Boys Lockdown on Ticket2Me

Sunday, October 04, 2020

Blockchain enabled ticketing platform Ticket2Me is riding the BL wave in the country. I've seen several of these since I'm fully immersed online and I've seen their recently released trailer for it. Quality wise, it's just surreal to see something movie worthy to be shown online. They call it Boys Lockdown.

Boys Lockdown tells the story of Key Kalunsod (played by Ali King) and Chen Alvarez (did by Alec Kevin) set in the Philippines where they both live their lives during pandemic. These are their young years and includes their journey to find happiness, their experience falling in love, their hopes and dreams for the future.

Ali King is new in the business, but have always been savvy in things digital. He’s from and ad agency and does really good work on social media content as well. Alec Chen on the other hand is part of critically-acclaimed short film Fish Out of Water which won the Special Jury Prize for a short film in the 2016 Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival. This was also nominated in the best short film category in the 2017 Gawad Urian Awards. Also with them are GMA Artists Crystal Paras, Kaloy Tingcungco, Ivoy Colo, Teetin Villanueva, and Luis Padilla. Twitter and Tiktok Tita sensation Macoy Dubs will also appear in one of the episodes, so that’s something to also look forward to. The people behind the camera for this project are also equally talented with the likes of Tey Clamor, Popo Diaz and Seph Suarez, all of whom are no strangers to several film festivals.

Boys Lockdown tells stories of hope, forming genuine friendships at inopportune times. It also shows the human determination to survive this pandemic as better people, shows resilience despite the challenges of life in general, and all of these things.

The series will premiere on October 15, 2020 via Ticket2Me’s video player. It will also be available on Ticket2Me’s Youtube Channel come October 18, 2020. Get hooked on this at Ticket2Me’s website www.ticket2me.net and their social channels. Boys’ Lockdown would be a good place to start your BL binge watching.
