if KrisJoy still have what it takes to be a love team. I'm a fan of these two!

Taller, feistier, Renz Valerio was also trying to fool around with the cast that afternoon. He's not that shy anymore and he exudes good manners even if he's trying to be naughty. He's a really good example for teens now trying to phase in the more mature roles like in this soap. They were joking about him drinking and stuff, you should have been there live. His adoring fans can't wait to see him, they were the most vocal that afternoon and he's pretty thankful for that.  Watch his character become involved with the lovers, the other people in the show because he's someone to watch out for.

I hope you are all enjoying the show right now. Here's a rerun of thay Facebook Q&A shot from my camera. Enjoy!

Smart and PayMaya Gives Exclusive Perks with SMART MasterCard

Sunday, October 30, 2016

These are just some of the perks coming your way with Smart MasterCard
I already have my own credit card but I know most Filipinos don't have one because 1) they're afraid of it or 2) they don't qualify with the strict bank requirements that come with it. Well, here's the thing. Smart Communications is making it easier for you as they partnered with PayMaya, one of the largest digital payment platforms in the Philippines to introduce to you SMART MasterCard.

Smart MasterCard is exclusive for Smart, Sun and Talk N Text prepaid or postpaid subscribers. If you are not on these networks, then you better get one. Why? So you can start experiencing the Smart Digital Life and get EXCLUSIVE deals that only Smart MasterCard holders can enjoy. I'll tell you about it in a bit!

All you need to do is download the PayMaya app from Google Play Store or the App Store. After installing, just register for an account which includes your Smart, TNT or Sun mobile phone number. Load up the account as this is like a prepaid service and you instantly have your own Virtual Credit Card. Isn't that neat? Now you can use it for online transactions, even hailing Uber or Grab so you can ride in Manila anywhere you wish, as long as you've got sufficient funds in it.

You can also use PayMaya to send money to your loved ones. You just need their usual details and enable it on the app. It's FREE, and you can use your Smart Mastercard as an ATM soon. I think they'll have the service up right around next year.

You can also pay your bills online. If you're paying for utilities, major businesses and don't want the hassle of going to the individual payment centers or spend MORE on transportation, then just go to partner convenience stores and load up your PayMaya's Smart MasterCard and pay for it in a jiffy. Yes, no lines, no EDSA, no more hassle when you've got it. Aside from that, getting a Smart Mastercard means you're going to get EXCLUSIVE 10% discount on Prepaid Load or Promos from Smart Communications. It's for a limited time only so if I were you, I'd have the app installed NOW.

Best of all, you can load up on stores like Mini Stop, 7-Eleven, Robinsons Department Stores, The SM Store Customer Service counters, BDO, UnionBank, Smart and Smart Padala Centers nationwide! Oh and if you don't know yet, they are using secured connections so you're taken cared of. Remember, never share your card's details to anyone so you won't get unnecessary charges. Each transaction is recorded and if you're still skeptic, you can always enable fingerprint security if your phone has one. Isn't that neat?

PayMaya can be used to over 15,000 merchants and businesses nationwide and pretty soon they'll be issuing a physical Smart MasterCard plus an NFC enabled sticker if your phone doesn't have that by default. This will empower YOU to live your SMART Digital Life. That's what they've been trying to tell you since day 1. How can you not have the Smart MasterCard now?

A Meaty Holiday Season with CDO Premium

It is certainly beginning to look a lot like Christmas! My neighbors already have put up their trees, lashed out all the ornaments and took out their long lines of Christmas lights. Filipinos are known to celebrate the longest Christmas season that starts as early as September. I can't blame them though, it just puts all of us in a good mood.

Well I felt that way a couple of days ago when a whole bag full of CDO Premium meat products arrived in my doorstep. Let's just say I didn't know who sent it, I think I just received a phone call while they were delivering it and when I thanked them through the number, it turns out I was talking to a delivery guy and not the one who sent it LOL. So in a nutshell, this is like a mystery basket. What's good though is that I absolutely LOVE CDO. Although I have to tell you, this is the first time I'm trying CDO Premium. So what's the difference?

The packaging looks so nice. One look at it and you think it's expensive but if you think about it, the imported brands cost even twice or thrice of what this is. For the quality of meat you're getting, it's substantially at par, I could tell they did take their time to create these lovely products to cater to a more pricey market. They still have the affordable ones which I have right now in my freezer but for those who want an even BETTER experience for hams, hotdogs and meat products, dish out a bit more and you'll get the PREMIUM line which I tried. Now I cooked these in different days for breakfast and dinner (because I cover events in the aftie). I took my time savoring each of the items because I know even if they stay in the freezer, they'll still taste good a few days after.

The CDO Premium Uncured Bacon was super good. This was my favorite among the things that were sent to me. I lightly fried it on a skillet with olive oil and did it just enough to have some caramelization on the edges. I could imagine people having garlic rice on the side or just have this with rye bread and a sunny side up egg for the PERFECT breakfast! This one however does not have nitrites or nitrates (which are still being connected to cancer) so if you're a health freak, you don't need to worry at all!

The CDO Premium Young Pork Tocino was my Mom's favorite. It's not overly sweet, just right. Perfect for a cup of white rice in the morning. I like the fact that this doesn't have artificial colors, and salitre. They use young pork for this so it would still be soft even after cooking. Makes sense.

I know it's almost Christmas but if you still won't be getting those huge hams from CDO, you can settle for several slices of it with the CDO Premium Classic Ham. I admit, I had this all to myself for dinner with a toasted bread. It was a perfect way to cheer me up after getting bruised from the hassles of commute and traffic. It's also gluten free and has no MSG, health freaks and allergic people should rejoice!

Kids would love the Super Jumbo CDO Premium Hotdogs. It's got that lovely meaty exterior that's so good to the bite. You can also have this with your favorite Filipino spaghetti, or just about any lunch box for school or office. They also had the salt lowered by 40% so if you are a little icky with it, this is your healthier alternative. It's got 0% trans fat too, no need to worry about having a belly later on.

I am going to make CDO Premium Meat products now a mainstay on my freezer and grocery list. It's all available now on your favorite supermarkets, grocery stores and meat stalls. It just takes a few minutes to cook and tastes great. You get premium products without paying too much for it, because CDO products are always priced right, they don't make a fool out of you unlike some brands I know.

It's time to eat!
